H-heyâŠwas the girl ruffling his hair a bit, there? Out of instinct, Ricken pouted, attempting to gently push the offending hand away with a gloved hand of his own. âD-donât do that! Iâm not a kidâŠâÂ
Having his hair ruffled like that was never something he really liked complete strangers doing, it made it feel like they were treating him in a âkiddyâ way when he was totally serious. (He didnât like to admit he kind of liked having his hair touched, that WOULD have been kiddy.)
âThank you for fixing my hat back up, though - and Iâm also glad that you can forgive me for my hat hitting you like that, it looked like it hurt, sooo, as long as you donât ruffle my hair again, Iâm happy.â Rocking back and forth on the heels of his mage boots at that, his gaze flickered to the missâs own hat at her gestures to it.
âIâve never seen a mage hat like that before. Does it have some kind of special elemental powers?â Ah, Ricken had no idea not all âfancyâ hats were mage hats in this world (back home, any fancy hats tended to be reserved for only mages, so it made sense he would make that mistaken assumption.)Â
âOh, youâre not? Iâm so sorry!âÂ
[ Serena pulled back her hand. She wasnât exactly going to believe that he wasnât a kid, but she would respect that he didnât like having his hair ruffled up like that. She wasnât entirely so sure why she did it in the first place, force of habit maybe?Â
Though... she couldnât help but to be confused by his comment. He thought she was a mage - that was a first! She shook her head and raised up a hand defensively, laughing. ]
âOh, nonono! Iâm not a mage. Iâm a pokemon trainer! Mages and things like that donât really exist where Iâm from. Youâre a mage?! That sounds so cool! What do you do?â
[ She sounded a bit too excited, probably. But who could blame her? ]Â
