I know transphobia is scary and humiliating and so complex but it is so dangerous to tell other trans people that the only ones who will ever love and understand you are other trans people of your gender. its the quickest way to isolate yourself and radicalize yourself against everybody and just feel bitter and miserable all the fucking time

I appreciate Linuj's work, but having Kanade being doomed to be a bad person who will always want to control Hibiki was kind of a letdown in writing. I am not even against the idea of her always gravitating to Hibiki, but it could be done in other ways besides her being evil.

I hate that LINUJ made her entirely - well not dependent but attached ig?? to Hibiki. He had to make it weird with how it all went down in chapter 3 and it makes me feel like one of my favorite villains is shock value considering everything.

Not a fan of him saying that if Hibiki had died, Kanade would've just taken her life not too long ago. 😭 maybe I'm just bitter but I really wish we got more of the Otonokoji's outside of just each other. ESPECIALLY Hibiki, she deserved better.

Absolutely. I wish they had separate free times. I get why Linuj paired them together in their free times, but it felt like a missed opportunity to not separate them. If someone found one twin more compelling over the other one, it might seem off-putting to have them together.

I like to think that Kanade's personality must have come from somewhere.

Possibility 1 that Linuj could have worked with: Hibiki could have been bullied a lot as a child, which made Kanade become so protective of her that she just gets rid of people regardless of whether they are good or not. Her angle could be that she is so protective that anyone who gets close to Hibiki is an automatic threat to her.

Another possibility could be that both girls were neglected by their parents. Because of abandonment, Kanade gets very scared anytime Hibiki becomes friends with anyone because it reminds her of how her parents treated her.

Another possibility could be burnout. Perhaps both girls were expected to always work hard in a similar vein to Nagisa from UDG. Kanade started to have violent outbursts and started to kill as a way to gain back control. Hibiki aged regressed from the stress.

Those are just ideas from the top of my head. I am sure Linuj could have come up with something great, considering what he did put together in general. Women and girls in the Japanese music industry are put under a lot of stress, I wish he had explored that in their characters. Maybe music was their outlet. Maybe they were pressured into by their family. There's a lot to explore with both girls. Anything would have been better than evil just because.
