I want to shoot the movie Misery with you. You’d play the writer.
When you have me chained to the desk with a gun to my head, what are you gonna be making me write?

Tenna art by @9Aaaalt29 on twt
I'm literally rewatching Dungeon Meshi for this Tenna and Senshi thing I'm planning
hmm artists what feature do you draw on the face first. this is for science btw.
I kinda draw them all at the same time. Right because the forms are all part of the same thing and they interact with each other, so like you gotta get them all blocked in together so you get the angles and planes related to each other the way you want.
imagine a goat with a hat
STOP-
what hat did you give the goat what is the instinctual hat you gave to this goat

also shoutout to the time someone told me the satanic panic had nothing to do with media literacy, because it was religious. like. okay. right. i forgot media literacy was only about tv shows, and not, like, propaganda, and the news,
like i had classes on media literacy in 7th grade where we read articles and were asked to explain what those articles were telling us, why they were written, what they were about, how they may be biased, and how we could figure out if that information was true or false. understanding when you are being fearmongered to absolutely involves your media literacy skills. Especially when you are being asked to believe outrageous things about outgroups you know very little about.
One might say that religion itself has a lot to do with media literacy.
People can and should probably run some media literacy checks on their pastors and charismatic leaders and that book you found at the crystal store claiming it will teach you the ancient art of supplicating a Greek goddess.
I think the reason I still enjoy tumblr is that even though this all still pisses me off, I know that anything that makes me mad on here is 100% earnest. It's not ragebait or engagement farming, y'all are actually just that stupid sometimes
Strange Aeons did not make an entire video ranking fake Tumblr stories for y'all to say no one ragebaits on here.
If anything, the ragebaiting on here (when it does happen) is worse BECAUSE there's no monetary incentive. These people are pure artisans baiting for the love of rage.

Thinking of that one Reddit story they did on Smosh a few weeks ago where the OP's employee at a marketing firm came out to him and he didn't really know what to say so he just asked, "Do you have any insights about marketing to that demographic?"
(And then OP came back like a year or two later with an update that said employee was now married to his adopted brother, so I guess he did have some insights about marketing himself at least.)

Graham had just returned from Kyiv, Ukraine, where he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Wasn't there an orange or a yellow Dunkin coolatta at some point? Or is it one of those Mandela effects
Pretty sure I recall an orange one at least. Can't speak to yellow
My partner assures me that there was indeed an orange coolatta and also a tropical pineapple one that was yellow. He says they were out around the same time that McDonald's had salad shakers.
Learn how to express your anger better.
There’s a strange paradox when it comes to anger: repressing it can cause physiological problems, but so can expressing it through screaming, shouting, and hitting things.
In fact, these classic, childlike ways of acting out are ways of avoiding the actual experience of rage. The key is instead to allow yourself to feel anger but not lash out in response. Instead, sit calmly and let the rage burn through you.
You can have any animal for a pet. Any complications such as “keeping the animal healthy and happy” and “the time and effort it would take to keep happy and healthy pet” and “keeping yourself uneaten” and “the pet I want is kind of extinct” have all been solved perfectly. You don’t have to think of that.
What is your pet?
with a little help from his older brother, Hank Green has invented an absurdly enjoyable word-spelling game called smush.
This is fun!
USians, remember that British spelling exists! 😉
The world and tech changed so dramatically during our (millennial) generation that the idea of "older" people as tech dummies or whatever developed as we were teaching our boomer relatives and coworkers how email works and what an Internet is. Now, even though the average millennial is actually MORE tech literate than the average young side of Gen Z or Gen Alpha, the stereotype of "person over 30 can't do modern stuff" lingers, so they're all just confused and bemused when they see us competently wielding the same tech as them.
Or something along those lines.
If anyone needs further evidence that you can't self-optimize your way out of or prevent disability: apparently Bryan Johnson, who spends millions on his health, has developed an incurable automimmune disease:
Immortality obsessed tech investor Bryan Johnson reveals he was recently diagnosed with an incurable disease.
Last week, the longevity-obsessed tech investor revealed that he had been diagnosed with an incurable autoimmune disease in which his “stomach is eating itself.” But, true to his mission, Johnson believes he can biohack his way out of this gut-punch, too. “I’m going to try and solve it,” he wrote on X. “Will share all.” The disease Johnson says he was diagnosed with is autoimmune gastritis, a condition in which the immune system’s antibodies go rogue and start attacking stomach cells. It often manifests without noticeable symptoms, and can lead to cancer.
This is what internalized ableism does to people. You spend all your life believing that you can't become disabled because you spend so much money & time on your health, trying every possible treatment, supplement, product you can get your hands on — and in the end, the stress from living like that is likely to actually contribute to you developing a disabling illness, and it will have all been for worse than nothing.
I don't think we should be taking this as a sign we shouldn't be trying to prevent illness. That doesn't seem reasonable to me. clown on bryan johnson all you want, he's rich. but you're gonna be hard pressed to convince me this is some sort of cosmic justice. preventing suffering = good
Preventative care in general is good, but also the odds are pretty good that Johnson really did do this to himself. He takes 100+ medications and supplements daily and travels abroad to get experimental gene therapy, he's basically setting himself up to be patient zero for some horrible complex multi-drug interaction that no one's ever had before.
Also none of what he's doing is "preventative care" except for the basic things everyone already knows are good for you like eating your fruits & vegetables, getting vaccinated, exercising and managing stress/working on your socio-emotional health (I doubt he's doing that last one though).
We don't need one dude doing it to figure out that something could potentially be good for us. We have actual medical science. It's just that because rich assholes like him don't pay their taxes, it often lacks funding.
He's running only 1 experiment and that's a case study of one guy who tried every single thing and constructed a lifestyle for himself that seems pretty damn exhausting, stressful and joyless. The guy can't even take a shit or have sex without thinking about his biomarkers, and all of his data is useless because, well, he's doing everything at once, one thing after the other.
There's a huge difference between preventative care and a dude whose stated goal is immortality and eternal youth.
Preventative care is going for walks and getting as much sleep as you can and eating fiber. This guy is injecting himself with his son's blood because he thinks it'll make him look younger.
He ain't preventing shit; he's destroying himself by leaching off of everyone around him, and now he's seeing the consequences of his own actions. No cosmic justice needed.
Which is good because there's no such thing.
disabled ppl we need to start lying to nosy people okay? you tell me i'm too young to need a cane and i will tell you point blank that maybe you should tell that to the guy who ran me over. you don't get an explanation of my health issues you get lies and depending on how much of an asshole i want to be that lie will be anything from a humble car crash to a 1 billion lions attack. mind yr business.
"i could never live like that" well maybe you'll have to because this happened overnight. yeah you heard me i was the most able bodied man in the world but then one morning bam i woke up disabled. yeah you could have that too. there's no cure either you'll just wake up one morning and now you have to live like me
"what happened" well have you ever seen looney tunes? yeah an anvil landed on me and squished me flat.
