Just got back from watching Xonara reaction vids especially from my fave industry pros Waleska and Efra Herrera. I would say that Efra's critiques are very fair and I appreciate that he's approaching Xonara as a fellow professional artist.

But at the same time it's very sad to see that the people most sensitive to critique on an artist's capabilities are the fans lmao.

Being in the professional industry is very cutthroat. I don't think he can afford to coddle the girls as if they're learning in a safe place like a university. The girls HAVE to improve or else they will flop. End of story.

On a side note, Xonara is so fucking adorable man. They definitely have charisma in spades.

it was past midnight and i was on call with my friend, everything was perfectly quiet, when out of the blue he asks me who the voice is who's speaking behind me. we checked our tabs and headphones to make sure it wasn't a video or something, and he reported it was still there even after unplugging and closing everything

naturally this gripped me with fear. but i like to believe i don't believe in ghosts to just enough of an extent that they can't actually hurt me, which makes logical sense. playfully opening up the possibility that it may be a spirit, i told him no one was there and asked what the voice sounded like

"it's droning," he said. "it has an american accent. sounds like a boring white guy in an office"

this caught me off guard. in an act of fatal recklessness i let out a fucking cackle, and the moment it happened, i felt a pressure on my chest that caused it to ache. now i've heard enough ghost stories to know this is the part where the offended ghost chokes you to death, but at that point i was too hung up on it being some white dude to help myself. i guess eventually it figured out it couldn't strangle respect out of me and left me alone. i'm glad that was the only time a ghost ever fucked with me

In junior high I once had this teacher that allegedly had a third eye. This happened during a night where I think my class had to stay late at school because our school was really fond of making entire classes dance to participate in competitions so everyone was staying after classes to practice.

So everyone was staying in the classroom just chilling and around 6 pm our teacher suddenly told us to stay silent and file out quietly and in small numbers because she could see a ghost in the corner of the classroom.

So anyway, ghost occurrences actually happened in my school semi-frequently so everyone shut up and did as we were told.

And then we went home safe and sound yay

Last year, I befriended a Catholic seminarian. We've gotten to be pretty decent friends. Seeing as he was staying in town for the summer and I wasn't, I entrusted him with caring for my plant.

He did a wonderful job, but as he was returning my plant to my custody, he explained "I watered her every other day, I gave her new dirt, moved her into the sunshine, prayed the rosary-"

"What?"

He looked at me, confused. "Isn't she a plant you pray with?"

"No," I said slowly. "She's a prayer plant. That's the... colloquial name of the plant."

Upon seeing his stricken face, I realized something went wrong. Turns out, this entire time, he's been including my plant in on his prayers and leaving her near icons.

Listen, totally cool. My plant becoming Catholic is a great deal for her not dying over the summer. But now I must navigate this interfaith household. Keep me in your thoughts.

The funniest thing about trying to give DC and Marvel comics solid worldbuilding in future iterations is that more often than not, not a single thought was given in making anything make real sense. Because superhero comics always tend to function off of the rule of cool more than anything else.

Future iterations often just have to come up with convoluted reasons to justify what is a very clear case of *insert biases* from previous writers and artists lmao

Like no, I don't know why Genosha and Krakoa are called that when it just obviously sounds like a name a white writer spit out of random consonants just to sound exotic.

Also Savage Land is uhhhh... very interesting.

Things like these I think kind of tap into the Western world's fascination with the foreign and more often than not these fake countries and fake cultures are not really rooted in anything real except for Western perversions lol.

And yet, I have also found so many good people in the very same religion who treat me with openness and kindness. Even if I had offended them (haha... I was really lucky to be honest.)

So what? Just because the system is flawed, I should abandon art that makes people happy? That brings people joy? Even if it turns people into the worst versions of themself?

What? Are people not allowed to think and decide for themselves what they should or should not do?

Are people not allowed the freedom to interpret art as their minds see fit?

I understand that Hoyoverse is flawed, but it is flawed only because the world is flawed and because people are flawed.

There is nothing in this world without flaw, not even progression and revolution. And yet, these things persist because it is necessary.

Flawed art persists because a flawed person cannot create art that is absolutely flawless.
