A Recurring Dream
sketch -> final
I just finished developing an anti-ai art website, https://www.karbee.com, which is now in Beta. If it’s possible, I would like it if any artist or developer could critique it, or let me know if there’s any feature they like.
”Mouseville”
[Oh, My God!] Part 1 Comic, 25 pages
Note before reading:
The is an alternate universe where Chuck really is a human, and (by chance) was chosen as a prophet…but is also God, too, although he didn't find out until later. I felt like his season 4 act was very convincing, and although in later seasons he was confirmed to be God, I figured: but what if he was actually human earlier? And so this comic came about.
I stick to characterizations up to season 5. So any SPN plot points or lore after season 5 is entirely disregarded. And I added some other non SPN canon ideas, such as Trinitarianism.

US Army Ranger
“Second Time’s the Charm, John Winchester”
I've got a whole essay basically written out…so buckle up.
I do believe that if John had a second chance, that he'd do things a lot differently. After all, this is one of the things he's said, straight up:
"This isn't the life I wanted for you […] You gotta understand something. After your mother passed … all I saw was evil, everywhere. And all I cared about was keeping you boys alive. I wanted you … prepared. Ready. Except somewhere along the line, I … I stopped being your father and I became your drill sergeant. So when you said you wanted to go away to school, all I could think about was, my only thought was that you were gonna be alone. Vulnerable. Sammy, it just … never occurred to me what you wanted. I just couldn't accept the fact that you and I were just different."
And:
"You know, when you were a kid, I'd come home from a hunt, and after what I'd seen, I'd be, I'd be wrecked. And you, you'd come up to me and you, you'd put your hand on my shoulder and you'd look me in the eye and you'd… You'd say "It's okay, Dad". […] You shouldn't have had to say that to me, I should have been saying that to you. You know, I put, I put too much on your shoulders, I made you grow up too fast. You took care of Sammy, you took care of me. You did that, and you didn't complain, not once. I just want you to know that I am so proud of you."
He wasn’t the best parent by any means, but I do think he recognizes what went wrong, and would change that if he had the chance. And I do think he wanted to at least raise at least one son without hunting, like he did with Adam Milligan.
I also think that while John did do his hunting business mostly guided by revenge, he did actually want to save people, based off this quote by Dean:
"This book. This is Dad's single most valuable possession—everything he knows about every evil thing is in here. And he's passed it on to us. I think he wants us to pick up where he left off. You know, saving people, hunting things. The family business."
Obviously much less than Sam and Dean do, and killing Azazel always came first and was his primary goal, but I think he’d sort of be like Dean a little in that he wouldn’t in good conscience leave the people he saved from before to die. I have a few ideas for a part two, which adds more onto this
I am also very aware that Sam and Dean are by no means, soft. But I am writing from John's perspective. And I think while he would understand that they wouldn't want to kill him, he'd still feel at the very least somewhat resentful of the fact that Azazel could’ve been killed much earlier had Sam not hesitated, and John didn't seem like he would've cared if he died either way…so while he'd be proud of them as hunters, he'd still think they're not quite as tough as they should be.
As for the part 2 I might write/draw, I haven't actually seen past season 5, so maybe my characterization is wrong. I'm not even sure if I'll see past 5 because from what I've heard, the show should've ended there (so it would be a decent place to stop), and the quality goes downhill…also I took a look at the spoilers so I know generally what happens, and I wasn't really impressed with some of the plots. Like with Chuck.
BUT if I do decide to go past 5, I would like to draw a part 2 to this comic. Because it involves a time traveling Sam and Dean as well.
Here's what I'd like to include in case I don’t get the chance to draw it: -young teen Dean asks John to hire a clown for Sam's birthday because "Sammy loves clowns", like the asshole sibling he is. Cue Sam horrified when a clown comes because John agreed -The clown is some aspiring magician actually who does a couple card tricks which impresses Sam more than the animal balloons -At some point, both Sam and Dean gain memories of their selves from season 15, and are basically like what the fuck -They become hunters either way. John is confused with the 180 -Missouri is a much more prominant part of their lives. I heard she was supposed to be the "Bobby" of season 1, and I liked her character. -John manages to get his journal published because he actually takes the publishers out on a hunt to convince them. Surprisingly, they actually gave him the benefit of the doubt -It'd be funny if one of them is like "I always thought the Mothman was real!" And John's like "about that…" -He goes under a pseudonym of WC, which means Winchester-Campbell. The other hunters call him the prophet (lol), because he warns some of them ahead of time some things that happen in the future…such as Bobby's wife getting killed -During school breaks John still takes Dean and Sam hunting. And he hunts around Kansas. But he doesn't move around anymore. -Also his main job is being a mechanic with Mike Guenther -John does reveal to Sam earlier on that he has demon blood, but tells him that there's people w/out demon blood who do far worse things…so it doesn't change anything about him. Missouri helps Sam with his psychicness
-John only hunts outside of Kansas, outside of school breaks, for special cases. One of them is to meet Bobby for the first time again, because Bobby is awesome. Another is for Pastor Jim. -John constantly gets calls (with a throwaway phone number in a billboard in the roadhouse) because he's got hunters looking for his knowledge and expertise from all over the place. So he's still kind of a legend. -Bobby visits whenever he can. Also they visit him. -John still trains Sam and Dean, because either way they need to be prepared. -Future Dean and Sam do tell him about what happens later on. Also about heaven meddling with him and Mary's relationship. -Also about the destiny and plot armor stuff. And angels vessel stuff. -Rip my guy Adam Milligan because I don't think he'd exist in this alternate universe. -I don't know what happens next, to be honest. I just have vague ideas my brain THINKS sounds good
I also have two other comic ideas, one that's longer which involves Chuck and Lucifer (as well as a part two to THAT comic with Chuck and Michael + Lucifer), as well as an Assassin's Creed one with Claudia and Ezio. Lots of family stuff. Perhaps.
