many friendships start falling apart once college starts, speaking in terms of most friends going there seperate ways to different schools since that’s just the reality of it. whether orihime went to college part time while working at the bakery, or just solely didn’t go to college at all so she can be working full time, her and ichigo probably didn’t have much time to hang out with each other. in we do knot always love you, there was a chapter where everyone met at Ichigo’s house on the weekend because that’s when they were all likely free (whether it’s canon or not i don’t really know or care). But truth is, I bet all weekends aren’t like that at all for them. maybe homework or work just gets in the way which tends to happen. But can you just imagine ichigo struggling to finish all of his homework so he can make time to see his friends once a week?? cause obviously these bitches still care about each other and want to hold on as long as possible, and I’m talking the whole gang here at this point, not just ichigo and orihime. their bond with each other is so precious to me. almost half of my friends and I don’t keep in touch all that often bc of college, and even though this is just a show, it genuinely makes me happy that this group stayed close with each other. close enough to where Ichigo’s love for orihime never faded during countless days of not seeing each other bc of school and work……. think about it YALL
