do the fair folk only break devices like laptops when they touch them or would something like say a rlly old phone break? what about electronic toys, video games ect? is the microwave going to start eatig the food you put in if the thing that replaced my roommate tries to make ramen?

Anything requiring electricity to work starts to fry when touched by the Gentry. The more complicated the device is, the more immediate and unsettling the distortion becomes.

I walked through an empty hall. My purse is now full of calico kittens. Do i try to return them? Raise them as my own? help.

You could certainly try raising them, but a whole litter can be a daunting task! They’re cute as kittens, but keep an eye out for when the vestigial fifth eye seals over - it means that they’re going to be fully venomous soon, and you should take a little more care when playing with them.

If they have spikes or spines, I highly recommend stocking up on those little silicon claw covers! They work everywhere on a cat.

there’s a story in aesop’s fables, i think it is, about a human talking to a satyr or something. The satyr asks why the human is blowing on his hands during a snow storm and he says “to warm up” later inside the satyr asks the human why he’s blowing on the soup and the human says “to cool it down”

What messes up mortals the way Iron messes up Good Neighbors? Radium, suckers. The stuff we make lights out of? It melts their faces clean off*. I have seen the pictures and it is gruesome. They say that it is radioactive and that years from now it will cause them cancer, a mortal wasting disease. They can kill us fast with cold iron, but we can kill them slow with radioactivity.

*Remember this when entertaining mortals whose health you care about.

Sometime late in the night, in the year where there was only night, unknown to all of you, it became what it is..

The Fae can stand no inconsistencies, no imperfections… It makes their magic wane and lose power, imperfections belong to humanity.

So, in the year of all night, when humanity had no sight, pointed ears and coloured skin scampered around the world, clawing, moving Earth..

It was no coincidence that fire fell and men died that year, no coincidence that burnt herbs and odd people kept you safe. No coincidence that the three people who went to the forest at the end of the year were never seen again though the misfortune seemed to end. The Fae are not unreasonable after all…

I cannot tell you more, I risk my life and the blue blood in my veins.. Know this, that imperfection, that allusion of safety, is gone. The Earth IS a perfect sphere.

So, I have a friend at my high school who has a dog that has eaten a lightbulb, a glass bowl, a game controller, and a DS and is perfectly healthy. The "dog" has also tried to eat through a wooden door. My friend lives in Southside VA(as do I) and I was wondering if maybe someone on this blog might know what it actually is? Because I don't know much about fey and other things of the like but I do know that my friend's "dog" is not a normal canine.
