Hey Austin people!! Thanks for welcoming this lil’ New Yorkina into your space! I met so many incredible people and creators at the Lone Star Zine Fest this past Sunday, thank you so much for checking out my work! I was pretty nervous at first considering I didn’t know anyone quite well but that southern hospitality is no joke! My name is Kat Fajardo and I’m a comic artist/ illustrator/ cartoonist from NYC now living in Austin, TX. I mostly make autobio comics & fun illustrations about monsters, nerdy stuff, and Latinx culture. At the moment I’m working on a graphic novel for Scholastic Graphix called “Miss Quinces” which is about a nerdy tomboy who is forced to celebrate her quinceañera (a semi-auto bio work based on my own quince shenanigans).
