I’m sure most of you have seen the original post about this. In short, 

Rose entered and endured training/testing to become a finalist in this contest. If she wins, she’ll be flown from Malaysia to Florida to go to space camp.

Sexist jerks said awful things about her in the comments and told people to vote against her.

It’s almost like the character makes a difference. It’s almost like Bella Swan is a terribly written and completely flat character and no actress could have believably put emotion into her portrayal with the lines and motivations they were given. It’s almost like when she’s given a decent character she can give a great performance. IT’S ALMOST LIKE SHE’S AN ACTRESS.

I actually think this was one of my favorite and most powerful scenes in the show. Kate Mulgrew expertly portrayed the hurt we’ve all felt at one point or another when we were ostracized by people we wanted so desperately to be accepted by and the fact that this feeling knows no boundaries of age.
