One of my favourite things when reading fanfiction is when you click with an author's style so much that you adore the fanfiction you're reading, and once it's over you need more. So you go to their page and hope that there's more for any fandom you might know- only there isn't any. They've written for other fandoms you aren't familiar with and never would've thought about before.

But you're down so bad for their style and talent that they got you wading in like:

Wow seeing the actual video just….. it almost made me cry. He’s so on point about Sansa and Sophie. Sophie’s performance as Sansa is so underrated from an acting standpoint. She’s been given really meaty and emotional material from the very beginning and she’s delivered every time and has really made you feel and care about Sansa.

I think so much of online fandom discourse would be better if we could all agree the distinction between Morals and Ethics, and what constitutes each.

Morals: A personal or individual code of right and wrong.

Ethics: A code of right and wrong as defined by a specific community or society.

Further, we all need to accept that neither define who is or is not a "good" person.

We must also recognize that in interacting with any piece of media we are projecting our own morals onto and against the characters and society within.

Is a character really "immoral" or do they just have different morals than you?

How can you call someone "morally grey" if you wouldn't recognize dark morals if you saw them?

Is that character truly moral or are they devoid of morals but blindly obedient to ethics?
