Setting Sons of Carmelard

Forward:

Data, Lore and B4 were conceived by a sorcerer living in seclusion with his wife in a remote but peaceful settlement within the kingdom of Carmelard. The brothers are raised in modest surroundings even though their father Noonien is rich. A terrible catastrophe tears the family apart and in the aftermath each son forges their own fate.

Now a lone hermit, Noonien observes the progress of his charges' lives through his own telekinetic abilities...

Noonien's Three Sons

The eldest is Bedevere, known as "before" or "B4" because he was the first child conceived and has no apparent magical abilities. He is mild mannered and reticent but faultlessly honorable and has a pure heart. He attains his status through diligence and staunch commitment to his goals. Making sacrifices , shunning greed and violence.

Lore or Lorence, the middle son is the first Noonien imbued with mystical and superhuman powers. At first he is admired and praised for his talents - he is a promising student, one who could excel at both arcane and earthly abilities. He is gifted with razor sharp intelligence and bravery on the battlefield. However his misplaced pride and arrogance ruin a promising future.

Dayton/Data is the youngest. A model student, he quickly becomes the king's most trusted soldier and is knighted at a young age, Data acquires the accolades and wealth Noonien hoped for him and exceeds his expectations. Equitable, just, kind and courageous, Data is a respected nobleman with his own castle and an abundance of land. Although his father would never admit it Data is Noonien's favourite son.

LISTEN. I put this movie on thinking it would be a fun, cozy Friday‑night watch but NOPE. Instead Brent Spiner’s FACE showed up like a divine omen, knocked the wind out of me, and immediately demanded tax.

And those EYES. THOSE. EYES. swoon I swear to the GODS they have their own gravitational field. I had to pause and relearn how to breathe because what do you even DO when someone looks like that on screen.

And don’t even get me started on his stupidly beautiful, softly‑lit, cowboy‑hat‑framed FACE — the one that looks like it was carved by Grecian deities specifically to destroy the female population using nothing but a weaponized profile and a Cupid’s dart. WHEW. Had me pacing my apartment like a Victorian aunt who just witnessed a scandal, fan and ALL.

Meanwhile the academic part of my brain is filing a formal complaint because there is no universe in which I was prepared for 1986 Brent Spiner to be this beautiful. Frankly, rude. sobs I curse the timing of my birth being AFTER this era of Brent. “Father, I love him.”

Happy Birthday, Data! I made this small tribute for him. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with trying to put together a Data-inspired playlist, and I caught myself watching edits of him with 'Smooth Operator' in the background. And honestly? He really is a smooth operator. 😭😮‍💨
