Hey! Every website/service ever, can you not change the UI / logo, I like the last one >:(
Historians are going to look back at us and think we're morons lmao (assuming this species survives for that long).
"wait, so they vilified easily treatable health issues like addiction?"
"no way they thought fining, harassing, and making life miserable for the homeless would work right?"
"you're telling me people regularly signed electronic documents with companies without consulting a lawyer OR reading?! Jesus"
"who's that?"
And so on
"They wore clothes made of plastic?"
(God, modern "fashion" as a whole pisses me off so much. The styles are debatable at best and synthetic fabric is the fucking worst. Damn the dress reformers, damn the Great War, and I hope whoever invented polyester is burning in the worst circle of hell.)
"So you're telling me that their governments wasted valuable legislative time arguing about public toilets, amateur and child sports, and how to get away with looking at kids' genitals?"
(There is nothing on this planet that makes less sense to me than transphobia. At least bad twentieth and twenty-first century fashion and the terrible materials clothes are made of today is understandable on some level, capitalism's gonna capitalism. But transphobia? It wastes a crap ton of resources, while *not* being transphobic is easy as fuck and costs literally nothing. I literally cannot understand why, besides deliberate sadism and cruelty for absolutely no reason except making people suffer, and it all seems so stupid, silly, pointless, and wasteful on top of the obvious harm.)

Wolves will try to get your entire head in their mouth to give you kisses. When they aren't trying to get their entire snout inside *your* mouth.
I'm not actually sure who gives the best kisses, cats or wolves. Wolves will literally suck face, but cats have those sandpaper tongues and way less slobber...
the idea that every summer will be as hot if not hotter than this for the rest of my life is unbearable i need to (remembers suicide jokes are bad for my mental health) murder an oil executive

Outlander, for sure, and the funny thing is I don't even know why I like those damn books. Yeah, I have a thing for fashion history so historical fiction that wastes pages of prose on the characters' outfits can be fun (or really infuriating, the amount of DNFs I have over too frustratingly wrong clothing descriptions to push past...), but 18th century isn't really my period and Outlander doesn't do that so much as... states of *undress*... so, well. And I don't even like straight romance, or guys, but Jamie makes me jealous of Claire and Claire makes me jealous of Jamie. I guess it's just really good historical fiction and the main characters happen to be a really steamy couple.

my blog is, and always will be, a safe place for people who are not confident in their english speaking abilities. you will never be judged or mocked here.
1) Your English is probably better than you think it is. Iāve read many posts that ended with something along the lines of āsorry for my bad Englishā and was surprised because it was worded exactly the way a native English speaker would word it.
2) The main purpose of language is to communicate. Even if communication is a little awkward, as long as we can understand what the other person is trying to say, thereās no need for it to be perfect.
3) You speak English better than I can speak your language.
4) You speak English better than I can speak English .
5) Being able to speak a second language at all is a huge achievement and something most of the people ragging on ābad Englishā are incapable of themselves. Youāre doing great.
6) ābad Englishā suggests thereās such a thing as āgood Englishāā¦.and have you SEEN this language? We just live like this.
Fuck. This. Noise.

Free service with ads: Well, if I'm not paying for it they have to foot the bill somehow.
Paid service with no ads: Well, if they're not funding it with ad revenue, they need to charge us something.
Paid service with ads: Well that's bullshit.
"We used to be a paid service without ads, but now we're putting ads in it! If you want the ad-free version you have to pay more for preeeeemium": Fuck you fuck you fuck you
having free control over our endrocrine systems and the ability to change our genitals is currently inextricably tied to trans rights, and for good reason, but frankly i don't think it even needs to be. it should just be a matter of bodily autonomy, and that should be universal. if a cis dude wants tits and a pussy i think that would be fine. if cis women want a dick or nothing at all that should be allowed i think. people shouldn't need to be transgender to be allowed to change their bodies. free the nipple, enlarge the nipple, remove the nipple. whatever the fuck you want. i dont know if there's a term for this belief but i hold it very strongly. everybody biohack yourselves NOW
Hey. If people aren't aware, Microsoft admitted they know who you and where you are at all times and will give your info to the police.
They have a Global Device Identifier (GDID) Tracker that functions as a fingerprint for your PC that can surpass VPNs, proxy servers and countries. Although it can't survive a clean reinstall of Windows (it can survive updates), because Microsoft forces you to go to the internet and log in into a Microsoft account, they will be able to get to you.
Microsoft kept it secret and it was only found out when the FBI tracked a hacker thanks to the information Microsoft gave them.
You should be paying attention to this, and possibly consider moving away from Windows. If a government, especially the US government, doesn't like you for some reason, this could be seriously concerning.
This article specifically notes:
For journalism, activism, or domestic abuse situations, skip Windows and use Linux routed through Tor instead of a commercial VPN. A GDID doesnāt care which VPN you use, only that itās still the same Windows installation.
GDID is the persistent Windows ID that helped FBI trace a Scattered Spider hacker despite VPNs. Here's how it works and how to limit it.
Other important quotes:
What has researchers uneasy is everything else the case reveals. Costin Raiu, a well-known malware researcher, asked on the Three Buddy Problem podcast how much of this exists on other platforms, and whether it is linked more permanently to hardware. Matthew Hickey, another security researcher, called Windows āsurveillance softwareā.
Two things back that up:
Thereās no consent screen. A GDID gets assigned when you sign into a Microsoft Account. Appleās advertising identifier needs an App Tracking Transparency prompt and a visible reset; Androidās works the same way. GDID has neither, and a Windows reinstall only gets you a new number Microsoft can still get back to the same account.
Then thereās activation. Massgrave, the group behind Microsoft Activation Scripts, notes that Windows setup sends hardware info to Microsoft and gets identifiers back, the same tokens later used for Store access and licensing: āItās impossible to prevent Windows from getting a GDID without breaking activation and UWP app[s].ā Anyone who lost a license after swapping a motherboard has already met a smaller version of this.
