Hello and welcome! I'm Katy (they/them). Author of the (upcoming) Black Heart Tribunal Series. Fantasy adventure author by night (and occasionally on the clock at my day job), 9-5 office worker by day.

This Tumblr will be home to updates and musings and all things related to my upcoming novels, my in-progress novels, and anything else I happen to be writing.

I love answering questions, so please send asks!

Had a fantastic time at the torontodarkartsmarket Book-ish Market today!! So many cool artists and vendors. Really appreciated the chance to talk to other writers in other genres (shout out Malcolm Derickx for chatting to me and @call.me.miss.maker for ages about their comics). Also loved the opportunity to chat with other vendors about their crafts and how we can work together (shout out Maha at @stormboundbooks ).

@call.me.miss.maker and I were restrained today and only got a small (for us) haul. As you can see, it has been inspected and approved by the resident quality control officer, Maple.

All in all, a great time!

I have talked big game in here about rewriting and publishing my Black Heart Tribunal Series. But! We are almost at the stage where that is actually happening!

The series is being released in 3 novels and a prequel novella. The prequel novella is being released July 20, 2026. Book 1 is being released August 10, 2026. and since fandom was where the Black Heart Tribunal started, I'm giving fandom spaces the first opportunity to sign up for early access and be ARC readers.
