What if Cas was scared of the dark after being in the empty.
What if he struggled through it and didn't tell anyone. Not even Dean.
Then Jack went to the empty, and when he came back he was scared of the dark as well.
What if Jack then told Cas, and Cas did everything he could so Jack was never in the dark again.

It has been a week, Dean still has not showed up. Sam asked me to find him. I searched the earth. I could not find him. I found his vehicle….it was destroyed. I restored it and brought it back to Sam. I explained everything. Sam was furious, he took the Impala and drove off. That was two days ago. The hunt we were on is still an issue, but I have no leads. I am not sure how to find what is doing this. I am more worried about Dean. I plan to leave here tomorrow. First I will need to rest. My Grace is Depleted. I pray to anything out there that Dean is safe. I can think of nothing but him.
Castiel’s diary hunters journal entry 6:
This is our fourth day in Alaska. Sam thinks he found a lead on what has been killing the children. He finally agreed to call in his brother. We are going after the creature as soon as Dean gets here. Dean is driving here. I hope he arrives soon.

Sam has been researching for days. We have consulted together each night. Even our combined research and knowledge has brought no leads. The victims are children. Dean would be able to help. I think we should get Dean to come.

Sam asked for my help on a case. I do not know why he needs me. I had planned to meet up with Dean today. We were going to wash Baby. Dean would have been able to help on this case. Sam says it should only be a couple days. He continues to look for clues and evidence as for what has been killing people.
I just feel like Gabriel would make flower crowns from exotic flowers and give them to Sam or Jack or maybe Dean when he's in a "I want to escape death" mood
Support system Gabriel for the win. He could have been so great. But the writers have less backbone than a wet towel and nerfed him to death TWICE. The cowards robbed us.

Anyway, here's idea since I recently watched episode 1 of season 1...
What if John Winchester was actually afraid of Constance, the woman in white? He has dedicated the rest of his life and his two sons lives to finding and killing Azazel, right? So what if, ever since he bore another son with Kate Milligan he has always felt guilty for "betraying" Mary? Constance, being a vengeful spirit who kills unfaithful men, can sense this guilt and targets him while he is on the bride she jumped from.
This is where the message Dean has from John comes in. When Dean shows this message to Sam, he slows down the message and we hear Constance's voice. Why is her voice there?
John recorded that message while she was in the car with him. He rushes back to his motel room and tries to hide. Salt, cats-eye shells, other protection and warding charms. John was afraid of Constance.
Though, I could be blowing this while thing out of proportion and his message could have been him alluding to the Apocalypse and the release of Lucifer or whatever. But I genuinely believe that John Winchester feared Constance because he was unfaithful to Mary.
And this kids is one of many reasons I despise John Winchester

We found the demon. He was leading a cult. Dean infiltrated. He was very efficient. I hope to be as competent a hunter as him one day. He took down the demon and burned the corps. The cultists were mad. He talked them down also. He was educational to watch. Sam helped also.

Dean and I went to get ‘burgers from the dinner near where we are staying. They were good. Dean bought me two. We are hunting a demon right now. Dean says its a ‘sonnovabitch’. Sam says it’s a lower level demon. Dean has been pacing the room. He looks tense. I have tried reasoning with him. He says we need to find it before more people die. I am worried about the hunt.

one of my favorite things about the winchesters is how fucking weird they all are. like they have their own language that’s 99% pop culture references and weird idioms. they’ll talk more casually about killing someone than about a movie they like. they have an arsenal in the trunk and anti-possession tattoos and they have like a hundred words for ‘kill’. remember when kevin met them and legit couldn’t understand what the fuck dean was saying? i love those moments when we see sam and dean from normal people’s perspective because we as a public end up forgetting how fucking weird they are. cas and jack basing their knowledge of how normal humans behave on these two only made them even more weird. they’re a weird little deranged family and i love them so much
Imagine if Jimmy didn’t die, and he was instead somehow trapped in his own body, with Cas also unable to leave, forcing them both to be vessel-mates for as long as the body exists. Jimmy ends up becoming like a narrator, or Cas’s inner voice.
Like your just watching the show and Sam does something stupid:
Jimmy “oh my goodness your all idiots, this is why U keep dying!”
Dean staring at Cas:
Jimmy “as the original operator of this face, I feel uncomfortable”
Cas flounders in a social interaction:
Jimmy “dude chill, just ask them how their sandwiches are, or if their having a good day. Don’t tell them their darkest secret, that’s not how you make friends!”
Clair says something self deprecating:
Cas “Jimmy will ALWAYS love you, regardless of what you chose or what you do”
Clair “your just saying that, you don’t know anything!!!”
Cas “no trust me I do, he won’t SHUT UP about how much he loves you, please just accept it, I’m losing my mind”
(But obviously Cas secretly loves it and wishes his Dad was more like Jimmy, which of course triggers Jimmys Dad instincts, and suddenly Jimmy finds himself fathering a millennia old celestial wavelength that is controlling his body)
Luci using Cas’ Vessel “PLEASE SHUT UP”
Jimmy on his tenth Dad Joke in as many seconds “oh, don’t get your feathers ruffled!” *he proceeds to laugh at himself*
Lucifer in TEARS “ want out , whyyy meeee!!!!”
But like Cas and the viewers r the only ones who hear him, and sometimes Cas responds to him out loud and Dean thinks he’s going crazy for a bit.

Dean said I should start my own hunting journal to keep record in case I encounter anything unusual. So future hunters may have a better chance of saving people. So here is what happened today.
We went after a spirit today. Dean fought it while Sam recited a ritual. Dean fought bravely and was glo sweaty by the end of the fight. It’s a good thing he is so mus fit. He was able to keep me it distracted for so long. He is a very han capable warrior.
After the hunt Sam was yelling at me for not helping enough. Dean said I did well. I am not talking to Sam right now.
