NEW VIDEO! The Strange Location of Your Second Brain… The trillions of bacteria in your gut have more of a relationship with your brain than you may realise.
My recommendation? Just go with your gut and watch this cool video about the brain in your belly.

Imagine that the next time you go in for a physical, you’re told there’s a new tool that can estimate your risk for many of the major health problems that affect Americans: heart disease, diabetes, depression, addiction, just to name a few.
It’s not a crystal ball, but might hint at your vulnerability to disease and mental illness — long before you start smoking or drinking, gain a lot of weight, develop high blood pressure or actually get sick.
Proponents of the "adverse childhood experiences" (ACE) test, a set of 10 questions, believe that the test is this tool. But your ACE score is not used in routine physical exams, and some doctors believe that one reason is personal discomfort on the part of physicians.

Earth A New Wild: Water
"Both humans and wildlife depend on water for survival. This episode explores how a misuse of water can lead to unparalleled destruction; however, sharing our water with wildlife does not only benefit the wild, it may also be a crucial step in our own survival.
In Africa, big wildlife including elephants only survive because of the wells that humans dig to bring water to the surface in a parched land. And the Samburu who dig the wells need the wildlife—especially the elephants—to help keep their pastures open for grazing. As an added delight, the Samburu warriors sing to their cattle, and the cows recognize their owner’s song, and only drink at his well.”

The 20th century, three hundred years from now, is not going to be remembered for its wars or its technological innovations, but rather as the era in which we stood by, and either actively endorsed or passively accepted the massive destruction of both biological diversity and cultural diversity on the planet. The problem isn't change. All cultures throughout time have constantly engaged in a dance with new possibilities of life. And the problem is not technology itself. The Sioux Indians did not stop being Sioux when they gave up the bow and arrow any more than Americans stopped being American when they gave up the horse and buggy. It's not change or technology that threatens the integrity of the ethnosphere... It is power; The crude face of domination. And whenever you look around the world, you discover that these are not cultures destined to fade away. These are dynamic, living peoples being driven out of existence by a identifiable forces that are beyond their capacity to adapt to.
