ray did a double take, eyes wide as he shook his head to process what she actually said versus what he heard. as she placed the bag down, he leaned against the counter with both hands, looking down at her with a bright smile. “hi,” he said with a little chuckle. “love you, too,” he said, bending to give her a quick little kiss before peeking into the bag. 

“want me to put this stuff away? also, i definitely thought you said you did get into a fist fight over a holly branch. glad to hear it was avoided,” he laughed again.

    she  smiles  against  his  lips  when  he  kisses  her.  god,  she  loves  him  so.

    “ most  of  it  is going  into  jars,  so  if  you  think  you  can  handle  a  restock  of  spell  ingredients,  knock  yourself  out, “  she  chuckles  at  his  other  comment, “  and  if  i  had  gotten  into  a  fist  fight,  you’d  need  bail  money.  spenglers  don’t  start  fights,  but  we  do  finish  them. “

    she  pauses.

    “ aside  from  that  one  time  with  peck,  but  he  started  the  apocalypse.  bitch  had  it  coming. “

‘  what  can  i  say?  i’m  committed.  ’  peter  answered  the  question  as  though  he’d  torn  his  flightsuit  in  some  impressive,  warrior-esque  fight  against  a  spirit.  he  believed  it  so  much,  it  almost  surpassed  imagination  and  entered  reality.

truthfully,  peter  had  been  taunting  the  ghost  and  was  centimetres  from  being  hit  by  a  flying  shelf  until  ray  yanked  him  back  with  one  great  swoop.  his  strength  had  ripped  through  elsa’s  carefully  stitched  seams.  but  peter  venkman  wouldn’t  admit  that.

    she  quirks  a  brow.  bullshit.

    “ that’s  all  well  and  good,  but  if  there’s  a  design  flaw  in  my  stitching,  i  need  to  know.  did  it  catch  on  something? “  she  lets  out  a  frustrated  sigh, “ no,  that  couldn’t  be  it. “

    now  she’s  pacing,  holding  her  chin  with  her  thumb  and  index  finger  --  a  very  spengler  moment  --  and  muttering  to  herself  about  words  and  exact  phrasing.

    “ the  enchantment  should  prevent  any  harm  from  tearing  through  the  suits.  that’s  my  exact  wording  and  intention.  nothing  --  spirit  or  otherwise  --  should  be  able  to  break  my  stitching.  if  i  missed  something  and  you  boys  are  in  danger  because  my  spell  is  screwed  up... “  she  trails  off,  continuing  her  muttering  as  if  talking  so  much  would  make  the  solution  suddenly  come  to  her.
