Because Voldemort is paranoid and obsessed with his followers’ loyalty, it makes sense that he would feel jealous of Bellatrix’s loyalty to her family, as demonstrated in The Dark Lord Ascending, in which he does not like that Bellatrix defends the Malfoys. It is also quite clear to me that Bellatrix constantly reassures him of her loyalty to him through her words and deeds, showing absolute respect and devotion (to her manner of speaking that is the most refined and respectful in his presence), much more than any other Death Eater, because she is well aware of his fears and insecurities. Her unwavering deference and her willingness to be near him, to touch him, to comfort him is really her saying, “I’ve got you baby, you’re the best.” She constantly validates him. She gives him what he needs, even if he doesn’t know what he needs himself. Anyone who thinks Voldemort doesn’t like the attention, the devotion, the obsession, the worship, doesn’t understand Voldemort very well, I’m afraid. Not only does he like it, he needs it. And Bellatrix knows.
