I refuse to let anybody dim my Are You Sure?! light. I have enjoyed every single moment of this show. I have watched episodes more times than I can count.
I don’t expect anything from these two except that they just enjoy these precious moments together. I am so grateful that I get a window in even though I understand it is only a window. I am perfectly fine with that. I am grateful for anything they’re willing to share.
I refuse to pick them apart and use anything to decide if they are or are not anything. I enjoy these moments in history with them. I just feel so grateful to have found all of BTS. They are such an enrichment and an uplifting force in my life.
I love the dynamics of Jimin and Jungkook. Although I feel in my lover’s heart of hearts that they are the couple I think they are, I don’t need to focus on that all the time. Most of the time I just want to enjoy watching them and experiencing these moments at the same time in history as they do.
I will be so very excited to see them all back together again and at the prospect of a world tour because you better bet I will bust my ass to get there. Whatever I have to do.
But in the meantime, I keep myself away from all the negativity. I refuse to hate any of them, I recognize their humanity and know they make mistakes. No one is perfect all of the time and expecting them to be so is unfair to them and can end up being such a stress and strain on a fan if they expect to see that. Where is the Fun in that for anyone?
In the end, I am so grateful that they chose to do this and to take time for these precious moments with each other and yes, even with Tae.. because in the long run, they said that their trip to Jeju was made better with his inclusion. And I believe what they say.. not to say that I don’t sometimes think I see what they don’t say lol. His inclusion most certainly did not cheapen their beloved moments with each other. Seeing them all three get to enjoy each other before military service was lovely.
It is my fondest wish in this huge, potentially majestic fandom that everybody quit worrying about what they want to happen and just sit back with this lovely window into this world of these amazing men…all of them and just enjoy it. They are all a gift.. they have given me so much joy and such a lift up in my stressful life. We always need to remember that we should be a gift right back.
Squabbling over who is with who and who isn’t… Demeaning bonds, and friendships and possible partnerships.. attacking members shows such a lack of emotional intelligence, a lack of maturity and a lack of gratitude for what we have been given and for the sacrifices they make to give us the joy they bring..
I always ask myself what this group would be like without any one of them.. I DON’T EVEN WANT TO KNOW and I don’t see how anyone can call themselves ARMY if they want any one of them to leave. And I just want any of those people to remind themselves that if these seven had not meshed if they had not been chosen to form this extraordinary group… If they had not fought so hard to learn each other accept each other and get along, to choose each other as BTS over and over again.. you would not have that one member you want all to yourself.
I watched them hold each other up and keep each other going and I wonder why we can’t do the same as ARMY. We almost lost them.. but they chose to come together and stay together. Why can’t we? Even if we don’t agree about things, we truly don’t really know anything about. Why can’t we just agree to calmly disagree and keep going our merry lucky way… Just something to think about. 💜💜💜
I suppose a lot of us were far too naïve to think things would actually change once the members finished their military service. Maybe we were too optimistic, thinking the fandom would clean itself up, that the rubbish would finally be taken out, that whoever stayed behind would be the real fans, the ones who truly respected every single member of the group.
But unfortunately, that’s not what happened. Or at least, it’s not what happened when it comes to Jimin. Surprised? I’m not. Not entirely. But it still makes me sad. It hurts to see that nothing has really changed. In fact, it’s worse now. It’s gone beyond just being an online issue, where people can hide behind a screen and say whatever stupid thing they want. It’s starting to spill into real life. And that’s terrifying.
And you know what? I blame the so-called OT7 fans. They’re the ones responsible for this. They’re the ones who let it happen. They’re the ones who keep letting it happen. Because they never did anything. They still haven’t done anything. And until that changes, nothing else will.
Not when it comes to Jimin.
They still believe, or they just keep pretending, that this isn’t a serious issue. That the haters, the people who genuinely despise Jimin, are simply shippers being weird. And honestly, that’s absolute nonsense. The people who think like that, or worse, say those things out loud, are a huge part of the problem. They are the problem. Not the shippers, not even the haters entirely, but the so-called fans who sit there and do nothing while all this happens. The ones who’ve allowed this group of people to grow and take up so much space, to gain so much power within the fandom. The power they use for one thing only: hating Jimin. Because let’s be honest, they don’t use that power for anything else. Not to support their supposed faves, not to boost charts, not to do anything remotely positive. They only use it to tear someone down. And that someone is always Jimin. It’s pathetic. It’s disgusting. It’s infuriating to watch the same thing happen again and again. The same cycle is repeating itself endlessly.
Every single time there’s drama or negativity around one of the members, it always ends up being Jimin who gets dragged into it. Always. Especially when it’s about Jungkook or Taehyung. Every damn time. And we really need to talk about that. I’m not blaming Jungkook or Taehyung; they’ve got nothing to do with it, but I am blaming the people who claim to be their fans. Because the ones doing this are always the same people. They’re the ones who say they’re a fan of one of those two, or even worse, they call themselves fans of the ship involving them.
And you know what’s worse? Everyone sees it. Everyone knows it’s happening, but they act like it’s not real. Like it’s just shippers’ drama or people being dramatic online. No. It’s not. It’s bullying. It’s targeted hate. And it’s been going on for years. And the fact that people just watch it happen, say nothing, and even justify it, says everything about what this fandom has turned into.
This fandom is hypocritical. It’s dishonest. It’s rotten at the core. People talk about love and unity and supporting all seven, but when it comes down to it, they only care about some of the members, and even then, they only care about their own little delusions. Everything else is expendable to them. They don’t want peace; they want control. They want to decide who gets love and who gets hate.
You all claim to support all seven members, but you do absolutely nothing when it comes to defending Jimin. You don’t say a word on your socials, you don’t speak up, and it’s even worse when you’re running big fan accounts. If you have a large platform and you’re not calling out the treatment Jimin gets almost every single day from a group of people in this fandom, then you’re part of the problem. Staying silent is part of the problem. Not saying enough is part of the problem. If you stay quiet, you’re still part of it. Silence makes you complicit. Pretending it’s not your issue doesn’t absolve you. Not doing enough, not saying enough, not caring enough, all of it feeds the same cycle.
How is it even possible that between yesterday and today, I’ve already seen at least two big pro-Jimin and pro-Jikook accounts suspended on Twitter? Why? Because they were reporting that insane woman who literally went all the way to Korea just to spread hate at Jimin’s dad’s café. And I haven’t seen a single major BTS account - NONE - speaking up about it. Not one.
At least not on my timeline. Maybe they exist, and if they do, please send me the link, because I’ve seen nothing. Nothing. The only people I’ve seen talking about it are Jikookers and Jimin-focused fans, the ones who are actually doing something, reporting, speaking out, trying to stop this madness.
Meanwhile, the big BTS fan accounts, the ones who claim to protect the group, have stayed silent. Completely silent. And that says a lot. Actually, no, it doesn’t just say a lot. It says everything.
You know how so many fans love to guilt-trip others for not buying enough albums, not streaming enough, not watching music videos as much as they “should”? They act as if you don’t do all that, you’re a bad fan, a fake fan, someone who doesn’t really care. They treat being a fan like it’s a full-time job. Well, those same people should be the first ones to speak up, to complain, to call things out when one of the members they supposedly support is being treated horribly online. They should be the first to reject, to kick out the ones spreading hate in the fandom.
But they don’t. Oh sorry, correction, they don’t when it’s about Jimin.
When it’s about Jimin, suddenly you only read: it’s “just shippers,” or “it’s not that deep,” or “he’s not even online, he’s not seeing any of it.” When it’s about Jimin, it’s always “calm down,” “don’t overreact,” “don’t overanalyse.” When it’s about Jimin, it’s always “oh, but he’s such a good person, he’d understand if another member won this or got that.”
When it’s about Jimin, it’s always excuses. Always minimising. Always silence. When it’s about Jimin, people suddenly want to be peaceful, mature, quiet and rational. But when it’s about another member? All bets are off. It’s chaos. It’s outrage. It’s hashtags and mass reports and articles written about it within hours. But not for Jimin. Never for Jimin.
When it’s about Jimin, everything goes quiet. That’s when big accounts suddenly decide to “take a break.” That’s when some of them mysteriously “get sick” or “need to focus on their mental health.” That’s when they vanish. Every. Single. Time. When it’s Jimin, there’s always a but. There’s always a pause. There’s always silence.
But not from the Jikookers. Not from the actual Jimin fans. Not from the people who genuinely care about him and about the group. Because we’re still here. We’re still speaking up. And yes, that includes Jimin fans who also love the group. That includes Jikookers who defend Jimin and also support everyone else. Because those people, we are the real fans. Maybe we don’t buy a million albums, maybe we’re not streaming robots, but we defend Jimin online, we protect him, we protect the others too, as best as we can.
That, that, is what being a real fan actually means. And the rest of you? Honestly, you can fuck right off.
The reality is ugly. The fandom has become taekooker. That’s the truth, as simple and as ugly as it is. It’s full of people who pretend to care about the group but spend their time spreading hate towards Jimin. And it’s not just sad anymore, it’s revolting. Because they’ve made this environment so toxic, so unbearable, that it’s no longer fun to be here. You can’t even enjoy being a fan without seeing some ridiculous post dragging Jimin for absolutely nothing.
The problem isn’t being a fan of Taehyung and Jungkook or being fan of the ship. That’s not the issue. The problem is that those shippers are absolutely vile. They’re disgusting. Some of the worst people I’ve ever seen online. Their favourite target is always Jimin. For them, it’s not about enjoying their ship, or having fun with whatever they imagine or create. No. For them, the most important thing is hating Jimin. Saying awful things about him. Making things up about him. Insulting him at every possible moment.
Being a Taekooker isn’t about loving Jungkook and Taehyung. It’s about hating Jimin. And that’s the problem.
So yeah, I’m angry. Because it keeps happening. Because no one with any real influence ever calls it out. Because everyone prefers to pretend it’s not that deep. But it is that deep. It’s cruel. And it’s exhausting to see the same people being protected while Jimin is constantly treated as the scapegoat.
And until people stop pretending, until they admit what’s really happening, nothing will ever change.
This man right here has faced hate, bias, and countless moments of unfair judgment yet chooses to remain grounded, never letting the bitterness of the world change his heart. As a fan who truly loves him, I know he moves with care, measuring his words and actions, not only to protect his image, but to protect others. Being in the spotlight doesn't mean he belongs to the world, he is still human, with a quiet little life he holds private. And that deserves respect.
Actually no. JK still hasn't posted anything. That post belongs to V who made it a collab post with JK who accepted it and so now it appears on his "posts" IG is weird. What happened to tagging like Facebook?,
Anyway, Idk the point of your ask but I'm gonna use it to comment on the madness happening rn because of this video
Bro. Insecure Jikookers are so freaking annoying. I hate y'all so much. Can you just leave already?? You're making us all look bad. Jikookers can say we are not like trashkookers till the cows come home but as long as we have insecure Jikookers spiralling over this video no one is going to believe us. I mean, what is there to be insecure about???
Literally go Google "BTS sitting on each other's laps"
And these are just the ones tumblr is allowing me to share. Literally go check it out for yourself. FFS V is all over RM here
And you're getting upset over this???
Look at JK's body language, bro. I'm not saying he's uncomfortable but he's doing that thing two straight dudes do when sitting on eo. (Or 2 dudes who are just bros) He's leaning back. If that was Jimin on his lap he'd be leaning forward or would wrap his arms around Jimin's waist. I mean among the photos you'll find on Google is this one of JK's fingers on Jimin's nipple for some reason.
The reaction to that tkk video is WILD!!!! Like, why?? For what?? Lap sitting is not exclusive to Tkk. Its a BTS thing. Now y'all have trashkookers thinking we are threatened by Taekook. They want that so bad for us because majority of the time we have managed to show them we don't care that tkk are friends. But this video done gone and made some of y'all loose your minds for what???
Video didn't even come from JK, bro. I wish it had so I could at least get where y'all are coming from, damn. Fuck this, man. Call me when Taekook do this.
I am proud of JK for what he said on instagram in support of his juniors and artists in general. It also goes to show that he doesn’t cower. This is not a person who lets anyone force him into anything. But I also want to address all of the people who are blabbering about the fact that he hasn’t stood up for Yoongi but can do that.
I have no doubt that there has been much support for Yoongi in private from all of the members. I also have no doubt that they would be honest with him about how they perceive the situation whether that includes concern over his behavior, advice or whatever. With the closeness they have that would be expected. However, there is nothing that any of the other six of them could’ve said publicly that would not have been picked apart or misinterpreted as excusing his behavior or inappropriate in some other way by some of this crazy fandom and by the media .
I mean, let’s face it even if they just said “We love you Yoongi” people would be coming out of the woodwork to say… ‘He is supposed to set a good example as an idol and all they can say is that they love him instead of letting him know that he should do better.’ They would be called privileged.. They would be attacked for not chastising him or apologizing for him.
There is no way that he would want or expect any of them to say anything publicly about his situation. For his sake and their own. With everything else that is going on, enough is being said all over the place without inadvertently feeding the BTS hatred frenzy.
I think people need to get a grip and understand that we don’t see 90% of the actual relationships they have with each other. But what I do know and I’m not really sure why others don’t at this point, is that they have gotten this far by knowing exactly how to support each other. They have gotten this far by choosing each other over and over again. They have gotten this far by growing and learning from mistakes with each other. They have also gotten this far by being intelligent, and the intelligent choice in this matter would be to stay silent publicly.
So how about we quit looking for a reason to attack them at all?
JK is standing up for people who need to be stood up for and he knows what he’s doing and he knows why. He was very young when he started. This has to be very important to him and carefully considered for him to go out of his way at this time to say something publicly. And I can tell you for free that this is something his friend Yoongi understands him doing.
I guess maybe I just am always looking at the reasons they amaze me as humans. They let us see their mistakes and their flaws and struggles alongside their incredible talent..It’s a lovely thing. I don’t really understand why people want to tear them down so badly. How can you call yourself ARMY and do that?
If you are so unhappy in this fandom and it no longer brings you joy perhaps it’s time to move on. I personally am staying right with them.. As they are. 💜💜
Some thing’s changed but between you and I, everything is the same
I can’t even put into words how emotional this makes me
Jin, Yoongi, Hobi, Namjoon, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook hearts have never changed. From day 1 they have all been good people, and throughout their entire career, people who have worked with them will attest to that
This is the same guy who cut jungkooks hair and cried while telling him “Jungkook, you worked so hard”
You often hear praises from people like “wow that artist is cool” and “that artist is popular” but for BTS you always hear
“they were so kind” “they acknowledged everyone” “they helped us clean” “they were polite” “they’re humble” “they’re still the same from back then” “they don’t act like world super stars” “they’re all close”
And those praises aren’t even from fans, they’re from colleagues, their team, producers for shows, people they’ve worked with once, celebrities
People who have had several encounters with them, always state how their kindness has never changed
They were mistreated by their industry, and ARE still being put through hell and back
And yet
Their hearts don’t change
That’s why I could never ever turn my back on them, they’re worth fighting for, they’re worth showing up for, they’re worth protecting, not just because they’re “celebrities” but because their authenticity has ALWAYS been honest and true
A hell bent heart didn’t change then, and even if the world throws shit at them, they trust that we’re going to be there for each other no matter what
You can’t make “another BTS” because you can’t replicate them, not just for their talent, their work ethic, or even their fandom interactions, it’s because WE SEE them, and a kind heart, a TRUE kind heart can’t be replicated
Hi, I always enjoy reading your posts here! Knowing that you have a strong presence in the Jikook community, I wanted to suggest something for those who cherish Jikook’s bond so you could post it and spread this. I think it's common knowledge how "Are You Sure?!" has been treated by a large part of the ARMY fandom, many people ignore it, belittle their special bond, or generalize as if all 7 of them behave the same way. I suggest that those who love Jikook make an effort to show a lot of love for the travel show on >Weverse<, which is where they see the fandom's reaction the most, especially on the weekends (when they have more access to cell phones in the army). The preciousness of this show recorded with so much love should not be erased. I hardly see posts about the show on Weverse, it seems like an attempt to pretend it doesn't exist. Please spread this around, because they need to know how much those who love them appreciate "Are You Sure?!" and their bond. Send fan letters, make posts on Weverse, share some beautiful edits, write beautiful posts like those we see here (shorter ones translated into Korean too), and use # directed at Jimin and Jungkook. Just shower them with lots of love. They deserve to know how much we appreciate what they have been letting us see through the series. :)
Hey anon, I’m so happy you shared! Thank you for being here❤️.
You’re right, the show is not much mentioned on Weverse as far as I’ve noticed. At least if we compare the talks regarding it on there to the ones on the rest of the internet. I don’t think the guys do not see or know what happens on other social media platforms - a lot of scandals and rumors don’t circulate on Weverse and they’re still aware of em - and I’m sure they use every account they own, more or less, even the ones we have no clue of. But Weverse must be the app where they can directly interact with us and maybe the one they’re more used to share and read things on, so the impact and the frequency must be different and more of a part of their lives.
Not only they go live on there, but they also share letters and messages and wishes and respond to comments. It’s really their main platform and it would be such a great upgrade if we all left the same positive messages and reflections we post on here - or wherever else - on there too.
Please make sure this spreads around! This is an amazing reminder and it would be one of the greatest ways ever to directly show the guys how happy we are with this show and how appreciated and loved their bond is. As I said here I still feel like a part of their (and mostly JM’s, for what he showed) fears surrounding the show were also due to the possible interpretation or reaction of the fans. The way we were all gonna welcome their relationship and this new exclusive content with all the attention directed towards them. This didn’t stop them from doing it but they’re humans and supporting their courage would be a huge gesture.
I can still recall that time when someone wrote on Weverse they dreamed of Jikook singing Letter live together and JM liked that comment. Now that they use their phones less the best way to support them would be leaving such sweet comments that they’d like and see when they have free time and can scroll a bit. And probably the only way to get them publicly acknowledging they have a show being released with merch behind the scenes photobook and all💀EARTH CALLS JIKOOK 👍🏼
They already were the best at pretending everything happens outside of them like hickey was not trending after the bite mark or jimin say yes to jk was not trending after every wlive and so on. Now that they’re in the military they are even more careful with their words and platforms usage so… we need to really do everything in our power to at least raise the chances they’ll see how much Are You Sure is loved in this household.
I yapped again even with such a simple ask but yeah anon thank you again. That was good.
