Reflection Just a random capture of moment wherever we are -- TOGETHER ♥_♥
Hey, how are you?
It’s been four months. Wow. The last post I had here was when we’re about to get married. Crazy, right?!
Some updates:
We’re married! (obvs) and we’ll have our mini-moon this weekend. We weren’t able to push our honeymoon because of the pandemic. Still fine though!
Our house is quaint yet amazing. We started out of nothing and I am so happy to see how it has become now!
I am swamped with work. My business is totally kicking off, and I enjoy my work.
Kenneth is also swamped with work. Day job + freelance, yes he’s way more busier than me. Lucky for him, he’s always working from home.
Anyway, our life is totally good. Really comfortable.
Honestly, we may fight about the most trivial things every once in a while, but still of course, at the end of the day, we work things out. More posts soon 💋
Belle & Stacy Nails + Cafe
Chez: Kenneth just had his 26th birthday and I decided to treat him to a Spa Day to celebrate. He had a relaxing massage and a splendid foot spa! As he was busy with his massage I snuck out of the spa and tried to look for a Cake. My plan was to just buy some cake on the Starbucks across the street but it was CLOSED! Hahaha I got stressed and tried looking around. Hahahahaha I was laughing as I was walking around the area but to my dismay, there isn’t. So I went back inside, and when I’m about to give up, I just had an idea. Why not, order via Grab Food?! I know, right?! So I open my Grab App, and to my surprise, Sonja’s Cupcakes are available. So I picked the Birthday Cake slice, and in minutes, my order was picked up by a Grab Rider. What’s good is that he’s just using a bike. It’s so cool, right? Then they told me that the Birthday Cake isn’t available, and since Kenneth isn’t a fan of Red Velvet, I just picked the Rainbow cake and already thought of what I’m going to say when I surprise him. :) So as soon as I’m about to start my nails (Thanks for my mani treat by the way!), the Grab rider just came on time, so I picked it up at the door and opened it and sang Kenneth a birthday song. He was so surprised, he’s so cute like a boy. So, since I’m a dumbass and I can’t use the lighter, I just put on the candle and he lit it. I said, “You give color to my life.” I’m so sweet. I KNOW. Hahahahaha. For me, I just want to give Kenneth everything because he deserves it. He had a hard life on his first quarter of his life, and since it’s his second quarter.. or should I say, 1st Birthday once again, I want to make all of his birthdays memorable. :) Ken: My first birthday celebration for the second phase of my life with MY EVERYTINE Ü So at first, we travel from SM MOA to SM Makati to ride a BGC bus until we reached the Market Market. As a big part of our relationship, we really love walking especially on a Friday or Saturday windy season. We talk while Chez giving me some information regarding the places in Taguig. She’s so lovely when she does that and I’m just staring at her while I tuck her hair behind her ears. As we reached the cafe I don’t have any idea that she has a surprise for me and even planned it out with the reception assistant. First pamper activity body massage, Chez knows it well that I have difficulty with my back (Always had a back pain due to my posture, LOL). So after the body massage I already sit beside Chez and getting for my second pamper activity Footspa then suddenly she goes out and though that her manicure is already finished and she’s just taking care of the bill. Little did I know, she goes out to the cafe and get the delivered birthday cake. I was really surprised because I was expecting that she’s just taking care of something then she just sing and greet me a happy birthday. I was just staring at her and silently be thankful to God as always, how I was so lucky to this girl in front of me. Doing things that unexpectedly because of ME. UGH. Thank you is not enough LORD for this kind of gift and I promise to keep this forever. Tine, thank you for everything. I love you. I love you so much! I mean it. I really do. I can’t to be with you everyday ♥ Saranghaeyo, Yeobo! Ü
It’s been a while.
We’ve been busy! But here are some life updates:
WE HAVE A NEW URL! Oh my gosh, I was so mind blown when Kenneth surprised me. I’m--
We are getting married soon in a few days!
We are 80% done with packing our own stuff, we also bought a lot of stuff for our house as well. Bye $$$
Kenneth spent most of his time building our home. I am so happy when I saw it!
I had my Bridal Dress fitting last weekend. It fits me perfectly. My Mother-in-Law made it!
With in terms of Wedding’s Small Deets, we are 100%
We were just in awe. By the end of May, we already accepted our fate that we will not get married on our desired date, because of the timelines and such. But when we registered for our license, tadaa! Before we came in, I said, “Lord, ikaw na po bahala (Lord, I trust everything to you). And wow! Easy-peasy. We didn’t break a sweat. Everything went our way. It’s just amazing. This marriage is really God-willing.
This past few weeks, and weeks to come are really packed, you now? But still, we try to spend time with each other a few times a week.
So yeah, I guess that’s it! I’ll see you on the other side!

Raw photo. No filter. Gift from GOD ♥
This is our journey in Intramuros. So while walking and Chez’s tour in Intramuros, Guys its a must try! Chez’s tours have so many knowledge that you can gain but sorry it’s only limited edition and will only for mine! So after a long walk in Intramuros. Sadly, we didn’t have a chance to see San Agustin Church because it was close that time. So I decided to take a photo of her in front of the church. This photo was taken as raw in my phone and no filter. I don’t know what the rainbow means or how did it happen. One thing is for sure. I, Kenneth Grezer thank you the lord for the advanced unexpected gift that I received. Yes, we may not have a good start but we will make sure that it will last. Thank you god for the path that lead us together. Thank you for the guidance on our relationship. Thank you for the challenges that makes us stronger. Thank you for strength to strive more to a better version of ourselves. Thank you for preparing us for a bigger responsibility in life. Thank you for the past that made us who we are right now. Thank you for the present that brought us together. Thank you for the future that we will make it forever. I know that we a lot of big waves to come. We ask for strength physically, spiritually and emotionally. Thank you for my litol girl, princess, my woman, my everything and soon to be my queen -- Mrs Franchezca Francisco Dayrit. I couldn’t ask for more. I really can’t. I mean it.
Hold my hand. Forever.
This is how we got engaged.
Chez: We were sitting in the Garden of this Mall that we always go to after we work. I decided that we should stop seeing each other for six months, so he could finish and fix his issues and his past relationship. We’re not gonna sugarcoat it, and we have no intentions to sugarcoat it. He has an almost nine year relationship when I came it. Everyone, including I, knows I ruined it. So I wanted to stop seeing him, for him to fix it, and for him to really know if he likes me or not. He was just quiet, the whole time I was explaining this. He was in deep thought. We were silent from sometime, then he suddenly said, “Okay. But.. let’s get married right away, after six months.” And as cheesy as this may sound, but it is true when they say, if it’s the right moment, you’ll just know. I just smiled and said, “Okay.” He repeated it for three times, and I can see he doesn’t believe me, so I gave him my Mother’s Engagement Ring (Which is a heirloom, and I also wished that it will be my Engagement Ring as well), and told him to formally ask me. So there he was, sitting beside me, teary eyed, holding my Mom’s 26 year old Engagement Ring, and asked me, “Maria Franchezca. Will you marry me?” I just nod, and he was waiting for my answer, and I said, “Yes, I will.” and he put the ring on my finger. This is my dream proposal. Not public, nothing fancy. BUY. Heartfelt and Simple. Just the way I like it. :) Ken: The day that full of feelings and meanings… I will always remember this day as this one of the day that we didn’t expect to happen. We we’re at work that day just finishing what we had to do since we have a Pre-Christmas Dinner. So I made a reservation in Farmery Cafe and ordered a flower at Flowerstore.ph (Their product presentation is great though I’m a bit dissapointed with their service because they delivered it to the wrong address) I’m a bit uneasy that afternoon since Chez told me that she has something to say maybe it’s a warning (LOL!) so after work, Chez and I decided to sit in the Garden and just rest for a while after a long day of work and just have some chismis and kumustahan of our day then things got serious. Chez asked me “Do you love me?” I immediately said “YES, I really love you!” there’s no point of thinking at that time because if you felt it, you don’t have to think of it. Afterward, she informed that if you really love me then let’s meet after 6 months. She informed of her reasons, at first it feels like losing her that time but after looking and staring in her eyes, she meant it. I didn’t say no because I know she is right. I have a lot of things to fix not just for myself but also in my life and my past relationship as well. So we decided to take a break for 6 months with one condition – I want to get married right away after 6 months. Impulsive? YES! But at that moment, when you feel that it’s the right time at the right moment with the right person, you will know it! She just nod and said okay (She always does that but not to the point that she’s not serious about it, that’s how simple, rare and unique she is as simple as her nod) Me being me I was skeptical, I didn’t believe her, so I ask and ask and ask until she decided to give me her ring (She have a ring that day, I must say its really a God’s timing) then I asked her again and she answered “YES!” I’m so happy when I heard it, its like my heart gonna explode that day having a bliss Ü
Romatic Baboy
Chez: I’ve been to different Romantic Baboy. And they always have different experiences, and different tastes. I mean, same side dishes, same meats. But for me, the best ones I tried is in BF Homes when it first open and in University of the East. Anyway, we tried Romantic Baboy in Alabang. It was a really crazy day. I picked him up at work, then we were thinking where to eat. The service was good. Wasn’t that satisfied with the meats and sides. I guess it’s because they setup the tables way before someone sits on it, so I guess the quality lows down a bit. But still, we ate a lot. :D
Ken: I remember this day, the second time that she surprises me because she picks me up again at work. So it’s a looooong and epic day, we had an argument this day but we made a come back as soon we fixed the issue (Yeah, that’s one of the best things that in our relationship, COMEBACK IS REAL!) Anyway after we travel for 2 to 3 hours because of SLEX road works. Chez wanted me to try Romantic Baboy! My first time was in Malvar, Batangas that I didn’t enjoy it much because of its service. The same meats and sides with other branches, but still food will always be good food. Thank you, God, for the food! I guess we will go to BF Home or University of East branch for our next Romba to try Chez’s Romba Choice Branch ^_^
Baguio Eats
Chez: Since we’re both foodies, of course we had to do a separate post for the things we ate at Baguio! :)
Here are the things we ate:
1. Strawberry Taho and Fresh Strawberries at Strawberry Farm
I have always loved Strawberries.Kenneth isn’t a fan which is sad but nevertheless, he enjoys seeing me eating it. The Strawberry Taho is a bit sour, but it was fresh and delicious. Also, a great snack would be fresh strawberries! Tip: Wash it with cold water so you can eat it right away!
We haven’t tried the Strawberry picking since it’s minimum is 1 kilograms with the price of Php 650.00 at that time. What we try here was the Strawberry Taho and Chez really enjoyed it!
2. Unlimited Brewed Coffee, Kamote, Pandesal, Peanut Butter at Darjane’s Garden
If you’re looking for a place to have your breakfast, this is a great option. The views are good, there’s free flowing coffee, kamote, pandesal and peanut butter! It was a really good experience, and it’s really cheap! For only 120? It’s worth it.
The unlimited brewed Arabica/Robusta Coffee with Kamote, Pandesal and Peanut Butter was so nostalgic to me as this was the food that our family always eat during breakfast and afternoon snacks. I just hope there’s a creamer for the coffee. Nevertheless, the food is great and place is pleasing.
3. Lumpiang Shanghai, Fried Rice and Sweet and Sour Pork at Good Taste Restaurant
It’s one of the must try in Baguio. It has 6 stories, but people would still line up to eat here! The food is amazing and the price is really cheap. The Lumpiang Shanghai is excellent, the Fried Rice is good enough on it’s own, and the Sweet and Sour Pork... is my favorite among them all. It’s really delicious.
We decided to have lunch in Good Taste, I was surprised because this is a 6-stories restaurant. Yes! 6-stories but the best of it is that the available table at that time is on 6th floor. Imagine the numbers of people whose eating in this best budget-friendly restaurant.
4. Strawberry Ice Cream at Mines View
Of course, our trip won’t be complete without trying the Strawberry Ice Cream! I missed the ice cream that I usually buy outside of my office in Makati, and it reminds me so much of it. I guess the difference would be, it’s much more fresh perhaps? :)
Strawberry Ice Cream! I try this one in Baguio and it’s not that cheap but it’s so flavorful. Yes! I did try even I’m not into Strawberry. This was the only Strawberry food/meal that I try in Baguio and it’s worth the price. While having this Strawberry Ice Cream we explore more the beauty of the place and you can walk also to the peak of Mines View Park or you can also ride a jeep that will lead you to the place where most of the people visted. The beautiful Mines View Park.
Drive-by Taco Shop
Chez: I remember, I always wanted to try this. The first time we tried to eat at their Las Piñas branch, they were close that night HAHAHAHA. Anyway, one afternoon we just decided to eat there, and I REALLY LOVED IT. I am always a fan of Mexican food, or anything spiced actually– and it’s also a part of my Food Bucketlist. And I tell you, it’s really flavorful and delicious! We shared Nachos and Steak Burrito over an ice cold Beer, and it was a really good afternoon. I remember asking Ken that night, “Why me?” and it was just a really good moment. To end a perfectly good night, we had Southern Dairy, which is a block a way or so.
Ken: My first burrito food! Is it good? It’s okay maybe because I’m not always into Mexican food but I will definitely try more burrito food soon! So Chez wanted me to try burrito before we try Army Navy’s so we decided to go in Drive-by Taco Shop one afternoon. And I must say, this one of the food that I should have try a long ago. After taking a bite of this food I am very curious to other flavors of burrito. Chez and I always drink beer once in a while so we had like Ice Cold Beer and Nachos combo. It was soooo good but not only the food, the memories we had together will always be the one I’m looking for. Thank you, Darling! Ü
Lugawan sa Tejeros
Chez: This has been a staple during our meetings when I used to work in Makati before. I always tell Ken how good it is, and once we went to Makati at a very early time, we decided to have our breakfast here. Another thing is that’s its near Makati City Hall, and that time we were looking for the requirements for our Marriage License. I really love their Lugaw with Lechon Kawali, together with some Chili. It’s the perfect combination. It’s really heavy so it’s perfect if you have a long day. :)
Ken: My first Lugaw sa Tejeros! I always hear this lugawan to my friends but I never got a chance to try until Chez and I planned it before we inquire for the requirements & documents that we need for getting our Marriage License in Makati City Hall (Yas!). We have their Lugaw with Lechon Kawali, Tokwa’t Baboy and especially Boiled Egg! I love their classic lugaw with chili. It was so delicious and so heavyyyyyy that we had to walk to go to Makati City Hall before making our very own so-called vlog. LOL! Hahaha
Tudings Original Pork Chop
Chez: I remember the first time I tried Tudings, during our Team Lunch. It was really good, and the Chili Powder really complimented the crispy Porkchop. So when Kenneth asked me what I wanted to eat, I just thought of Tudings, since its on our way home. The service is fast, the food is good and cheap, so why not, right? :)
Ken: After work, we decided to have dinner in Tudings. Our first Tudings together and my second try of it and I must say it’s so delicious specially with lots of Chili Powder! We really enjoyed the food and try some sauce that might spice up the food a little bit and it’s definitely worth to try again (I was not pleased the first time I try it) Personally, eating food with the one you love makes it more luscious Ü
Mary Grace Cafe
Chez: Mary Grace has been my dream first date place. Yes, call me Tita but for me, it’s really perfect. The place and ambiance is cozy and romantic, and the food, is undeniably good. It’s a classic. So when Ken was planning for his Valentine’s Day Surprise, he decided to pick this place. We had a hearty lunch before he leaves for work, and it was a simple celebration-- just the way I like it. We had Carbonara, Grilled Ensaimada & Cheese Roll dipped in their famous Hot Chocolate, and of course, my beloved Cheescake. It was really good and filling meal. :) Ken: Our First Valentine Together! :) So 1 week before February 14, I already called Mary Grace Cafe for the reservation. Apparently, they don’t accept reservation on that day since they have an event. So after we had our breakfast and reminisced our first memories together in Evia. We go directly to Mary Grace Cafe to have our lunch before I go to work. Sadly, it’s only half-day date but we just savor the time that we had and grateful that we’re together on our first valentine together #TYL. As always, we try first their Hot Chocolate and it was so flavorful! We ordered Carbonara, Ensaimada & Cheese Roll and especially Chezcake (Guys, just let me please? ^_^) The food is beyond what I expected! It was worth to try and we will definitely go back and always be thankful to the things that been part of our love story :)
Premiere Samgyupsal
Chez: It was our first celebration/meal for the year 2020! It was just a last minute plan actually. Anyway, I tried Premiere before so I know that it’s really good. I really liked their Doenjang-jjigae (Soybean Soup), it’s one of the best Doenjang-jjigae (Soybean Soup) I had. So when I saw it, I immediately suggested it! I am so pleased that Ken enjoyed it. It makes me happy whenever I suggest something and Ken likes or enjoys it. :) So, to give you a background, they have a bit of selection of meats from Chicken, Pork and Beef, they have a wide variety of Banchan (Korean Side Dishes), and they have, like I mentioned, Doenjang-jjigae (Soybean Soup) and Samgye-tang (Ginseng Chicken Soup). To fully enjoy our meal, we had Soju as well! Kenneth has Alcohol Allergy so we usually just have little alcohol, and it’s just every once in a while. Anyway, the price is worth it for the whole meal. :)
Ken: Happy New Year! So after celebrating New Year’s eve with our families. I visited our soon to be “Home” and clean it then Chez and I decided to have an unplanned date. We decided to walked somewhere in South until we saw Premiere Samgyupsal. Their meat with their soup combo that Chez really likes is what we almost eat this time. They also have a lot of side dishes that you will have a lot of combos to try. We decided to try it with Soju and it was a bomb! Chez being Chez, she always has a lot of knowledge she shares especially her favorite foods. That’s one thing that I really love on her, when she just always have kwento and I’m just staring, admiring, and cherishing how lucky I am to have her in my life Ü. I was happy to celebrate the first day of the year with Chez. Soon that will be annually! üwü
Purple Oven
Chez: This were on the early stages of our friendship. So we were busy doing Christmas Shopping for our upcoming Party, and we just passed by Purple Oven. I told him I always loved Purple Oven so he told me to go in and look for something to buy. Of course, being a Cookie Monster, I picked out this decadent Chocolate Cookie. It was so perfect. Right amount of sweetness, chewiness. UGH! Purple Oven never disappoints.
Ken: Chez and I really loves to walks especially to a place where there trees and has a chill vibe so we as pass-by Purple Oven. Chez was telling a story about Purple oven and their products. So we decided to take a look and order one. Purple Oven is a must try shops not just for cookie that Chez loves but the Tiramisu, Sansrival and their Cheesecake! Oh, as I called it Chezcake Ü
Rico’s Lechon
Chez: When I had my trip in Cebu a few years back, Rico’s was the first meal I had in Cebu as soon as our plane landed. So when Rico’s came to Manila, I was so excited, and I try to eat every once in a while, every time I have the chance. Anyway, Kenneth and I were just going out by this time (we’re not even really dating lmao), and he just asked me where I want to eat after my work. It was my second time again in Tiendesitas, so I looked up and I was so surprised when I saw that there’s Rico’s there! So of course, we had to go. We had Sinigang and Lechon, and I tell you. We were both tired the whole day going around east and we forgot about it as soon as we ate this. UGH. FILIPINO FOOD FOREVER. LECHON CEBU FOREVER.
Ken: After a loooooooong day of trade-checking. We decided to have dinner in Tiendesitas specifically in Rico’s Lechon where we had Sinigang and Orignal Lechon. Chez wants me to try first the original variant for comparison to the spicy one. I was making fun of the serving of the rice because of its apperance that is so cute hahaha. Anyway, this is my first time trying like Lechon + Sinigang combo and yes! We really forgot for some time that it was a tiring day! Road to more Lechon Cebu soon! Ü

All my life, I always believed in Fate, Destiny, Kismet, Serendipity or whatever you call it.
But as I grow old, I learned that God has plans for everyone, and if he allows you to have something, you will have it. At the right time, at the right place. And as I’m about to finish Crash Landing on You, I finally realized why Ken keeps on mentioning, “What if we met before?”
If we think about it, we both work in Makati, I am always near at his office; He used to live near Taft, and I am, most of the time at Taft Don’t worry, I’m not gonna list down everything, I just want to share. The probability. It’s funny, right?
We both have lived separate lives for the first twenty five years of our lives; We managed to get by, through hardships and victories.
I guess, it would be normal to wonder, what if? What if we really met before, and we just don’t realize it now?
But let me tell you something. While it’s cute and all, would it still matter? What matters now, is that we both have each other now.
I may have come at a very unfortunate situation in your life, but still, it’s fortunate we met and we ended this way.
Right now, I’m just looking at your face through the screen as I type this, and I can’t help but think.
Thank you. Thank you for coming to my life when I didn’t need anyone. Thank you for coming to my life when I least expected you. Thank you for coming to my life, after everything that happened. Thank you for coming to my life, at the right time, at the right place.
I love you.
-Chez
Baguio
Chez: This is the most impromptu trip we ever had. In fact, this is our first trip together. It was really funny. Like we were actually together, Friday Morning. Then, Ken went to work. And some time in lunch, my Aunt decided that we should go to Baguio, like, later in the Evening. I asked Ken if he wants to come. He said yes of course. So he filed his leave and left the office. This will be a two part post, here’s like the ultimate rundown, and on the second post solely focused on food, LOL.
Ken: Baguio, Our first travel together and my first unpremeditated trip in my entire life and its not just around the corner. It’s was a 5 hours trip! So after taking a leave, I immediately take an express transportation to be able to come on time. I cannot forget this day because Chez was so excited that she even waited me outside as I reached their house. This will be a loooooooooong yet informative blog. So, sit tight, relax, and enjoy!
So here’s the timeline:
12:30 AM ETD PITX to Baguio
05:30 AM ETA Baguio
I remember Ken waking me up to view the Night Sky and it was magnificent. Anyway, Mcdonalds was one of the few places that was opened so we decided to have our breakfast there!
I remember waking up Chez before we reached the City of Baguio as we passed by Night Sky and the light of houses and it was so spectacular until we reached the Baguio and was surprised since the place is much colder than the air-conditioner of the bus and I really didn’t expect that haha.
06:30 AM ETD Baguio to Strawberry Farm
Take a jeep with the signage “La Trinidad” and ask the driver to drop you off in La Trinidad Strawberry Farm.
For those, who wants to commute going to Strawberry Farm you can ride a jeepney with Php 11.25 fare. Yes! You will still receive a change of .75 cents. A Filipino trademark.
07:00 AM ETA Strawberry Farm
Everything is cheap here! I suggest for you to buy Vegetables and Strawberries here!
First stop, La Trinidad Strawberry Farm! Chez and I were so amazed like we are in South Korea due to cold-weather breath 😂
08:00 AM ETD Strawberry Farm to Darjane’s Garden
08:30 AM Darjane’s Garden
For only 120 pesos, you get to see and appreciate the beautiful Sunflower Garden, plus it comes with unlimited brewed Arabica/Robusta Coffee (no creamer, only sugar), Kamote, Pandesal and Peanut Butter!
For those who plans to go to Darjane’s Garden make sure that you have means of transportation, the place is 10-15 minutes from the highway and it feels like you’re taking a hike after visiting the place. So, make sure that toes and knees are ready because grandma/grandpa will definitely react 🤣🤣🤣
09:00 AM ETD Darjane’s Garden back to Baguio
09:30 AM ETD Baguio to Burnham Park
10:00 AM Burnham Park
Ken and I were like kids when we saw the Go Kart. Our first response was, “LET’S DO IT!”. Besides that, we just walked around the park, we didn’t ride the boat or whatevah.
Chez and I have a competitive personality even in Go Kart. Haha! So we decided to ride it in a separate ride. It was a fun bonding activity together. Renting of Go Kart in Burnham Park will cost around Php 50.00 for 30 minutes. So I dare you to try it and burn some calories LOL.
11:00 PM Lunch at Good Taste
12:00 PM ETD Good Taste to Camp John Hay
01:30 PM Camp John Hay
I was so surprised when I saw how commercialized it was already! There are a lot of restaurants and shops. It’s actually a good option to eat lunch if you’re avoiding the tourist rush in the city.
We didn’t take too long in Camp John Hay but after getting a tour while we in a taxi, I must say that the place is for those who want to have family picnic. Those tall trees will surely help in just sitting around and taking a nap. :)
02:00 PM ETD Camp John Hay to Mines View
02:30 PM Mines View
The place was packed and cramped so I didn’t enjoy much, so we mostly did our final pasalubong shopping here. I bought some good old Good Sheppard Ube Jam, some Rice Crispies and Lengua de Gato.
The park was so crowded at the time that’s why we didn’t enjoy it. We just look around and buy some goodies for our families. We will definitely go back there some time that we will surely appreciate the place. See you soon, Mine’s View Park!
03:00 PM ETD Mines View to Baguio
03:30 PM ETD Baguio to PITX
08:30 PM ETA PITX
