Prev post reminded me of how a lot of people say anime isn't a good way to learn Japanese because it's so exaggerated which is like. Sure if you mostly watch battle shonens or comedy or whatever but I watch a lot of like. Slice of life dramas where the dialogue is really not that exaggerated and I've heard actual Japanese people speak with a very similar cadence. Anime can be a great way to learn (some) Japanese if you watch the right ones and also understand context!!!
