Now I haven’t finished the books yet, but I’m wondering a lot about Ford’s decision to take Arthur with him when the earth got destroyed.

We’re told by the narrator that Ford has known of the vogan constructor fleet since the middle of last night bc of his Device. Where he then waited until the earth was going to be destroyed in about ten minutes to actually go and get Arthur. I was going to say to convince him to come along with him but that was a decision that Ford made by himself :p

Did he spend hours on hours trying to convince himself to be /for/ or /against/ saving Arthur’s sorry life? He’s left people behind before, he’s said it himself so what makes Arthur different exactly 🤨
