It's a wedding, you have to smile Mr. Grumpy Gills. See? Like this.
Wear White and Be Mine | The Wedding
Listening to him was once thing, nodding the next as she inhaled a small gust of air, puffing her chest up and exhaling slowly. Nerves were clear, her stomach flipping back and forth. But she was justified. Sure, she made it up the aisle without falling, but what about walking down when it was all done? And would someone object? She was sure if she was allowed a gun in the dress sheâd shoot anyone who objected. And the most important worry that landed on her mind â now that she was in front of her soon to be Husband, and he wasnât repulsed with the dress she chose â so far so good.
âNo going back?â She whispered, hands in his, after passing off the small bouquet to Ravenna who sat nearby. âI mean, Iâm already in the dress but mâ make-up is still intact.â She said, the small joke breaking a laugh before she turned her attention to the Minister. As the man spoke, standing in front of him, she wiggled her brows. âWentworth, righâ?â She asked in a joking tone, poking fun at the soon-to-be new name she would quickly inherit.
huntressfrankie:
Going back? Oh hell no. The squeeze of his hands to hers had to mean something, right? That meant, well.. everything. Enough so that he lifted her hands, kissed her knuckles as the minister continued to speak. Verses from the Bible, others given and he paid little attention. How could he when the woman who was mere words away from being his wife was before him, smiling, making him grin and damn near cry. Christ, heâd known his eyes would get close to being wet, that his composure would be pretty shaky.
"No way in hell," he chuckled and glanced at the minister, who lifted his brows. "Sorry." Oops, his expression read, followed quickly by mirth and delight as the vows were begun. Turning slightly, he accepted the ring that was meant for her, smiling at the shine. âFigured you wouldnât mind bling,â he murmured and cleared his throat, began reciting after the minister, promising himself to her forever, through sickness and health.
She watched them, whispered words were exchanged between the two, and Kenzie expected it was excited words. The scene was picuresque and Kenzie couldn't tear her eyes away from the scene. Frankie looked like a princess and Brandon looked like her charming prince. It was perfect. She caught a sight of the sparkle and noticed the ring. With her breath caught in her throat, Kenzie listened to the words spoken by Brandon.
I maybe in a dress, but Iâll punch âcha.
I'll push send before you punch me, though.

Breathe. Breathe. Breathe, damn it. Frankie thought to herself, one last look in the reflection before she turned away. No, she doesnât look pale, nor sick. But she was nervous as hell. Hands trembled, as she patted down the middle of her stomach, smoothing out the fabric of her dress. She looked at her Grandfather, standing tall in his all white suit. She wanted to shake her head at it, but there was no denying heâd do whatever the hell he wanted. Her grandmother, Frankie couldnât get into it. How a woman could go from being so full of light to having the bright beam sucked out of her for being sick. But the next step would be best for her Grandmother. She just had to move through the nerves.
Straightening up, the cue ready as she moved out the tent slowly. She could hear the small chatter. She was certain all her friends could hear the quick thudding in her chest, as she moved towards the end of the aisle slowly. Pausing for a moment, her eyes meeting his, Frankie did something only a dork like she would do. She waved. Small, enough to not make the minister all but role his eyes, as she walked up the aisle slowly. Pausing, standing before him, she paused, the colour creeping her cheeks, the smile setting up camp on her expression. âHi.â She whispered.
He could hear her. Her heart beating, her breathsâhow often they stuttered and had to be forced in and out. Needless to say, he loved it. Loved that they had waited for her grandparents, for he knew the reason why just as he knew what her grandfather would be wearing, what his reaction would be when he saw her. When. Soon, yes very much that.
So his heart continued his fast and hard pound, his throat suddenly dry when that classic song began to play. His tongue flicked out, wet his bottom lip and Brandon turned to see her. To stare at the beautiful redhead in white, slowly approaching with her elderly grandfather as escort. Every step and dreams became reality, his smile without question and utterly delighted. This was real, true, and amazing. She was really here. And Brandon waved back, a hint of tears starting in his eyes as she stood before him. âHi back,â he whispered and barely heard the minister request all sit after her grandfather claimed that he and her family did give her to this man.
This man being him. Oh. Oh shit, this is real. âYou look so beautiful,â he whispered as he held her hands, as she stood in front of him now.
Sitting in the crowd of the small party of wedding guests, Kenzie read over the program once more. It looked beautiful. Glancing up she once again let her eyes travel over the decorations that the couple had picked out. It was tasteful, breathtaking while at the same time being simple. All in all, it was a beautiful wedding so far. A small smile graced Kenzie's lips as she studied Brandon standing up there, waiting for his soon to be wife. It was so exciting to see him almost physically bursting with the wait.Â
That was when the music started up. The crowd stood and Kenzie stared at Brandon. She had already seen Frankie's dress when she had snuck back there to see her friend. Now her eyes were upon the groom since she wanted to see his eyes light up at the first sight of his bride. It was moving to see Brandon so happy while so emotional at the sight of Frankie. Then they were together, waiting to get married. The smile would not leave Kenzie's face.
Seem tâ be the collective opinion. Thanks. And yâ can sneak around all yâ want, jusâ donât tell Brandon whaâ mâ dress looks like.
Wait, smile! I gotta take a picture to show Brandon.
Jusâ a little. Whatâcha doinâ here?
Don't be. Sneaking around where I'm not supposed to be? Really though, you don't have to be nervous, you look beautiful.
Nervous?
Perfectly fine, York. You should read more fiction, watch more movies. Itâs a joke. Look at this guyâs face. You should adopt him. Give him a proper name. What do you say?
You've seen the inside of my apartment, Bash, you know I read and match more than enough movies. He is a cutie, I can't deny that. Plus I really love dogs. But, can I really? What if he belongs to someone, Bash? I can't just take someone's dog.
Iâm not sure if this is an overly friendly pup or just a shifter who canât find its way back to their original form⌠I should keep him.Â
Um... shifter? You okay there Bash...?
