The KIDS act (which contains KOSA) passed the US house, so I would recommend calling your senators and telling them to vote in opposition. I don't think I need to stress the importance of being able to use the internet freely and without privacy barriers being breached.
There are many scripts online you can follow, many ways to tweak your message to fit your senator (ESPECIALLY if they are up for reelection this year). Whether it's a recording you reach or a real person, be straightforward, don't argue, just let your rep know that you are a constituent and you oppose the KIDS act, etc.
Here is where you can search for your senator... call, email, fax, bring them physical letters, show up in person to their offices if you are able.
I really don’t want age checks to be a thing, so make sure yall message your senators about the KIDS act and tell they fuck asses to vote NO.

It didn’t even matter that this book was drawn by a man, it just kinda sucked at what it was supposed to do. “Journal your emotions!” Was NOT going to help me as a preteen dealing with a rush of hormones. I don’t think anything can. Pregnant adult women can’t handle that, a teenager is going to teenage, and a bullet journal about my emotions is black mail for my parents and or more than likely going to quickly turn into a rage filled burn book. Not sound advice.
It also didn’t tell me what’s safe and when I need to get out situations. Doesn’t talk about mental health. Doesn’t discuss sexual assault as a problem, which as someone who needed that talk sooner and didn’t get it, was a problem. It doesn’t discuss what normal discharge or period waste looks like, and when I need to see a doctor. It only occasionally gave advice on puberty related things. It mostly just talked about swimmers ear and athletes foot and hygiene. The illustrations were very few and far between to be honest, and they were as respectful as I can imagine a diagram about boobs and uteruses to be. If I recall correctly though, it does not talk about queer youth and that experience (also needed that talk but nobody bothered to give it because they assumed I was ✨straight✨ and I’m so very ✨not!✨)
As for contraceptives I think they were vaguely mentioned and it promoted abstinence as the “only 100% effective birthcontrol!” Also not true or correct for someone who also happens to be a childhood rape survivor but yk. Whatever I guess? There was also no explanation as to what consent is, and was written by the American girl doll company, and there’s PLENTY of issues with that company I’m fairly sure.
You can hate this book and its lack luster information, and the fact that there’s two of them. But don’t hate for the flimsy reason that they gave an artist who just happens to own a penis, a goddamn job.
