you know what I really love about Obi Wan telling Leia of the qualities she got from Padmé and Anakin?

it’s that when he said he wishes he could tell her more about her biological parents, she said it’s okay, that she knows, and then looks at Breha and Bail — why? because Breha is “wise, discerning, and kindhearted” and Bail is “passionate, fearless, and forthright”

yes it’s no doubt that Leia has qualities of her birth parents, that much is very clear, but she is also all these qualities because of the parents who raised her all her life and taught her to be the person she is now

I appreciate the show acknowledging that as much as Obi Wan sees Padmé and Anakin in Leia, Leia sees herself in Breha and Bail, and effectively accepting her place in Alderaan and being at peace with the questions she’s had about her birth parents

Leia is Padmé and Anakin’s daughter AND Breha and Bail’s daughter — both are true and valid and important

I think the final episode honoring the Lars' and the Organas was a really nice touch. Padme and Anakin brought Luke and Leia into the galaxy, but it was Owen and Beru, Bail and Breha that made them into the heroes they grew up to be.

And the recurring theme that we still have a choice, and sometimes our choices are terrible and there are times where it feels like there’s no option, but evil is not something that comes unbidden, it’s something chosen, and as long as you are fighting it, though the temptation is there, you are walking on the better path.
