It’s just been sitting on my ipad all this time. Man, I need to make more time for drawing, I come home from work and don’t have energy to do anyyythiiiing.
First off, I'm finally cancer-free and considered cured. Now I just need to check every couple of months if everything is still okay. So, yay!
Second, our studio has published our first game today. I've worked on it as a QA tester for the last three years, but--as you can see above--I also made three murals for the game (as well as some additional art stuff). It was a great opportunity to do something more than portraits.
As for the upcoming months, I have no idea how much time I'll have to do art, no idea if I'll be posting here much. I'm trying to enjoy my day to day life and not stress about painting. Because of the release of the game and all the stress I let down one person who commissioned and I really hate that.

I’m enjoying Veilguard, the writing is what annoys me the most, but it’s a solid game anyway. It’s been a nice distraction from crunch at my job. That’s gamedev for you, I guess.

A big part of my character arc was realizing I could spend forever trying to fix and finish this drawing, but I’m never going to be satisfied with the results. Instead, I’ll release it in this state—flawed, imperfect, and mine.

🌻 Visual references!! Any and all types of references are appreciated!!!! Anything from: pinterest boards, other commissions, your art, or irl refs (such as selfies or face claims) are great. Things like personality descriptions are also good, as long as you also provide visual references!! (and if you have any questions about what qualifies as a good ref just ask!!!) If you don’t have an idea for a pose that’s also totally fine! I found that this reference sheet is a good example: LINK however, a google doc (or any other document word document) is not necessary.
🌻 The price for an extra full body character is $10 less and the price for an extra half body character is $5 less!! For example: 2 full body, fully rendered characters would be $95 + 85. 3 half body, partially rendered characters would be 55 + 50 + $50. There is no extra character limit!
🌻 Backgrounds will be a solid color by default. However if there is a specific color you want just say so!! and I can also provide you with a transparent background version. If you’re wanting something more complicated be aware that the commission will take longer than an average comm with a solid color background. For a more complicated background there can be a $10 to $20 additional fee.
🌻 I cannot and/or won’t do anything: heavy nsfw (ex: genitals. boobs are okay as long as there’s no sexual vibes I guess???), furry art, heavy mecha stuff, or heavy gore. Also if anything about what you want me to draw makes me uncomfortable/upset I have the right to turn you down obviously. I do have some experience with some dnd fantasy races, so I’m definitely willing to try animal-like humanoid characters.
🌻 The commission can take 1-6 weeks to finish depending on how far down the line you are and the complexity of your commission (i.e a partially rendered bust could take a week, while a fully rendered, full body could take 2). More complicated comms can take longer, such as ones including multiple characters or detailed backgrounds.

I found photos of my very mediocre Hawke cosplay. 😭
I was making it for Poland’s biggest convention, I was so anxious all the time I was there in the costume, I don’t really have photos of the finished outfit.
I would love to revisit it now that I’m much better mentally (and have some more money to spend on shit like this).
I still love the fabrics I found, I think they’re great for Hawke’s house outfit. I didn’t sew it myself, though, but I made all the accessories and embroidered elements.

Every time I replay Dragon Age 2 it just gets better. I have yet to play a game with better-written characters who interact with each other as if they really were a band of friends and not just individuals who talk to each other only in the presence of the protagonist.
It didn’t deserve all the hate, to me it truly is the best entry in the series.
