Imagine that every version of Crowley (TV Crowley, book Crowley, radio Crowley, and musical Crowley) are brothers. And Season 3 Crowley is the unwanted little brother that none of them even acknowledge as family, they just collectively roast him every chance they get.

Book Crowley would absolutely knock some fucking sense into him.
