Disclaimer: I am not Chinese, if you're Chinese I'd love your input :) But here's some tips I've gathered, and actually put into practice and seen good results from (in a week). Credits to @sherry on tiktok
I ended up waking up craving hot water by the end of the week. Like clockwork, in an hour after I was done I had a bowel movement (leaving me debloated for the rest of the day).
Some people literally can't stomach it so they add lemon, ginger to hot water. Or you can drink a miso soup, bone broth, herbal tea.
Another digestive masterpiece. I use any red apple, peel it (because most apple skins have wax on them), and cut it in cubes. I put water to boil on the stove and add the apples, then turn the stove off and let the apples steam, and let the water steep. Then pour in a cup, like apple soup.
Some people add pineapple or goji berries to it. I add cinnamon. It smells soo good and it is so soothing on the stomach.
Sticking to warm meals during the winter
Stick to soups, congees, oatmeals, etc. Women should stay warm for their womb year round, but sticking with a warm food diet is helpful for your digestive system and immune system.
Keeping your body warm 24/7
Wrap up really warm when going out, and going to bed. Keep socks on 24/7. Wear gloves and hats. Take warm baths and go to saunas. This is the best time to go to hot yoga.
Qigong is basically like a moving meditation that's super chill but surprisingly effective for your body.
Instead of hitting a heavy gym session, you're doing these slow, flowing movements and deep breathing that really dial down your stress levels and help you feel more grounded.
It’s a total win for your joints and balance since it isn't high-impact, and it’s famous for giving your immune system a little boost, which is perfect for staying healthy during the winter.
