Akane-banashi is such a funny story in how it treats the father. Everyone is constantly acting and talking like the father was killed by the enemy ninja village or an evil stand user or something, but he's fine. Like, he's just working a normal office job after quitting rakugo, he comes home to his wife and daughter every evening and stuff. But then you get a scene where Akane is "time traveling" to have a drink with her father to get to know him better. Like, he'll be home from his job in a couple hours, you can't talk to him then. No need to use you rokugo jutsu to summon his spirit from the afterlife lol.

what has me so fucked up is we literally visually see Issho becoming more close to Akane like all her other performances he’s a brief blip or a dramatic reveal at the end but in this one his face has been consistently monitored each fucking chapter and it’s not dramatized in bold lines or anything it’s just him!!! He’s literally just approaching her as him!!! Like compare his smile after God of Death to his smile after the Zuiuin Prize!!

He’s watching from a screen vs sitting in front of her! The ratios are different. A full page with just his grumpy face precedes the first smile, it’s a dramatic reveal, and then the tiny panel with his smile. For God of Death he takes up a small corner of the page with an even tinier frown and then a panel showing his WHOLE face there’s the smile there’s his EYES wide open which I don’t think we’ve seen since Karaku cup honestly? And again the line work is neutral!!! He’s literally visually narratively closer to her because his character is so tied to the God of Death and Akane found her fucking answer RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

AKANE-BANASHI STREAMING PLATFORMS/SIMULCAST ANNOUNCED!!!

Basically, Akane-banashi is being simulcasted worldwide starting from April 4th, 12:00 PM ET (UTC-5) in the platforms mentioned in the image above (NOT a complete list, more to be confirmed!). In May, a worldwide Netflix release will include international language dubs and subs (dubbing confirmed from the livestream on the youtube channel). In Asia, it will be simulcasted on Netflix from the start.
