P L E A S E R E A D

My art teacher was teaching a little boy of 7 years ( I guess ) a simple oil pastel scenery having colorful leaves instead of green ones - she was using orange , purple , pink with red and yellow.

The boy couldn’t take it and that’s how their conversation went -

“There shouldn’t be any colors madam- they are supposed to be green only”

“Haven’t you seen pictures of plants and trees that grow in foreign countries ? Leaves exist in so many shades and colors !” “Oh Poor them ! How quickly they are meant to die.”

“Why so you think?”

“I study hard. I have learned that green means chlorophyll and that’s the substance by which plants makes their food. No green means no food and no food means the plant dies.”

All started laughing and probably forgot about it but I am still awake concluding I don’t know just what.
