date night
noahecarson:
Eight o’clock, he had just gotten home from work at nearly seven due to the stupid traffic and now he was in a bit of a panic because he only had an hour left to get ready. An hour wasn’t nearly enough time for him and as Noah showered, he found himself to be caught in a cliche of a dilemma: what to wear. He’s pretty sure Kieran has seen him in everything he has and technically without anything as well; he has to be careful to keep those particularly ‘not safe for work’ thoughts at bay because he definitely doesn’t have time for that.
He barely has his pants on and is throwing every shirt left and right when his doorbell rings. Noah slips on a light blue button up, hoping it’s suitable enough and he’s racing to the front of his place to open the door. “You’re early.” He chuckled, though with a quick glance to his watch, Kieran is actually right on time. Of course he is, Noah isn’t too surprised though. “Am I dressed okay? Or do I need to change?”
When Noah actually agreed to his date proposal, a part of him of course was extremely excited but the other part was nervous as hell. He didn’t really plan much, but he knew first dates were usually used to get to know somebody. He already knew Noah really well, so maybe he should do something to show how much he appreciates the other or how much he already values him? So he planned a little something at his place, that hopefully the other would like. Kieran arrived at Noah’s door right on time, and smiled widely when he saw the other in a blue button down. He laughed at his next words. He didn’t think Noah was the type of guy who would bother with that stuff because he always looked good. “You look fantastic,” he replied with a gentle smile. “You don’t need to worry about looking good, Noah.” He motioned in the direction of the car. “C’mon I’m out front.”

The couple arrived at Kieran’s place and the owner opened up the door, pushing it open with his hip. “Well, I know you’ve been here a couple times, but we’re out on the balcony.” He motioned outside. He had made some of Noah’s favorites. He hadn’t quite had as much time as he hoped to prepare, but he had enough to prepare a nice enough meal for the both o them. Kieran had remembered all their car rides together to different crime scenes and in passing, he had learned a lot obout Noah’s taste in food. Kieran wasn’t a master chef or anything, but he knew his way around a kitchen enough to cook a good meal. The balcony was decked out with lights around the edge, and candle in the middle of the balcony table. He tried making it romantic, but all he really had was christmas lights and some old candles someone gave him as a housewarming gift. He hoped it was enough for Noah. “well, um, yeah, here’s our dinner!” He exclaimed hesitantly motioning to the food on the balcony. “It’s um your favorites I think. Sorry if I didn’t make it right.”
