!!This is one of MY personal interpretation of Jane/is an AU version of Jane Everlasting! Please respect that!! This version of Everlasting combines elements of both the OG Arkensaw story and the Richardson story. THESE TWO ARE SEPRATE CHARACTERS. 🖤Jane's full name is Janessa

🖤She was never Jeff’s next-door neighbour, but they did live in the same neighbourhood, possibly a few blocks apart 

🖤Jane never exactly had a great relationship with her parents, who treated her as if she were invisible, but she still loved them, trying to make them proud

🖤The night Jeff killed her family, she was at her grandparents' house

🖤She returned to the sight of her childhood home bursting into flames 

🖤Jane was traumatized and was placed in therapy to help her

🖤However, her therapist was an undercover agent for the group responsible of the creation of liquid hate 

🖤She was lured in and lied to, made to believe that this was just a part of her therapy, while her grief and anger were exploited 

🖤They groomed her into the perfect soldier, corrupting her both mentally and physically, forcing her to do their dirty work and get blood on her hands

🖤Her skin still had its natural color, her hair and eyes were turned completely black, veins protruding from her flesh like twisted spider webs

🖤Working for the organization made her find a sick, twisted comfort/joy in spilling blood and taking lives, and she hated it

🖤But she just couldn’t stop, it was addictive, and she’s manipulated herself into believing that she was doing something “right,” that it was some kind of justice to help herself cope 

🖤Her feelings towards Jeff are complicated. On one hand, she despises him for what he did 🖤On the other… she can’t help but admire him for what he’s turned her into 

🖤It bordered on obsession, with the killer always being at the back of her mind

Hi I really like your takes on things and wanted to know ask for some advice. If someone was to rewrite (like FULLY do a rewrite without taking stuff from other stories) a creepypasta, what would you say the main focuses should be and what you shouldn’t focus on? @killerlittlerejects

Aww, Anon, that means a lot! I'm honored you want my opinion! 💓

But let me think so, you want to do a complete rehaul on a Creepypasta Character but without taking from other stories or separate from the OG?

I'll try my best to give my advice and use my remake of Clockwork - Natalie Escoffier for the example :]

Focus Should Be:

The Theme/Shtick: So luckily, with ths CrP Cast, they have a lot of themes going around with them. Nina has the fangirlism, Clockwork has time, Bloody Painter has art. These characters give you a theme/thing that you can work with and integrate better into the stories than the OG Creators ever did.

For instance, with my Remake of Clockwork, I made the Theme of Time be something she resented as a Child Star/Pangeant Queen. She heard "Your Time is Up" constantly from stage moms and producers/judges who never wanted to hear from her and that was the start of the resentment and the build up to her taking back the phrase.

These characters DO give you something it's just your innovative brain that has to figure out what direction to take it

The Character's Internal Struggles: This is big and something I feel CrP Origin Stories lacked in the day. What is the internal struggle. They can have odds and elements stacked against them but what is that thing in their head that whispers to them as they sleep that fucks them up. That usually has to connect to the theme in some way.

Back to my Remake of Clockwork, her internal struggle was being "seen" or "given the time of day". She had to be the Breadwinner of the Family - Time was only for others, and she couldn't voice herself because then time was up and she had to move on to something else. She was an exhausted child star. And that added to the theme of time being against her because no matter what she did she just never could be in time for HER wants. And it bites her in the ass in the end.

You want your characters to have a relatability and the remake to not be a new way to torture the character. You want to have nuance with it and make the struggle something in their head beyond the CrP Stereotypical Schizophrenia shtick we used to see. So many peoples' aren't universal but are semi realistic so you just have to look within.

The End Piece: You can consider this the snapping point or after math, but what prompts the characters to never come back or recover from everything they dealt with. It was building up the internal struggles were not being helped, and no matter how hard the character tried, people didn't help fast enough or care enough, so what was the point of no recovery? Where the story of sorrow becomes a tragedy you can't fix?

For Clockwork and actually for a lot of my Remakes I had the snapping point be missed opportunity. Clockwork in my Remake wanted to go to college so badly. She was depressed and stressed and wanted so badly to go to college escape and BE normal. But the college deadlines are over, that time is up, and she learns all that money she made as a child star was frittered away by her parents. She went through it all for nothing and she shuts down and leaving them thinking everything is fine but hunting them down and killing them for taking her time away when they're vulnerable. Her mother took her childhood away. Her father took her future away. Her brother took her innocence away. They took her time so she took theirs but it doesn't leave her happy because at the end of the day she lost that time to have been in college and experiencing life normally away.

I gotta emphasize that for ME, I ALWAYS saw Creepypasta Characters as tragedies/tragic. You SHOULD NOT envy them or think they're cool you should learn from them and be kinder because there are people like Clockwork royally screwed over in the world who deserve better. They just don't get that.

So you should include elements that reflect that message since your intention will show in your work.

You Should Not Focus On:

Winking at Nostalgia: If anyone wanted to reread the OG CrP Story they'd just go read it. You don't need to match your Remake to the OG Version. They can look similar and act the same, but circumstances can be different, and you shouldn't feel like you should cling to Nostalgia. People cling to nostalgia because that slop is familiar and comforting. You don't need to do that the freedom of rewrites is YOU are making the new nostalgic memory for others. You just have to put the effort in.

Trying to Match the OG's Beats: I don't know if you noticed but my Remake of Clockwork doesn't actually match the OG Story's Beats too much and that's intentional. You DO NOT need that when rewriting the story. I honestly forgot bits of the OG Story and implemented my ideas instead and you can do it like that and make something unique. You don't need to be loyal to a piece that didn't really give much to begin with.

Rewriting with an Agenda: I've seen people rewrite CrP Characters just be depraved/spiteful. Your intention BLEEDS into your work. I'm not joking when I say what you put out there reflects who you are a bit. If you're doing these rewrites look inwards and ask yourself your intention with these characters and the message you want people to take. As long as you're conscious of that you could make a great remake.

But at least this was my approach with my Remakes and writings. I hope it helps but if not just let me know and I hope I can help out in any other way! :)

Excuse the discord style rambling, BUT I have been thinking about doing my own Jane rewrite— as in a rewrite where I attempt to do something completely different from Richardson and Arkensaw!

I have seen a few people do this/have spoken about this and I wanted to give it a try.

Again, these are just concept ideas so far, but I would love to hear what people think if they have some thoughts!

idk why some people in the Creepypasta fandom are so fucking obsessed with making the characters pedophiles, rapists, and even writing INCEST about the characters. I keep seeing blogs that write about incest between the Creepypastas, I understand the point of writing is to express yourself and what you like but it is absolutely disgusting to see those kind of fics.

and I know some people are going to be like “don’t like dont read” and I get that but that shouldn’t excuse the incest and pedophile fanfics. I 100% believe that what you write shows how you think and feel about certain stuff—so seeing people write those kind of fanfictions is absolutely fucking disgusting and you should be disgusted with yourself, because why are you so drawn to writing incest? There is so no reason for you to be writing about incest between characters (I just saw a blog that is called the-woodcest-guy and he writes NSFW INCEST ABOUT JEFF AND LIU, I blocked him)

it’s also especially worse when people write characters that ARENT related to be related in order to write incest fanfics. For example, dad Tim wright and son Tobias Rodgers, I SAW A DRABBLE WITH THIS! And it is absolutely disgusting and you’re disgusting.

Can we like open our eyes and stop normalizing SA, non-consensual physical contact, and rape in the creepypasta community?

It's truly terrifying to see people supporting this kind of thing, whether consciously or not, encouraging more people to do the same. It's disgusting to see people applauding and gooning in the comments for artists who feed their audiences with content like this, while also normalizing this behavior, showing that the community supports rapists and abusers.

Yes, the characters are murderers, they're crazy, they can kick your ass. But they're not assaulters or rapists. It makes me incredibly uncomfortable to see my comfort character portrayed as an abuser, and it's becoming more and more common...

If we continue to support this kind of content, the entire fandom will become an even bigger shithole than it already is.

Nina Hopkins Headcanons

New stuff is coming tomorrow, but I wanted to give a little treat first! So here are a couple headcanons for my rewrite of Nina Hopkins! AKA The OG copycat killer. May be another revised lore instead of pure headcanons again, though.

!!This is MY personal interpretation of Nina Hopkins! Please respect that!!

Warnings for issues with mental illness and bodily harm.

💝Nina is fifteen, not eleven 

💝Claudia and her friends are two years older than her

💝She had some previous run-ins with them before, but it escalated when she entered tenth grade

💝She’s always had a fascination with death, as her father was a mortician

💝He used to let her come to work with him before the divorce happened, and he vanished from their lives 

💝Nina was very young when this happened and has a hard time remembering her father’s face 

💝She’s half Latino (fathers side), half European (mothers side), and speaks fluently in Spanish and French 

💝She is NOT in love with Jeff, just admires and is obsessed with him

💝Think of it more like she wants to be like him / BE him 

💝Nina views him more as a mentor/older brother figure

💝She is a Scorpio, she was born on October 31st 

💝Nina developed psychosis around the time she turned fifteen, which would later develop into schizophrenia 

💝To this day, she’s unsure if Jeff was there to help her burn herself or if he was just another one of her hallucinations 

💝She instantly developed a hatred/rivalry with Jane during her first encounter with her when she was seventeen 

💝They’ve hated each other ever since 

💝Nina also has a rivalry with Clockwork, but they act more as frenemies than anything else 

💝She tired to sew her eyelids open, it didn’t work

💝She now has small x like scars at the ends of them, and they can be very sensitive 

💝She has multiple back up ribbons 

💝She sounds a lot like Baby Firefly from House Of 1000 Corpses

Hey guys, sorry I haven’t been on here in awhile.

Creepypasta isn’t really my main hyperfixation at the moment admittedly, but I DO have an idea I want to share.

I’ve been considering the idea of making a creepypasta 80s AU. I’ve currently been calling it Walk The Night, or its joke title That One 80’s Show (though it probably should be ‘That One 80’s Case instead lol). The idea’s gotten spark again because of my interest in the 80’s music scene.

Because of that, I think the main theme of this AU would be how the glamorization of things can do more harm than good. The glamorization of drugs or alcohol, of people… and even of murder itself.

Haven’t developed any plot yet, only that Liu’s FC is Jon Bon Jovi lol. But I would love to know people’s thoughts!

Warnings for mentions of past abuse and gunshot injuries. Also note that I am going to be referring to Killing Kate as Katie so there's no confusion regarding who's who.

🥀Oh, this two DEFINITLY did not get off on the right foot

🥀In fact, I think it would be safe to say that these two DESPISED each other when they first met

🥀The two of them left their first interaction with the thought "this fucking bitch"

🥀They both believed that the other was too cocky for their own good

🥀Kate was pissed off by the fact that Katie viewed Slender as their savior instead of a captor

🥀Katie in turn saw Kate's silence/lack of words as disrespectful and egotistical

🥀But I think her anger also stemmed from the fact that Kate intimated her, and that frustrated her to no end

🥀It was a large source of shame during those times, and it lead to almost every interaction between the two ending in a brawl that the other pastas/proxies had to step in and break up

🥀However, things finally take a turn when even SLENDER gets fed up with their rivalry and forces the two of them to go on a mission together

🥀Things of course don't go as planned because these two can't stop and communicate, and the end result is Katie being stuck in the woods with a injured kate (who has a bullet lodged in her shoulder) hiding from the cops

🥀The two of them are forced to actually TALK while Katie does her best to play nurse for the time being, and as things like this go, the vulnerable stuff eventually comes out

🥀Katie confesses to Kate about her past, explaining why she'd chose the life she has now over the one she did before any day

🥀She also essentially tells her she'd take a eldritch fuck in the trees that actually treats her like she's somebody rather than her piece of shit sperm donor who beat his kids for existing any day

🥀 Kate in turn opens up about her own past, telling Katie exactly why she could never see Slender as her savior like she did

🥀 She HAD a life she liked even if it was hard sometimes, had people she loved

🥀 And it was all ripped away from her because was curious and tried to help, now being forced to work for the monster that had killed her friends

🥀 Things between them are not immediately fixed, but they come out of it with a better understanding of each other and are able to successfully complete the mission 🥀 I'm telling you now, this is the most SLOWEST FURSTRATING SLOW BURN EVER

🥀 Neither of them want to admit that they like each other, but everyone else can see it as clear as day and it's annoying as shit

🥀 Kate is the one that finally cracks and confesses after EJ slaps (more like gives firm yet gentle advice but he DID playfully smack the back of her head) some sense into her

🥀 You would think that they would be the 'only affectionate in private couple' with how they were before with each other but NOPE

🥀 They have to be somehow touching each other at all times when they are near one another

🥀 Kate is one of the only people Katie has allowed to see the scar on her neck, and she loves it when Kate will gently press kisses against it when they wake up in the mornings 🥀 Katie in turn loves to press kisses against Kate's burn scars when she actually takes her hoodie off, as well as gently circle the beauty mark Kate has on her cheek when she's laying her head in her lap

🥀 Kate in turn loves resting her head in Katie's lap because she loves the feeling of her brushing her fingers through her hair

🥀 Kate doesn't usually pick flowers, but she's started doing it ever since she started dating Katie and likes to give ones that reminder her of her/ones she think's she'll like back as gifts for her 🥀 Katie in turn has grown more of an appreciation for nature and quiet because of her more introverted preferring these spaces for their dates

🥀 But Kate will allow Katie to take her to the bar or some kind of party for a date a few times, and she's come out of that with the realization that she REALLY likes rum 🥀 It's hard to believe, but dating Kate has made Katie learn SOME patience and calmed her down a bit... not by a lot by still a little

🥀 Katie's nickname for Kate is Sugar, and Kate is always flustered by it

🥀 She claims it is because Kate looks like a sugar glider (someone see the vision please)

🥀 I like to think the third image in the header is an actual cute photo of the Kate's that Nina managed to take the morning after a particularly wild night
