Deathwatch vs Orks on a very twee Imperial world for an inaugural game of Kill Team!

Evening all, first game of kill team for my buddy tonight using a new Dark Angels idea I've had that I'll explain another time (watch this space) against his deathwatch. Didn't play a mission type or objectives just played kill everything before everything dies. By turn three he only has two flesh wounds taken on his leader and frag cannon dude I was still at full strength. Then the mighty turn four I gained initiative and took out 4 of his 6 including his leader but his frag cannon was in auto hit range and my dark angels dropped like flies leaving only 3 guys left. With some cleaver moves he managed to hide his frag cannon a way from my heavy bolter but still visible. With 3 consecutive rolls of a six he fell leaving and his comms specialist died to bolter fire straight after leaving just a regular veteran on the opposite side of the field so we called it. Next game is planned for later in the week where his tau or deathwatch will facing my primaris if they ever fuking turn up or my Death Guard. I'll hopefully make some notes of that game and do a more detailed battle report with photos.

Right folks, I've finally decided on a paint scheme for my death guard.

Created some fluff behind it as well that I'll post another time but the gist of it is that I have 2 chaos (Nurgle) kill teams and one death guard all will have the same paint scheme and the fluff expands from there. Also there is currently 8 kill teams I am doing the genestealer cult needs building and the blood ravens I'm getting Thursday. But here in lies a problem for me I am getting primaris marines and if you follow my other blogs you'll see I'm not a fan of them at all. But the blood ravens are what i want to use competitively and from the games I've played already primaris teamed with scouts works really well. So we'll see

Release Day

So its 28th July 2018 and release day for the new kill team box set. I'm collecting mine in a few hours with a friend who is splitting the box with me then I'll post some pics.
