hi...
Hi everyone (≧▽≦)/ I hope you’re all doing well! I wanted to make a little announcement: I’ll be going on hiatus for a while . And that's because I’m currently preparing for my college entrance exams, and they’re coming up really soon (ahhh the stress). It’s super important for me to focus on studying right now, so I won’t be able to update or write new Killua x Reader fics for the time being.
Honestly, it makes me really sad because writing and sharing these stories with you all has been such a huge source of joy for me. Reading all your sweet comments and seeing how much you enjoy the fics truly motivates me every day. But I know this is something I need to do, so I can hopefully pass the exams and move on to the next chapter of life!
I’ll definitely be back once the tests are over and if I have time to write. Thank you all so much for your patience, understanding, and endless support — it truly means more to me than words can say. Please take care of yourselves, and I’ll see you all again soon! ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧
a/n: this was a request from @lunavellda , enjoy the angst yess

“You Never Had Time For Me”
The sun dipped low over the horizon, casting golden hues over the courtyard where you stood, laughing softly with your childhood friend. He had just gotten back from a long journey with his family, and like clockwork, you'd spent the last few days catching up with him, lost in nostalgia and shared memories.
But you hadn’t noticed the white-haired boy watching from a distance, eyes narrowed, fists clenched.
Killua had been waiting.
Waiting for you to call. Waiting for you to ask him to hang out. Waiting for you to look his way.
But you never did.
He’d never admit it aloud, but ever since you met your childhood friend again, Killua had felt something ugly stir in his chest. Something sharp and unfamiliar. He hated it.
He hated the way your smile looked softer around your childhood friend.
He hated that your attention drifted every time Killua tried to talk to you lately.
And right now, he hated that your childhood friend was touching your arm like he had the right to.
Killua didn’t remember walking over, but suddenly he was there, his voice cold and flat.
“Are you done?”
You turned, confused. “Killua?”
“I’ve been looking for you all day,” he said, trying to keep his voice even, but it cracked anyway. “You’ve been ignoring me.”
Your smile faltered. “I haven’t— I was just with (childhood friend's name). He’s only here for a few more days.”
“I know,” Killua snapped, stepping closer. “And I’m sick of hearing about him every time I try to talk to you.”
You blinked, startled. “Killua—why are you acting like this?”
“Because you never have time for me anymore!” His voice rose without meaning to. “Every time I want to see you, you’re already with him. Laughing. Smiling. Like I don’t even matter.”
The silence that followed was heavy.
“…You do matter,” you said quietly.
“Doesn’t feel like it.”
Your heart stung. “Killua, he’s just a friend—”
“Yeah? So what am I?” he cut in, his tone bitter. “Some disposable second choice?”
“That’s not fair—!”
“No, what’s not fair is watching you light up for someone else while I feel like I’m disappearing right in front of you.”
The words cut deeper than you expected. Killua’s shoulders trembled slightly, but he looked away before you could see if there were tears in his eyes.
“I should’ve known better than to think you’d stay,” he muttered.
And just like that, he turned his back.
“Killua—wait!”
But he was already walking away.
And this time… you didn’t chase him.

“This Isn’t What It Looks Like!!”
The soft flicker of candlelight danced on the wooden walls of the small inn room, casting shadows as the rain drummed gently against the window. You were curled up beneath a thick blanket, snuggled against Killua’s chest, your head tucked under his chin.
He had one arm lazily wrapped around you, his other hand idly playing with your fingers, his cheeks faintly pink but relaxed.
“…Comfy?” he asked quietly, his voice a low whisper in the stillness.
You nodded, smiling into his hoodie. “Yeah. Warm. You?”
“Tch. I’m fine. Not like I needed this or anything,” he mumbled, pulling you even closer.
You giggled, your heart fluttering. Killua had gotten better at showing affection, but moments like this—where he willingly cuddled you and even held you close—were rare and precious.
That is, until—
BAM!
The door slammed open.
“GUYS, THE STORM LET UP! I THINK I SAW A DOUBLE RAINB—”
Gon stopped mid-sentence. Eyes wide. Mouth open. Absolutely stunned.
You and Killua froze. Still tangled. Still cuddling.
Still under one blanket.
Killua’s face went bright red.
“GON!! WHAT THE HELL?! KNOCK FIRST!!” he shouted, scrambling to yank the blanket over both your heads as if that would undo reality.
You squeaked and tried to untangle yourself, but the movement only made it look worse.
Gon blinked. “Are you… cuddling?”
Killua popped his head out of the blanket, hair a static mess, cheeks burning. “NO—YES—I MEAN—SHUT UP, GON!”
You covered your face. “This is so embarrassing…”
Gon tilted his head, completely unfazed. “Aww! That’s adorable!”
Killua’s eye twitched. “GET OUT!”
Gon blinked. “But I was gonna tell you about the rainb—”
“OUT!!!”
With a sheepish smile, Gon backed away. “Okay, okay! Geez. Enjoy your cuddles!”
The door closed.
Silence.
Killua groaned into his hands. “I’m never recovering from this.”
You let out a giggle. “That wasn’t that bad.”
He turned to you, still flushed. “…We’re locking the door next time.”
And despite the embarrassment, he tucked you back under the blanket, holding you tighter—because deep down, even if Gon saw, Killua didn’t really mind being close to you.
Not at all.

A day in whales island
The salty sea breeze tickled your face as you stood on the docks of Whale Island, watching the gentle waves lap against the wooden planks. The air smelled fresh, mixed with hints of pine from the forest behind you. It was peaceful here—so different from the loud and chaotic places you, Gon, and Killua had traveled to before.
"This place is amazing," you murmured, glancing at Gon, who stood beside you with a bright grin. His eyes sparkled, full of excitement, as he held his fishing rod in one hand.
"I'm glad you like it!" Gon beamed. "It's even better when you're out on the water. Come on, let's fish!"
"You guys are seriously going fishing first thing in the morning?" Killua's voice drawled from behind, arms crossed as he leaned lazily against the dock railing. "We could’ve at least eaten breakfast first."
You laughed, already used to Killua’s grumbling. "We’ll eat after. Right, Gon?"
"Yeah!" Gon nodded eagerly. "Besides, I really want to show you how to catch the best fish around here. Aunt Mito will cook them for us later!"
Without wasting time, Gon hopped into the small wooden boat tied to the dock, holding out a hand to help you in. You took it, stepping in carefully as the boat wobbled slightly. Killua, still standing on the dock, let out a loud sigh.
"Guess I have no choice," he muttered, reluctantly getting in after you.
Gon rowed the boat a bit farther from the shore, finding the perfect fishing spot. The water was clear, reflecting the sky like a giant mirror. He handed you a fishing rod, eyes gleaming with enthusiasm.
"Okay, just cast your line like this—" Gon demonstrated, his movements smooth and practiced. You tried to copy him, though your cast wasn’t nearly as graceful. Still, Gon nodded approvingly. "That was great!"
Killua, sitting at the other end of the boat, rolled his eyes. "You’re just saying that because you like her."
You felt heat rush to your face. "W-What?"
Gon tilted his head in confusion. "Huh? But I do like her. That’s why I invited her here."
Killua groaned, facepalming. "No, Gon, I mean—ugh, never mind. Just keep fishing."
You bit your lip, trying to hide a smile. It was obvious to you now—Killua was definitely third-wheeling, and he hated it.
For a while, the three of you sat in peaceful silence, the only sounds being the gentle splash of the water and the occasional call of seabirds. Then, suddenly—
"I got something!" You felt a sharp tug on your fishing line, your hands tightening around the rod as you tried to reel it in.
"Whoa, that one's big!" Gon leaned closer, watching eagerly. "You can do it, y/n!"
Killua, still sitting at the other end of the boat, sighed. "This is so unfair. When I fish, I don’t get this much encouragement."
"You don’t even like fishing," you pointed out, grinning as you continued struggling with the fish.
Gon laughed. "Yeah, you always say it’s boring, Killua!"
"That’s not the point!" Killua huffed. "The point is that I’m third-wheeling here, and I don’t like it."
I hope you like it! Let me know if you want any changes or extra details!
You and Gon exchanged amused glances before bursting into laughter. Even as you finally reeled in your fish—an impressive catch, according to Gon—you couldn’t stop smiling.
Sure, Killua was grumpy about being left out, but deep down, you knew he didn’t really mind. In the end, you were all together, just like always.
And that was what mattered most.

Valentine's Day with Killua
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷
The bustling city was filled with couples walking hand in hand, holding chocolates and flowers. Valentine’s Day had never been a big deal for you—until Killua.
You hadn't expected much from him today. Not because he didn’t care, but because you knew he wasn’t the overly romantic type. Killua wasn’t the kind of guy to go around shouting his love for you to the world. But he had his own way of showing it, in the little things—the way he always walked on the outer side of the sidewalk to keep you safe, the way he instinctively reached for your hand in a crowded place, the way he let you steal his ChocoRobots even when he complained about it.
That’s why, when Killua showed up at your door looking uncharacteristically nervous, you were surprised. He had his hands stuffed into his hoodie pockets, avoiding your gaze as he muttered, “Come with me.”
Curious, you followed him through the city, winding past street vendors selling heart-shaped balloons and cafes filled with couples. Eventually, you reached a quiet hill overlooking the city, far away from the crowds. A blanket was laid out, along with a small box of chocolates and two cans of soda.
“You… did this?” you asked, blinking in surprise.
Killua rubbed the back of his neck. “Tch. Don’t look at me like that. It’s not a big deal,” he grumbled, sitting down and patting the spot next to him. “I just figured you wouldn’t want to be stuck in some crowded restaurant with a bunch of people being all… gross.”
You sat down beside him, warmth blooming in your chest. “You’re kinda romantic, y’know.”
Killua made a face. “Ugh, don’t say that.” But despite his words, his ears turned red.
You giggled, leaning against him as the city lights twinkled below. “Thank you, Killua. This is perfect.”
He huffed, pretending to be unaffected, but his hand found yours, fingers intertwining. “Yeah, well… don’t get used to it.”
But you knew better. Because even if he grumbled about it, he’d do a hundred more things like this for you—just in his own Killua way.

Sweet Exceptions
“Race you guys to the store!” Gon announced, already taking off.
“Gon, that’s not fair!” you laughed, chasing after him.
Killua smirked. “Hah. Like either of you can outrun me.” In a blink, he dashed ahead, leaving both you and Gon in the dust.
By the time you made it to the store, Killua was already standing in the snack aisle, grinning victoriously.
“You guys are so slow,” he teased.
Gon pouted, but you ignored him, eyes scanning the shelves for your target.
ChocoRobots.
Ever since you met Killua, you had developed a habit of eating them, too. The sweet, crunchy treat had quickly become one of your favorites, much to Killua’s delight (and occasional annoyance when you stole one from him).
“There!” you pointed, spotting a familiar blue-and-yellow package.
But the excitement was short-lived.
There was only one left.
You and Killua locked eyes, then looked at the package. Then back at each other.
The tension was real.
Gon, sensing the impending standoff, slowly stepped back. “Uh… should I—?”
Before he could finish, you let out a small sigh and grabbed the package, then—
You handed it to Killua.
He blinked. “Huh?”
“You can have it,” you said with a small smile. “You love them more than I do.”
Killua stared at you, clearly stunned. He was many things—an assassin, a prodigy, the fastest person you knew—but speechless? That was rare.
“…Tch.” He took the package, tearing it open in one smooth motion.
You expected him to immediately start eating, but instead, he glanced at you as you continued to stare at the chocolate treats in his hand.
You weren’t doing it on purpose. Really.
It was just that he was so smug about getting the last pack, and now he was enjoying it right in front of you, and—
Killua let out an exaggerated sigh. “You’re so annoying.”
Before you could respond, he picked up a ChocoRobot and held it out toward you.
Your eyes widened. “Wait… really?”
“Just take it before I change my mind.”
You grinned and took the piece, popping it into your mouth. It tasted even better than usual.
Gon, who had been watching the whole exchange, suddenly whined. “No fair! You never share with me, Killua!”
Killua smirked, stuffing another piece into his mouth. “Yeah, well, Y/n’s different.”
Your heart skipped a beat.
Gon gasped dramatically. “Are you saying I’m not special?”
Killua rolled his eyes. “You’re special in the way an annoying little brother is special.”
You just laughed, happily munching on your ChocoRobot, while Killua pretended not to notice the smile on your face.
Maybe ChocoRobots weren’t the only sweet thing here.

Killua x reader !
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Endless journeys, endless us.
The world was vast—far too vast to stay in one place for too long.
That’s what Killua had told you when he first asked, "Wanna come with me?" His silver hair was tousled by the wind, his blue eyes glinting with the thrill of freedom. "Alluka and I are gonna see everything. It’d be cool if you came too."
And, of course, you said yes.
Now, here you were—running through cobblestone streets in a foreign country, your laughter mixing with Alluka’s as Killua grumbled behind you.
"Quit running ahead! We don’t even know where we’re going!" Killua called, stuffing his hands into his pockets as he jogged after you.
"That’s the fun part!" Alluka beamed, spinning around to face him. "Besides, y/n and I are just checking out the cute little shops!"
Killua sighed but didn’t argue, because deep down, he liked seeing you both happy. He’d never admit it outright, but the way his lips twitched upward was enough for you to notice.
Every day was something new. One day, you were hiking through misty mountains, Killua teasing you for getting tired too fast. The next, you were on a sunny beach, Alluka building sandcastles while Killua lounged in the shade. Sometimes, you found yourselves in bustling cities, tasting street food while Killua stole bites from your plate with a smirk.
And at night, under countless different skies, you’d sit together, trading stories, laughing, feeling the world move beneath you.
One evening, as you watched the sunset over an unfamiliar horizon, Killua sat beside you, unusually quiet.
"You ever think about stopping?" you asked, glancing at him.
He tilted his head. "What, like settling down somewhere?"
"Yeah."
He was silent for a moment, then leaned back on his palms. "Maybe someday. But not yet." His gaze flickered to you, something soft in his expression. "As long as you’re here, I don’t really care where we go."
Your heart skipped a beat, and Alluka, who had been listening the whole time, giggled. "Ooooh! Killua, that was kinda romantic!"
Killua immediately flushed, scowling. "Sh-Shut up, Alluka!"
You just laughed, nudging him playfully. "Guess we’ll just have to keep traveling forever then."
Killua smirked, eyes glinting with mischief. "Fine by me."
And so, with the world ahead and the people you cared about beside you, you kept moving—one adventure at a time.

Unspoken feelings
The sun had begun its slow descent, casting golden light over the open training field. The air buzzed with energy as you stood across from Killua, fists clenched, body aching from hours of sparring.
“Give up yet?” Killua smirked, wiping a trickle of sweat from his temple.
You scoffed, rolling your shoulders. “Not a chance.”
Nearby, Gon sat cross-legged on the grass, watching with an eager grin. “You guys always fight really hard! It’s kinda fun to watch.”
Bisky, who had been observing from a nearby rock, let out an exaggerated sigh. “Fun isn’t the word I’d use. Painful is more like it.”
You and Killua turned to her, puzzled.
“Painful?” you repeated.
Bisky smirked, polishing her nails. “Oh, don’t play dumb. The tension between you two is ridiculous.”
Killua groaned, running a hand through his hair. “Not this again.”
Gon tilted his head, blinking in confusion. “Tension? What do you mean?”
Bisky grinned mischievously. “Come on, Gon. Even you must have noticed. The way these two are always competing, always staring each other down, always bickering like an old married couple.”
You felt heat rush to your face. “We do not—”
“Oh! I kinda see what you mean,” Gon cut in, nodding in realization. “You and Killua are always focused on each other, even when we’re not training. And sometimes, you guys just stand there, staring at each other, but then one of you looks away really fast!”
Killua choked on his own breath. “We do not do that!”
“Yeah, you do!” Gon said enthusiastically. “Like yesterday, when we were fishing, and you were watching y/n instead of the water—”
Killua immediately clamped a hand over Gon’s mouth, his face bright red. “Gon, shut up!”
You covered your own face with your hands, mortified beyond belief.
Bisky let out a satisfied hum. “See? Even Gon noticed. And he’s as dense as a brick.”
Gon mumbled something against Killua’s hand, and when Killua reluctantly let him go, he grinned. “I think you guys like each other.”
Killua groaned loudly, dragging a hand down his face. “I’m leaving. I can’t do this.”
You, on the other hand, were too busy trying to will yourself into the earth.
✩*⢄⢁✧ --------- ✧⡈⡠*✩
That night, you sat on a grassy hill overlooking the sea, hugging your knees to your chest. Bisky’s words echoed in your mind. 'You’re really gonna let him leave without saying anything?'
You groaned, burying your face in your arms.
“You look miserable.”
You jumped, turning to find Killua standing behind you, hands shoved in his pockets, his usual smirk in place.
“I wouldn’t be if people stopped sneaking up on me,” you grumbled.
He sat beside you, stretching his legs out in front of him. “So, what’s up? Feeling guilty about losing to me earlier?”
You shot him a glare, but your heart wasn’t in it. “Not everything is about competition, you know.”
Killua snorted. “Since when?”
Silence settled between you, the sound of waves crashing against the shore filling the space.
Then, after a moment, Killua spoke again.
“You’re really upset about me leaving, huh?”
You hesitated before answering. “…Yeah.”
Killua glanced at you, his expression softer than usual. “I mean, I’m coming back. It’s not like I’m disappearing forever.”
You exhaled, gripping the grass beneath your fingers. “I know. But… training and collecting spell cards won’t be the same without you.”
Killua didn’t respond right away. Then, to your surprise, he let out a small chuckle. “You’re really bad at this, you know.”
You frowned. “At what?”
He turned to face you fully, his smirk fading into something more genuine. “At hiding how much you like me.”
Your heart stopped. “I—”
But before you could stammer out a response, Killua reached over and flicked your forehead lightly, a teasing glint in his eyes. “Took you long enough to admit it.”
You blinked, shocked. “Wait—so you—?”
Killua shrugged, looking away. “Yeah. I wasn’t gonna say anything, though. Figured you’d come around eventually.”
You punched his arm, but warmth bloomed in your chest. “You’re insufferable.”
“And you’re predictable,” he teased.
Despite the bickering, something had changed. The tension, the rivalry, the unspoken feelings—they were finally out in the open.
And when you returned to Bisky the next morning, slightly red-faced but grinning, she took one look at you and smirked.
“Good results?”
You nodded.
Gon, as cheerful as ever, beamed. “I knew it!”
Bisky laughed, folding her arms. “Took you both long enough.”
End.

LIKE CAN U IMAGINE THEM COMPETING OVER WHO CAN HAVE MORE DEFEATED COMPETITORS and who is better at nen !!! AND THEN THEY SUDDENLY BOND MORE DURING THE TIME THEY GET TAUGHT UNDER WING EHHE.. JUST A THOUGHT 😁😁
A/n: Hi iceee (≧▽≦), thank you sososo much for requesting !! I hope the story is up to your expectations 🫶🫶
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
More than rivals
The 200th floor of Heavens Arena was your battlefield, and Killua Zoldyck was your biggest obstacle.
From the moment you met him, it had been a competition.
Who had the most wins, who defeated opponents faster, who was better at dodging attacks—the list went on. And, of course, who could piss the other off more.
“You’re keeping track, right?” Killua asked the second you stepped out of the arena, another victory under your belt.
You wiped some sweat from your brow. “Obviously. 24 wins now.”
He smirked. "Still one behind me."
Your eye twitched.
But when you both reached the 200th floor, things changed.
The fighters here were different—stronger, more calculated. There was something in the air, something unseen.
Then came Hisoka.
“You two are interesting,” he had mused, his eerie smile never fading. “But unfortunately… unrefined.”
And then came Wing.
# Learning about Nen
"You both have talent," Wing said, arms crossed. "But raw talent alone won’t take you further. If you want to survive here, you need to learn Nen."
Killua leaned forward, intrigued. "Nen?"
You frowned. "What's that?"
Wing only smiled. "Something far beyond your current abilities."
You hated how Killua’s eyes lit up like this was a game.
And you hated even more that you felt the exact same way.
But Nen training? It was brutal.
Controlling aura, maintaining Ren, focusing energy—everything felt unnatural. And the worst part?
Training with Killua.
Whenever you struggled, he was there.
"Wow, you suck at this," he teased when your aura flickered out.
Your glare could've burned through a wall. "I don’t see you doing any better!"
Killua smirked and immediately stabilized his Ren.
…Smug little—
"You’re just jealous I’m a natural."
"Jealous?! Oh, you’re dead."
And that was the moment Gon had to physically get between you.
"Guys, calm down!" he laughed nervously, holding up his hands. "We’re supposed to be learning!"
You and Killua exchanged heated glares but begrudgingly backed off.
"Fine," you muttered.
Killua rolled his eyes. "Tch. Whatever."
But despite the constant arguing, something shifted.
Training together made you better.
Killua’s raw instincts and speed pushed you forward.
Your strategy and endurance forced him to slow down and think.
Somewhere between the competition, the bickering, and Gon constantly playing peacemaker, the rivalry started to feel… different.
And then, one night—after a particularly exhausting session—you both found yourselves on the rooftop of Heavens Arena, the city lights flickering below.
The usual bickering had faded into silence.
For once, Killua wasn’t making some snarky comment. Instead, he glanced at you, looking almost hesitant.
"You, uh…" He scratched his cheek, looking away. "You're not bad."
You blinked. "What?"
His expression immediately soured. "Tch. Forget it."
Oh.
Oh, this was gold.
"You were gonna say something nice, weren’t you?" You grinned, leaning closer.
Killua turned away so fast you thought his neck might snap. "No, I wasn’t!"
"You sooooo were!"
"Shut up!" His voice cracked slightly, and you swore you saw a tiny blush dust his cheeks.
It was silent for a moment.
Then, he muttered—so quietly you almost missed it— "You're… actually kinda strong."
Your heart did a weird flip.
You smirked. "What was that?"
Killua groaned, running a hand through his hair. "I said—you’re not weak, okay?!"
He refused to look at you, but you caught the way his fingers fidgeted.
And then—
"I knew it!" Gon suddenly appeared from behind, eyes gleaming with excitement. "Killua does think you're strong!"
Killua choked on air. "Wha—?! Gon, shut up!"
You laughed, while Killua looked about two seconds from throwing himself off the roof.
Maybe he was still annoying. Maybe he still got on your nerves.
But somewhere between enemies and rivals…
Maybe you had become something more.

10 days of being seatmates
•.:°❀×═════════×❀°:.•
Day 1
The first day of the semester at Hunter School was always chaotic. Students filled the room with chatter and energy, all abuzz with excitement over new classes and new challenges.
Killua Zoldyck sat lazily at his desk near the window, his silver hair catching the sunlight. Next to him was his best friend, Gon, the only person who made the craziness bearable.
"Alright, brats, listen up!" Biscuit Krueger, their petite but terrifyingly strong teacher, clapped her hands, demanding attention. "We’re doing seat arrangements today! This year, I’ve decided to mix things up."
Killua leaned back in his chair, his usual smirk in place. "Whatever. As long as I’m next to Gon, I’m good."
But his smugness quickly faded when Biscuit announced, "Killua Zoldyck, you’re sitting with y/n!"
"What?!" Killua shot up, glaring at Biscuit. "Why do I have to sit next to her? Gon and I—"
"No arguing," Biscuit cut him off with a sharp glare. "This is for your own good."
'that old hag...' killua cursed under his breath looking annoyed.
Grumbling, Killua slumped into his new seat. You looked over at him, smiling nervously. "Hi, Killua."
He didn’t bother looking at you. "Whatever."
Later, during class, you asked, "Killua, can I borrow a pencil? I forgot mine."
He groaned dramatically, digging through his bag. "Seriously? Why do I have to sit with someone so unprepared? Here." He shoved the pencil toward you without even looking.
"Uhh thanks?" You spoke, laughing awkwardly.
Day 2
The second day started with a similar attitude from Killua. He barely acknowledged your presence and spent most of his time whispering to Gon across the room.
You decided to leave him be, but during a group exercise, you had no choice but to talk to him.
"Killua, we need to finish this together," you said, holding out the worksheet Biscuit had assigned.
He rolled his eyes. "Fine. Just don’t slow me down."
Despite his grumbling, you noticed he was actually pretty smart.
By the end of the exercise, the two of you had finished first.
Day 3
Killua’s complaints continued, though slightly less frequent. During lunch, you surprised him by offering a homemade snack.
"Here," you said, placing the small bento on his desk. "I made too much, so you can have some."
He stared at it suspiciously. "What’s your angle?"
"No angle," you replied. "Just being nice."
He hesitated but eventually took a bite.
His eyes widened slightly. "This… isn’t bad."
You smiled. "Thanks, I guess?"
Day 4
By the fourth day, Killua had stopped actively ignoring you.
He still complained, but it seemed less genuine. During a particularly boring lecture, you doodled a small cartoon of him looking grumpy and showed it to him.
"Is that supposed to be me?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
You nodded, grinning. "Yeah. See? I even got your signature pout."
He tried not to laugh but failed, a small chuckle escaping him. "Okay, that’s pretty good."
Day 5
Killua found himself noticing little things about you—how you always came prepared with notes, how you helped other students who were struggling, and how your laugh was… oddly nice.
When you asked him for help during a sparring exercise, he didn’t complain as much as usual. "Fine. Just don’t blame me if you can’t keep up."
Day 6
By now, Killua had stopped complaining altogether. Instead, he found himself initiating conversations with you.
"Hey," he said during a break, "how do you always stay so calm during Biscuit’s training? She’s terrifying."
You laughed. "I guess I’m just used to it. What about you? You’re supposed to be this amazing assassin, right?"
He smirked. "I am amazing. Just… not a fan of authority."
Day 7
Killua started waiting for you outside class, though he pretended it was a coincidence.
"Wow, you’re early," you said when you saw him.
"Yeah, well, I just didn’t want to listen to Gon talk about bugs again," he lied.
You laughed, and he felt his chest tighten in a way that confused him.
Day 8
Killua realized he was looking forward to seeing you every day. During lunch, he offered you some of his food, surprising both of you.
"Here," he said, shoving a snack in your direction. "You always share with me, so… whatever."
"Thanks, Killua," you said, your smile making his cheeks feel warm.
Day 9
He couldn’t deny it anymore—he liked being around you. During class, he found himself watching you more than paying attention to Biscuit’s lecture.
When you caught him staring, he quickly looked away, his ears turning red.
Day 10
Killua finally admitted to himself that he had feelings for you. When you smiled at him that day, thanking him for lending you his eraser, he felt something shift in his chest.
"Hey," he said after class, stopping you in the hallway.
"Yeah?"
He hesitated, scratching the back of his head. "I… uh, never mind."
You tilted your head. "Killua?"
He sighed. "Forget it. I’ll tell you later."
But deep down, he knew he couldn’t hold it in much longer.
