arabs who dont understand that they destroyed arguably more culture than europeans ever did will forever annoy me
arabs be like *blows up ancient Mesopotamian and north african historical sites* haha im basically phoenician :)
It never fails to astound me how some Iraqi Arabs can complacently claim the Mesopotamian empire/civilisation as their own. I always watch with wondrous amazement at how modern Arab Muslims condemn Western imperialism whilst conveniently forgetting their own conquests. The historically illiterate ambitiously round up the Sassanid, Byzantine, and Indian civilisations to the ‘Islamic civilisation’ (whatever that means), when the Arabs were nomadic bedouins who waged wars against Iraq, Iran, Syria, India, China, Egypt to the Atlantic, Cyrpus to Italy, and Spain and France and helped themselves to the enslavement of millions. The Persian empire, for instance, fell more due to their already weakened position (after being defeated by the Byzantines), which the Arabs capitalised on, rather than Arab military prowess. Let’s call it out for what it is: Arab imperialism.
One of the many reasons learning history is critical for having a balanced perspective and unmasking contemporary ideological agendas that depend on historical distortion for their foundation and justification.

I love that these people who attended this class will go out to protest for a 15$ minimum wage at McDonald’s, because their shitty degree in Gay Porn isn’t earning them any money.
libs and neocons triggered at the thought of american military leaving syria. lmao
im extremely nosy but i dont have loose lips and thats the best combination tbh im not here to spread rumors or hurt anyone im only in it for the knowledge of everyone’s business i wont tell anybody but i NEED to possess ALL of the secrets
me hearing all the different sides of the story because everyone involved has told me directly what their take on the situation is but not saying anything and just watching it unfold like a intensely dramatically ironic shakespearean play with an audience of one (1) which is ME
“Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.”
— Mark Twain (via naturaekos)
Lets get it bros
This but you got it backwards.
The warlords became the government and the state uses "big business/finance/tech/whatever" to control *you* cause it would look bad if they did it directly.
Mark my words: Banks will soon be pressured to prohibit their services being used for anything gun related.
That means gun dealers will have their accounts closed, banks will refuse to process any commercial or private gun related payments and possibly shut down accounts of people who are caught doing it anyway.
They can’t get gun bans written into law at the moment, but you bet they’ll try mobilizing Silicon Valley and the private sector to make it as difficult as possible for people to exercise their rights.
Sometimes I hate being right. It just happened.
http://tribunist.com/news/4th-largest-bank-in-the-country-threatens-to-ban-gun-businesses-unless-they-comply-with-strict-gun-control-rules/
Privately enforced gun control is here and it’s set to get worse. Your rights on paper don’t matter if big business and finance conspire to deny you them.
(Thanks to @knotty-peppers for the heads up)
Aaaand it keeps happening
Look at this amazing news everyone!! Finally, someone is taking a stand against the bullshit lax gun laws in our country!! Please let more banks start doing this amazing, wonderful, and GOOD thing!! ^_^
@OP: *points and laughs at your pathetic ass*
Yea really cool idea to let private banking institutions unilaterally decide which of your constitutional rights you’re able to exercise.
How does it feel to lick the boot of Goldman Sachs?
the egalitarians are at it again
No that’s not the egalitarians, thats just her
Abolish the Federal Reserve when?
