Pairings: Dean Winchester x reader
Warnings: sexual implications, light swearing, alcohol

It had been 6 days since the Winchester’s had left the bunker. You were terrified. The trip wasn’t far and it was a simple vamp kill. “Shouldn’t take more than the weekend. We’ll be home before you know it.” You reminded yourself of deans words and the paranoia sunk in again. What if something had gone south? What if dean or Sam were hurt? Neither were answering any of their phones. Cas promised to watch over you and fill you in on the progress of the hunt but he hadn’t spoken to the boys. You looked up at his ocean blue eyes in the realization of your fear. He knew what you were thinking.
“I’m sure they’re alright (y/n). They always are.” He spoke. Cas was a very bad liar. He would always make a very serious face that was too happy. As if he was trying his hardest to spit out a lie without hurting anyone’s feelings. Your eyes sunk to the table again. It was in that very moment you heard the door to the bunker unlock from the top of the steps. Both you and cas stood at your seats, his hand in his trench coat. You knew he had his hand on the angel blade, but you were no different with your hand on the knife hooked to your belt loops. That’s when you heard dean laughing with Sam as they crossed through the door and shut it.
“Dude no way I totally would’ve had him if you didn’t barge in like that!” You heard Sam call as dean laughed. His laugh echoed down the stairs and suddenly you were filled with anger. How could they ignore you? They didn’t think to answer their phones after calling them 37 times? Did they think it was funny? Sam came off the steps first, dean following quickly behind. You were so angry you couldn’t move until dean stepped in front of you to hug you hello. You slapped him with all the fury you could muster.
“What the hell dean?!” You yelled red in the face. Dean looked shocked. “What the hell what (y/n)?” He spat back, visibly angry. Sam and cas looked at you almost if not more shocked than dean. You knew it wasn’t the first time a woman has slapped dean. But it was the first time you had done it. Well, don’t it and meant it that is.
“You didn’t even speak to me! I was worried sick about you,” you looked to Sam and pointed, “and you!” You looked back to dean. “How could you do that? You know how I get when I get nervous and you couldn’t even let me know you were okay?!” You were red hot. You felt anger swelling in your cheeks with blood. You realized how you were talking to dean. And it almost threw you back. You had always cared deeply about dean. Never more so than sam or cas, but the way you felt for dean definitely wasn’t the same way you felt about Sam or cas.
“Look, (y/n), I’m sorry okay? Me and Sammy got distracted. We had to camp out a couple of days to follow him. We didn’t even have a motel room because moose over there grabbed the wrong bag of cards.” Dean blew a hand to sam to emphasize. None of this eased your anger. Sam began to defend himself before Castile stopped him. They began to walk away towards sams room and you heard Castile whisper, “that’s not a battle to fight. Let them figure this one out.” Your eyes shot up to dean who was now red in the face. You knew he was about to get angry.
“You don’t get it do you? I care about you dean. If something happened to you I don’t know what I’d do. I’m not like you and Sam. I wasn’t raised a hunter. I can’t stop Lucifer or micheal or god. I can’t save people. And I can’t make anything okay without you.” You began to cry. You felt your knees get weak and your head start to hurt as tears streamed your face. “I love you dean. And not like you love Sam or cas. I love you like..well like...gah I don’t know dean!” Dean was taken back by this judging by the expression on his face. You began to cry harder, your knees feeling weaker as you looked away from dean so he couldn’t see your face. You hated crying in front of dean.
You continued to look away from dean until you felt his arms wrap around you. He had pulled you into a tight hug. One that he had never given you before. This felt, warmer. His heat made your knees buckle as you locked in your stance. You felt deans breath on your hair. Then you felt him swallow and inhale. “I love you, (y/n). I’m not going anywhere. I’m sorry I didn’t call. I didn’t mean to worry you.” His voice was deep. His voice had always been deep but in certain times, his voice would drop lower. You hadn’t heard him like this since before cas came back. He sounded hurt. Like he had been longing to say it forever. But it warmed your heart and your entire body with it. You felt yourself melt into him, His scent making you lightheaded. He pulled back further from you. Before you could look up to question it he lifted your chin up and pulled you into a passion filled kiss that made every bit of your blood flood your cheeks. You felt your face get hot as you melted into his hands. He pulled back slowly, neither of you wanting to stop but your lungs so air deprived you felt like they were going to burst.
“I’m sorry. I mean it.” He said in the same lingering deep tone. You nodded your head before he pulled you back in for another kiss. This one more heated than the last. He sat you up onto the table before you heard sam’s door click open. Both of you snapped your heads to Sam who was staring in disbelief. “I’m gonna uh...go get a...you know what? I’m not thirsty.” He said slowly and confused before scurrying back to his room. You and dean couldn’t help but laugh as your head fell onto his chest. You looked up at him after both of you had finished laughing.
“Forgive me?” He asked you. This time his voice was lighter. “Your forgiven. But, you owe me a beer.” You chuckled at your own wit and so did dean before stepping off to grab you a beer from the fridge.
