Memories. Etched into the surface of my homesick heart are memories Remembered on this beautiful Miami summer night. I long for the days that were heavy, and the days that were light And we’re together, when it didn’t even matter whether the house is dark or bright. Mama, I love you whenever I’m with you and even when I’m out of your sight.

Done were the times when Bonnie was a toy from Gaisano I’ve thrown you tantrums for, Every doll that were strictly kept inside a furniture were only for display since I was four. Could you believe how I controlled myself not to touch them or take them out of the shelf and just play with all those toys worth less than a hundred pesos instead? Even until now, they’re just there, we grew so fast, they’re left with dust and cobwebs. No, I didn’t regret I obeyed you then ‘cause it taught me self-control and discipline. Another childhood memory to remember and a story to tell.

Missin’ the days when we’d gather at the table for breakfast, lunch and dinner I’d love to see again that picture of a happy family together. Let’s do it again, one time, or two or three or four or a thousand more. And so then I may let you know again I’m most thankful for your regular bedtime bible story reading when I was little. Not to forget, I might not like it now but I used to love the way you would defend me from bullies in school! Haha, you’re the best! 😂

Jesus first extended grace to that woman pharisees called a nasty whore before He corrected her and told her “Go, and sin no more”. Before He cared to tell her to leave her wrong ways behind and start doing what is right, He saved her from being stoned by making her feel she’s worth the fight. Sometimes, people, they do not need our board signs that say “Repent”. Man, they will never ever understand that unless we first make love our movement. 💖
