State Of Nature?

Many philosophers, thinkers, and people say the state of nature is a dividing force in thought, and that makes sense in many ways and I can understand the process for both as well as can honestly say I think both Rousseau and Hobbes were in their own genius ways correct. The thought though that it would be one or the other is just out right egregiously unrealistic. It seems to me so close minded to see the world without government and a sovereign or governing force as either perfect and harmonious or savage and devious. It would be much more likely that there would be pockets of both in their own ways. With some communities being able to live in line with eachother and be harmonious in some sorts but at the same time having pockets of somewhat disassociated communities in which they would fight for resources and status or power. Just like in our current world. To be so far removed ideally is just simple. To think that it would be one way or the other is negating the true complex nature of not only nature itself but of our own perception and intellectual difference. Just like in real life our societies and cultures differ greatly in their own pockets and find their own pervasive ways to survive and evolve. I don’t take issue with any thinker before me in any deep and inconsolable way but I do believe as we evolve our thinking, we need to be aware of how complex our nature, societies, cultures, and most importantly ourselves.... truly are.

So I’ve never really understood how to write philosophical treatises or commentary but the older I get, the more I feel that the best way to be a better thinker in today’s age is to just actually try and dissolve all of the information we have access to and talk about it. Not to say you need to try and gain access to all the information out there but you can at least give a good conscious effort to think about the information you do intake, and discuss it with others who will undoubtedly always have differing views. If that’s the case then maybe we need to do better in the simple nuanced conversations we have every day with people in our lives. Just don’t silently disregard the common evil in our culture and do our best to be ever-vigilant in the very difficult struggle against the benality of evil. It’s never hard to be and do egregious and hurtful things in the ease of our lives due to the constant and persistent presence of disassociation with the community we live in and the people we interact with.

Maybe I’m just being extra.

So I really just wanted to start a blog where I could talk about some of the philosophical content of the times we live in. I’m not a super philosopher or anything, I don’t have a degree, I just love the art of thinking and thinking critically and sometimes abstractly. Plus I love posting shit that people can think about, laugh and enjoy reading

I might post once a week or so. Idk maybe more depending on how I feel (just being honest lol)
