I like to head cannon that Tasha is a really light sleeper (on account of growing up on Murder Planet) and she doesn’t often sleep in front of other people. That being said, eventually she gets comfortable around Deanna and learns the joys of resting in the arms of a beautiful woman.

I'm not saying I dislike the "having to wait for and earn the captaincy" storyline. There's obviously a lot of really interesting stories there and great character beats that have resulted in some of my favorite Trek characters. But there is an extremely noticeable pattern in which show leads need character development to move up the ranks

Everytime this post gets a note I remember the person that accused me of putting Kirk on here "three times to make it look like a bigger issue." First of all, it would still be an issue even if I did only use one Kirk, though I do think tos and aos Kirk are different enough characters with different enough storylines to both be included. Second of all. Pike is such a cardboard cutout of a man people don't even recognize him as his own character, and that's hilarious to me personally
