Life has become like a tasteless gum you chewed on for too long
How I haven't gotten caught since age 8:
â˘Assume every customer is LP or a snitch â˘Assume every device on the ceiling or walls is a camera that is being watched â˘Assume every employee is watching you â˘Assume every communication between employees (walkie-talkies, store announcements, code bla blabla, etc) is about YOU â˘Assume high-dollar items will be accounted for â˘Assume high-dollar stores are absolutely going to catch you â˘Assume all camera footage of you will be on the news (helps with disguising) â˘Assume towers work. â˘If no towers are visible, assume there are hidden ones â˘Assume any tag can set off the towers and be prepared to keep walking like you own the shit in your bag â˘Know that no matter how skilled or careful you are, you can be caught by any means and it can be *today* â˘Assume that if you werenât caught this time, theyâre ready for your ass next time. Take breaks, seriously
Seeing a lot of the community go down lately. Felt it was worth reminding us all (myself included, I get carried away A LOT) that we are criminals and we are all taking a huge risk, no matter our reasons. I donât care if youâre rich, poor, in between, unemployed, working, in school, raising kids or not, married, single, a cat, disabled, dying, young, old, a celebrity, a POC, white, tall, shortâWHATEVER. YOU CAN GET CAUGHT. YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT OF TROUBLE NO MATTER HOW COOPERATIVE OR TEARFUL AND APOLOGETIC YOU ARE! Heeding these words will help to protect you. I love you, little magpie babies, please stay safe

Thank u for this
pier 1 imports masterpost
iâve worked at three different locations of this store and tbh it is so easy to lift from. its a great place to get candles & small home goods, as well as seasonal gifts, like christmas ornaments right now! some stores still carry scarves & jewelry but theyâve mostly stopped selling those so quantities are limited
literally Nothing is tagged, some items have a small sticker that says its electronically protected but it isnât, pier 1 stores donât even have towers that you could set off lmao
cameras are limited as well and are mainly to stop employee theft. cameras are generally placed in each corner with one above the registers and one above the door. they are only monitored occasionally when a manager is in the back and even then theyâre 99% doing paperwork or on the phone, not watching the cameras. displays are super tall (almost to the ceiling) so itâs easy to find a blind spot
the best times to go are on mon-thurs either directly when they open at 10am, or from 6-9pm before closing. at these times usually there will only be the manager & one SA in the store. someone will greet you, but if you say youâre just browsing theyâll leave you alone most of the time. SAs have a no confrontation/no chase policy, all they can do is customer service you to death (possibly with specifics, e.g. i noticed you were looking at our pillar candles, would you be interested in seeing some candleholders for them?)
and finally pier 1 inventory is also always wrong so i can guarantee no one will even notice if something goes missing so. go wild rob them blind
good luck and happy lifting! ⨠(disclaimer: if you get caught or w/e im not responsible for that, always play it safe)
Soooo this is my go to technique when concealing on floor.
I tuck my jacket / hoodie into a bag so when I place items under my arm because I need a spare hand, I let it slide into the bag below.
You gotta be careful with this as sometimes it doesnât slide easily in! Awkward if you just drop items on the floor ://
I use this to conceal palettes or anything smaller
yaâll are so smooth  đ
Reblog if you hope Tumblr's shoplifting fandom has a good and safe day
any tips on lifting handbags ? preferably designer please I really need a better lifting bag lmao
SNATCH AND RUNor!!!Go in without one, find one you want within the first couple minutes, hold it so no one can see the tags and just walk around like itâs yours. Get a couple clothes to try on and while in the dressing room check the bag for tags and remove them. I would also recommend bringing some basic purse stuff too. They canât tell you a purse isnât yours if you have a bunch of random things. I tend to carry cigarettes, a couple lighters, some random trash, a wallet, change, phone, and lipstick scattered about on my body so you canât tell Iâm carrying all that stuff and toss it in there, exit the dressing room and return the clothes or lift something else while youâre in there idk up to you but I recommend on body concealing since youâre stealing the purse lmao, then leave with your new purse!
I used my Selma purse and I also like to use this one my MK Tote looking bag. Nice and big, I like taking everything out of it.. But it ends up looking very sus because itâs looks super empty walking in and nice n full walking out⌠So I took a box (luckily I found a box very close to the same size at the bottom on my purse) and stuck it at the bottom of my bag. It makes it look a bit fuller and holds a bit more of its shape. I would recommend wrapping ur box in some sort of soft material⌠When dropping something ur purse it makes a somewhat noticeable noise, the soft material will help wit that⌠Even after a lift I still think to myself ⌠âDamn I need a bigger bag lol đđłđâ
Oooh nice tip đđźđđź
I'm literally shaking as I'm typing this! đąđ
Oh god oh god oh god I just lifted a fuck ton of groceries! Salmon, coconut water, fruit, spices⌠all that good stuff I regularly avoid buying because they are too fucking expensive for me. I feel so goddamn amazing right now, havenât gotten a rush like this in a while! Might seem silly that Iâm so excited about groceries but Iâve literally been living on bread and water ever since I moved out on my own. This is magnificeeeeent CAN I GET AN AMEN
just found out about a website where you can see all the police reports in your area - sorted by type of crime. you could use it to look up shopping centers/malls and see if any lifting has been reported which might give you some insight for the future. Also you can look at your local police departmentâs website/social media page and see if there has been anyone lifting that the police are aware of and looking for (if thereâs surveillance camera footage available, it can give you an idea of the quality/placement of cameras in a particular store)

Ever lift at kohls? Tips?đđ
Kohls is pretty easy for me. I think it was the first place that I ever lifted clothes. Haha.Iâve heard on here that Kohls is super difficult, so it may be hard in some areas. Iâll just break down what you should look for and how to go about lifting from Khols.
-A friend of mine that worked there said that their towers can detect magnets and sends a silent ping to them to let them know. BUT, she also said that the SAs normally donât see it in time to see the customer who walked in with it because they tend to stay busy. (This info was given to me yesterday, ironically)If you use a magnet, try to walk in at the same time as another person.
-kohlâs uses pencil tags and gator tags. They also put RFIDs on their earrings and other jewelry.
-If itâs legal in your state, Kohlâs has double sided mirrors in the dressing rooms. If itâs legal, they HAVE TO have a sign up that says that the dressing rooms are monitored. They can also be monitored by an SA through the shutters in the doors. Again, they have to have a sign up to let you know. Mine were monitored through the doors, but I never even saw an SA in the area.
-Their LP tend to be very serious about shoplifting. Donât go into Kohlâs being obvious about what you intend to do, because their LP will follow you around via camera or one of the plain clothed LP will follow you around and watch you.
-Grab a buggy or a shopping basket and browse around. Grab what you want, then grab things that you donât want to throw over what you do want. It helps to throw brighter, more noticeable colored items on top as decoys. Before you leave, donât make your rounds to put everything back individually because if LP do happen to be watching you, they may notice that you never put back a particular item that they saw you pick up earlier and will high tail after you.I normally just pretend to answer my phone, say âIâm at Kohlâs. Iâll just meet you there right now.â then I âhang upâ and lay my basket on a display table and leave. If they go to search your basket, youâll most likely be gone if they notice that items are missing.
-Kohlâs is quick to call the cops on a shoplifter over a small amount of stolen items, so be careful.
Please Don't Lift If You're:
(Highlighted points are common things Iâve seen on Liftblr) â˘Pregnant - if you get caught you run the risk in some places to have your baby taken away from you after birth. â˘With your kids/with small children - the charges WILL be harsher and they can get taken away/you will have a restraining order/restriction for visitation put on you. â˘Feeling off - you need to be on your peek game. You WILL mess something up and heighten the risk of getting caught. â˘Not sober - especially when drunk it WILL be obvious and they automatically watch you more. â˘!!**Feeling greedy**!! - greed is your enemy. Greed is what gets you caught. If you donât get caught in store, you run the risk of a store case building on you. Stores these days love to case build these days since the punishment will be harsher. â˘!!**Intending to do a large haul from one store**!! - that ruins it for other lifters. That also is very dumb in general since multiples of one item/a large amount of shrinkage will alert the store to a theft problem. â˘Under probation/semi-permanent watch - this is just asking for trouble and youâd think that it would be obvious but Iâve found a few lifters in my old jobs in retail who were on probation and begged me not to say anything. Donât. Be. Dumb. â˘Are with a large group of friends - youâre already being watched just because thereâs a lot of you. Most retail jobs train you to watch for large groups of people. Itâs unusual and suspicious especially if thereâs more than 5 of you. â˘!!**Constantly getting sussed/almost caught**!! - Lady Luck wonât always save you. You WILL reach your demise. In-store lifting probably isnât your realm. Try scamming instead or hone your skills in an easier place like the dollar store or known easy stores (Iâve seen H0t T0pic listed as a really easy store) â˘With strict restrictive parents - if theyâre nosey at home and youâve got no private space that they have no access to in order to hide your stuff, donât. For your own personal safety please donât. ESPECIALLY IF YOUR PARENTS ARE ABUSIVE
I want to be friends with everyone on here so bad but Iâm too scared to start conversations đ

All I ever see is fine ass girls with long ass beautiful nails and I get so jealous cause Iâm ALLERGIC to acrylic this isnât lifting related but Iâm SAD OK?
Oh that sucks :(
Scariest thing happened today while I was out lifting
Today I was at my towns local mall, shopping around in one of my personal favorite stores, E@rĹŁhbøuĹd. For the past couple times Iâve been meaning to nick this candle but things kept preventing me from doing it. Today I finally had my shot. I grabbed the only two candles they had left in stock and shoved them into my bag. I made sure I was in the best blind spot of the store where NO ONE, not even a mouse, could see me. I decided that in order to not look too sus I would continue walking around shopping. As I was making my way to the front of the store in an effort to leave, I noticed that the cops were standing there. They had cornered these two asian ladies by the rocks display. I was horrified and couldnât think straight.
What if SA had seen me?
What if those women had seen me?
What if the cops were interrogating them to figure out if they saw me steal stuff?
At this moment I was so close to running out the door but I knew I wouldnât be able to outrun them. One of the cops was a burly white guy who looked like he came straight from the police academy. He had the body of Lou Ferrigno and I got the feeling he could pick me up and snap me like a tooth pick if he wanted to. The other officer was a black guy that looked exactly like Usain Bolt but with a pedo-stache.
So against my best judgment, I trembled foward. I asked what as going on, and the white officer looked me straight in the eyes with the conviction of an executioner. His response would forever shake me. It went along the lines of this:
âOh I was just telling them about my rock collection at home. Itâs like x10 bigger than this one here. As part of my religion I believe that rocks have magical powers that can heal your or make you happier. Iâm an Odinist. Thatâs when you believe in the Nordic gods like Odin and Thor and Freya (idk if I spelt that last one right). My personal God is ThorâŚâ
The dude just kept going on, and on, and on and the entire time the other officer was standing there looking bored as hell by what his partner was saying.
A part of me wanted to laugh I was so relieved, another part of me still wanted to scream and run. I ended up just standing there, nodding vigioursly and enthusiastically. In the end I bought one of the rocks and left. When I got to the car I ended up laughing so hard that I nearly pissed myself. I still canât believe I didnât get in trouble.
TL;DR
I thought I had been caught shop lifting but the cop was actually just a religious fanatic who really liked rocks.
holy crapđđ
saw this on twitter and thought i would share lmao im dead at this đ
