rereading tgcf 😘 just finished the second 7seas book… thoughts posting (spoilers for all)

mei nianqing is the real villain... he abandons jun wu, finds a cuter version of him, raises him as his disciple, calls xl his favorite in front of jw’s statue, also let’s xl run his mouth in front of jw’s statue (the gods are wrong and i’m right). he worked hard for that cursed shackle 🙄 (junmei 4 life)

also u can pinpoint the moments where baby hua cheng decides he hates feng xin and mu qing. the beef is ancient. this child might actually be evil tho.

annnd xl hugs him from behind after mnq tells everyone he’s poison…. like he does later in the gooner cave WAAHH….! people who try to argue hua cheng exists outside of xie lian are just flat wrong… it’s so obvious. even the bufferflies are a xie lian reference (he is described as a butterfly when he catches baby hc!!!). binghe is watching and taking notes.

also i’m trying to come at feng xin and mu qing with fresh eyes because i hated both of them in my first read. i’m actually liking mu qing more, cold on the outside but a softie if u dig deep enough. feng xin is giving assistant manager. his weird thing with women isn’t cute.

i’m excited for xianle to fall and experience xl’s suffering again yaay :)
