Introduction

Hi, I'm Kitty/Villain, I'm 22 and this is my personal blog :) it is 18+ to follow please! I sometimes post dark topics and kink content.

This blog was previously a selfship blog, but I like it here better so I've moved over permanently. I do still selfship and post about this, and I'm aromantic which sometimes (not always) applies to my selfships too.

I have previously had psychosis but am now medicated, and I sometimes include my experiences with psychosis in my selfships / self inserts. This is so far kept to the tags #end of world and #prophet ghoul. I am also physically disabled which appears in my selfships.

I have no DNI but I block heavily, especially those who bring unnecessary discourse to my inbox or yell at people over their kinks. I don't have the time or energy to worry about what porn my mutuals are jerking it to.

My wife and I have a little game we play called "Speaking From Ignorance."

To play Speaking From Ignorance, all you need is a phone with a voice recorder, and another person who knows considerably more or considerably less about a topic than you do. The topic can be anything: from "how to bake a quiche" to "what happens in the Peter Jackson Hobbit movies" to "who is Florence Pugh" to "how does the traveling salesman problem work." All that matters is that one of you has a firm grasp on the material, and one of you absolutely the fuck does not.

Then the person who knows about the topic turns on the recorder, and says to the person who knows barely anything: "Hey - tell me everything you think you know about [X]."

The speaker is then not allowed to ask any questions. Nor is the expert allowed to volunteer any information. The expert is allowed to pipe up with a faintly incredulous "Oh--really? Do you--do you think so?" from time to time, but for the most part, the expert's job is just to sit there and make encouraging sounds while the speaker digs their own grave.

This is never not funny.

The reason you record it is because, very often, the first thing the speaker wants to do after finishing the recording is find out how you actually make a quiche, or whatever. Then you both get to go back and listen to how wrong they were.

We have a small library now of Speaking From Ignorance recordings, and I'm going to be listening to them until I'm eighty.

As a wheelchair user I'm trying to reframe my language for "being in the way."

"I'm in the way," "I can't fit," and "I can't go there," is becoming "there's not enough space," "the walkway is too narrow," and "that place isn't accessible."

It's a small change, but to me it feels as if I'm redirecting blame from myself to the people that made these places inaccessible in the first place. I don't want people to just think that they're helping me, I want them to think that they're making up for someone else's wrongdoing. I want them to remember every time I've needed help as something someone else caused.

Nameless Ghoul PSA

Since a new era is starting for Ghost and new fans are joining on Tumblr, here’s a quick PSA re: “Dewdrop” vs “Sodo”

“Dewdrop” is a fan-made nickname for the touring lead guitarist of Ghost. It was given to him before his identity was discovered. Nameless Ghouls were given nicknames by fans loosely based on their assigned element (e.g. lead guitar is fire, bass guitar is water), and Dewdrop started out as a bass guitarist (hence the association with water). Since he switched to lead guitar, there has been confusion over his name and a lot of people began calling him “Sodo Ghoul” on TikTok and Twitter.

“Sodo” is the real-life nickname for the unmasked touring lead guitarist. He has had that nickname for ~20 years. It does not come from Ghost. It does not come from fans. It comes from a band called Goat S*d*mizer. Yes, Papa Emeritus IV called him “Sodo(mizer)” on stage a few times. That is because the singer and the lead guitarist have known each other for a long time, and they were friends with the band, Goat S*d*mizer. Just because they have both used the nickname, does not mean it’s the “official” nickname for the ghoul.

The idea that “Dewdrop” changed to “Sodo” because he transitioned from bass guitar to lead guitar is false. People discovered his identity, and they started using his real-life nickname for the ghoul. “Sodo Ghoul” blends his real identity with The Nameless Ghoul he plays on stage. Saying “Sodo Ghoul” would be like calling a fictional character by their actor’s nickname. No other touring musician is referred to by their real nickname by the fanbase when they are performing as a Nameless Ghoul.

To separate the fan-made identities from real ones, many of us prefer to use “Dewdrop Ghoul.” Additionally, the musician has expressed a desire to distance himself from the nickname “Sodo(mizer).” If you find that people here aren’t engaging in your work when tagged #sodo ghoul, it’s probably for this reason. You are not limited to calling him “Dewdrop.” Some fans prefer a fire based nickname. However, many of us feel like “Sodo Ghoul” is crossing a line and therefore we refuse to call him that or engage in work where he’s referred to as such.
