The first thing i did when i started watching Korean dramas 3 years ago was to ask for recommendations, so I have decided to post mine!! This list was started when i first got into kdramas and are mostly in the order i watched them!
Have to point out that there is a mistake in the Netflix English subtitle. The nickname that Ning Yi gave to Zhiwei is actually “little cat”, not Raccoon. This nickname came from a famous Chinese story “The Cat for Crown Prince”, about an imperial concubine took away another concubine’s newborn son, and replaced him with a cat, and at the end the little prince grew up to be the emperor and found out that his mother is not really his biological mother.
In the story, Zhiwei was been used to substitute her cousin in the marriage with Ning Yi, so they called her “the little cat”. This nickname made many people in the story thought that Ning Yi was a cat person and kept a beautiful little Dragon Li cat.
whelp another drama with so little time on my hand now we have the Chinese drama the flames daughter which stars who at first seems to have a strong childhood love to who happens to be her senior in martial arts sect run by her father which make her the young miss of the flame sect.

Now the episodes can be a bit confounded to understand as there are some intermitted flashbacks , well actually more like forward backs really. But it looks like all what we are seeing has actually happened in the past already and so the story is being told again for us.
Now some people to know about are Yin Xue who seem to have a connection to just about everyone it seems. Honestly, I don’t see his character having much charisma other than the fact that he seems to have some sort of mystic connection and of course other godly gifts.
Then Zhan feng was pretty much an idiot as well for falling for the obvious lies told by Ying Li then he, in turn, worked for Dark river palace, just cause someone said his master the man who took him in to train supposedly killed his parents.
Like dude didn’t even bother to investigate or straight up ask, yeah I know most drama can have that Evil villain raise hero child has his own but still dude really.
Now the other senior disciple though he thought of himself as a lonely prince I sure felt he made a good fit he genuinely cared for Li Ruge , but i guess he had to be the woeful love that never be, I thought if anyone it should be him whom Li Ruge falls for.
Hell better yet let her tell them all to go the hell. Let her be the flame mistress and raise up the ranks for all woman warriors lol
so while am going to go and drag myself through the rest of the episode this series just didn't cut it for me.
I just finished watching the Legend of Fuyao and I was surprised with it really while so many gave rave reviews I tend to be wary of them cause some people taste of course may very well not be my own.
The plot centered Fuyao who from a low upbringing becomes entangled with various princes, quests, and mess. As she travels to discover who she is, a plot unfolds that centered around her very life is at stake.
Wuji is a prince of the five kingdoms who hides a secret goal in mind, he seemingly becomes entangled with Fuyao life as well.
on the journey together they meet new allies and enemies alike
Read more for spoilers and my own review granted it’s not a full in-depth one just a few opinions here and there.
Okay while I absolutely did enjoy watching this drama there were what we can say where some points I feel they could have gone further with.
We first find Fuyao as a servant/ slave in the Xuanyuan Sect a where she has lived all her life so far, she’s trained secretly by the senior disciple Yan Jingchen and son of the Sect leader. He is her first love but he ends up betraying that love for a forced marriage to Pei Yuan, who deeply obsessed with Him.
so my problem with them is that Pe Yuan was so insane over Jingchen that she breaks rules ruins her Uncle plans to take control of the sect and losses it completely towards the end when she is killed by her own maid whom she was cruel too.
I was all too happy when the story arc involving them ended, it was waste of time to me.

I absolutely loved the arc involving the Tanisha Kingdom with Zhang Bei Ye and Yalan Zhu showing up and stole my heart I actually like them better than Fuyao and Wuji.
I was guilty of rewatching every moment of them together , while some will say Zhu was beyond stalkerish ( drama world people remember) I actually believed in what she said about love and doing everything for that person.
I loved how they let her fight in the beginning but when she lost her sight became silghtly wimpy but she was blind ya know. She regained a new sense of maturity with that I like.
Then Zhan Bei Ye finally learns who saved him and how hard she trained and boom finally gets it, how he talked about how she became apart of him just made me scream in happiness.

at the very end of things, Fuyao finally becomes the evil witch that they were all fearing and wuji wounded and tortured face each other but love breaks through and they both are together happily.
but nothing ever heard of everyone else like wtf seven was killed for gods sake yeah no part discussing him or everyone else who came to their aid during the battle with fei lan.
So, in the end, it a happy ending but with polt holes.
