Okay.
So, I’m usually a pretty chill girl—I draw art for fun, giggle at shitposts, don’t spread hate online… BUT I’ve always had a huge pet peeve about copyright violations.
It’s fine if someone reposts my work with credit. It’s not ideal but whatever if they forget—I’ll just politely add it in the comments. :)
But when someone steals my art, claims it as their own, and basks in my compliments (because yeah, kind words do matter to me)—especially with crap like “this took me so much time” under my drawing—I can’t just stay calm. Why the hell should I? They’re stealing my audience, my (admittedly tiny) potential income, and the appreciation I deserve. And honestly? It just stresses me the fuck out.
I get it—it’s the internet. You gotta be ready for all kinds of bullshit. And I am ready. Ready for criticism, ready to be talked about in ways I might not like. You post online, you deal with reactions. That’s the rule. But what I’m not ready to swallow? Lies and theft.
