Happy Lunar New Year! 🧧🐍

Every year I’ve created some sort of piece to celebrate the occasion which usually means drawing the chinese zodiac wearing a party hat (yes, even last year but I haven’t posted it yet cause burn out baby! 🫠). As it’s the year of the snake 🐍, I wanted to focus on the the reptiles form, like how the body wraps around itself aaaand draw a bunch of flowers! What type of flower are they? I have no idea - totally just swung it! Maybe they’re a combo between a peony and perennial? 

Also, I did forget to add the hat at the END of making this piece so ofc had to go back and draw one in (you'll see that on slide 3). Now I have two versions - one with and without the adorbs party hat! Es perfect~

May the year of the snake be filled with happiness and abundance for everyone! Stay knifty!

Who here 🧡 pumpkin spice chai lattes?

Oh my goodness, if your brain FIRST went to that starbucks drink, you get why I did a whole illustration inspired by that beverage. It's sweet, creamy, pumpkin and chai spice flavored - it's like taking a sip of the fall season! Also, every time you've got to top the drink off with some delicious whipped cream and maybe a sprinkle of cinnamon. ✨ I have yet to try making this delicious beverage at home but it's on my list to do!

About this piece: I wanted this illustration to be cozy, cute, and pumpkin spice focused. I darkened the background to give that cozy emphasis and really pushed the orange color theme out. Anise flowers and fall leaves give a bit of movement and differentiation from the roundness of everything else. Aaaand I added eyes just cause I wanted too - adds the cuteness factor! So yeah, that's some notes to share.

Is it too late to post ghost art?

NEVER mwahahaha! 👻 This piece was actually meant to be uploaded for #peachtober23 but I honestly forgot about it. Inspired by the prompt, BULB, I created these little flower ghostie bulbs just chillin with a ladybug. I actually separated a bunch of the pieces out to animate so we'll see if I get to that!

Ghosts haunting delicious red peppers!

A while ago, my friend and I saw this trend on tiktok where you grab a second hand painting and paint ghosts on it! I found this gorgeous pepper painting/print in chipboard that was a bit scratched and chipped but it was so lovely I had to snag it! Definitely a fun painting experience for this October! 👻✨

I'm struggling to find more details on the artist so if anyone has any info they could share with me, that would.be awesome!

Sleepy bean wanting to take a snooze.

A fun animated GIF drawn in @procreate and animated frame by frame in @photoshop . I'd love to sleep in or take a nap today but it's gonna be a busy day haha! Also, I'm super excited for Procreate Dreams to come out and test animating content on the iPad. I mean you can animate with procreate but sometimes it's limited.

This one's a goodie as I went through my ancient art supplies to pull out some chalk pastels from 10+ years ago. I didn't even leave them in the box they came in and instead went for Noosa containers (love the mango yogurt btw).

Sooo talking about this little doodle, I wanted to create something more Halloween/October focused BUT with more colorful elements with inspiration from #peachtober23 prompt - BLUSH. Purple, lime green, pink, and that golden yellow is a classic Halloween pallet (imo) and skulls are simple and easy to create - which I needed to experiment with chalk pastels. I used to blend A LOT with pastels but instead did something more graphic so the texture really comes out in this piece!

I'll be selling this as an original later this October so keep an eye out on socials for a shop update or follow my Etsy store!

Who else loves pumpkin everything? Pumpkin spice lattes (that Starbucks drink!), sweaters with pumpkin patterns, pumpkin patches, stickers 👀, desserts, etc. Pumpkin season only comes once a year so gotta enjoy it while it lasts!

Well howdy partner! 🤠👻

So I made a cool block stamp from scratch last year of a cowboy ghostie (you've seen him on envelopes if you've ordered from my Etsy shop in October) and decided I really wanted to make him into a sticker design. From this day forth he shall be known as Mike, the cowboy ghost! Name inspiration from Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc as I've been thinking about rewatching that movie lol.

Talking about October - I'm trying to finish some Halloween designs before next week so folks can order themed designs if they'd like but I also have a ton of other products in the works. I'm thinking I'll either do a 2 part shop update in October or maybe just save the rest for November? Not sure - thoughts???

🐱+ 🌌 = the best furry cosmos friend ever.

It's the start of all the October challenges which makes me energized to start sharing my art on socials again!

For #peachtober23 prompt 2 is Cosmos. Ofc, the kitty needs a Saturn ball to play with and a bandana cause they cute!

I love space and universe stuff so this was a prompt I wanted to fit into my schedule to create. I'm trying to play around with mixed media a bit more or materials I haven't touched in a while. I'm not planning on being consistent with drawing every day and sharing as it's a bit too much for my schedule but I still want to participate where I can with a bunch of other amazing artists on the platform.

Happy Mermay! Going 4 years strong on drawing a mermaid at least once during the month of May. I used the prompt ‘celestial’ from @Mermay_official on Instagram for some inspiration! Think the prompt fits the work?

It’s my birthday week (wooo!) I just turned 27 so I can officially say I’m in my late 20s. :’) Great bday week so far with lots of delicious food haha! Also - Mario Brothers film was really good if you’re looking for a new movie to watch.
