On an unrelated note: wdyfm I have only drawn four (4) pieces of Stellaria (as I currently envision her) and Graves??? this is bullshit pfft I should really comm someone to draw them for me when I get the chance!

Stellaria is a single child and the first Witch in her family in on her Father's side in over two generations and is the second Witch on her Mother's side, her Mother being the first in her own family in over three generations. She grew up around NoMaj and has a fondness for both sides of the Wizarding and non-Wizarding world.
Stellaria moved to New York after graduating from the Auror Academy in her home state of Texas and after being formally accepted to work there. During her time in Ilvermorny and in Auror Academy, she gained a deep affection for magical creatures and Beings not shared by most of her peers and decided to become an Auror to try and change Wizarding laws regarding the treatment of said creatures and Beings.
Graves is one of seven children born from a highborn ancient line of pureblood and halfblood wixen born and raised in Manhattan, NY to Irish immigrant parents. He was raised in exclusively Wizarding areas and actively taught to avoid NoMaj folks.
After graduating from Ilvermorny, Graves graduated Auror Academy in New York before becoming an everyday Auror for M.A.C.U.S.A.. After many years of hard work, he earned the spot of Director of Magical Security to work directly underneath the President of wixen society.
Stellaria met Graves without knowing his rank or his name outside where they work on her first day- a rainy, cold day.
She was sipping on coffee outside, enjoying the rain and how her own breath fogged like a dragon and when he walked up and stood a polite distance away she--- a clueless Southerner--- broke the city folk social rule of not talking to strangers by cheerfully greeting him.
Startled, Graves offered a raspy, bemused greeting back after sipping his own coffee and Stellaria took that as an invite to keep being Southern. She began idly talking at / to him while he sipped his coffee, drawing closer while she asked him questions about the city until he quietly asked if she minded if he lit up a cig.
Stellaria shook her head and after he lit up he asked if she wanted one since she was staring. She blushed, stuttered out a polite no, explaining she was just curious about it since she never tried it. Amused, Graves offered again. She took it from him but tucked it behind her ear instead, saying she'll have to try it later when she has the time before thanking him and heading indoors....
One of these days I'll have to write it!
Graves (45) is 14 years older than Stellaria (31)
They both attended Ilvermorny- Graves in house Wampus and Stellaria in house Thunderbird- but as hinted, they never met in school
Stellaria is a Virgo and Graves is a Gemini
While Stellaria doesn't answer directly to Graves but instead to her shift supervisor, Stellaria is still ultimately considered a subordinate under Graves' command given his title as the Director of security so... āØļøpower imbalanceāØļø but I like that so pfftt~
History accurate gender roles and expectations apply for better and for worse. They work these things through but it's not something that comes naturally.
I mean. Unfortunately Graves' source is a story belonging to a smelly garbage dumpster fire of a person no matter how much I fix said story. I don't buy her merchandise and don't support her backasswards ideologies whatsoever but people are gonna be upset with this ship regardless because of its origins and I have to accept that.
