eek. I have to finish my projects this weekend. I got distracted with my second sock yet again. with another hat. yet again. But!! This one, I have made up my own pattern and it's turning out SMASHING. Super pumped.
but i need to hurry up and finish those because i want some armwarmers too. :P
One Pair a Month Challenge 2k14
So some of my facebook friends may know, but I am challenging myself to knit at least one pair of socks every month this year. And, not only a pair each, but I really want to try and get twelve different patterns, too! Knitting socks has taught me a lot already about knitting.
Plus, if I get real good, maybe I could even work fast enough at basic patterns, and be able to sell a few pairs! Knitting for profit sounds just ever so exciting.
If anyone would like to join me in this venture, I would love to see what you come up with!
The first pair I have been knitting is a free pattern. It's available here! The Jacquard & Stripes Sock pattern by Patons yarns. I am using 2 skeins of Patons Kroy Sock Yarn in Brown Red Marl. It's really satisfying to get to each color change. It's a great yarn, too! Easy to work with, durable, warm, and washable!

Knit this today! I messed up a little due to some fascinating TED talks on netflix (; you can’t tell though! I absolutely love this pattern and if I hadn’t have messed up my first pom, it would have only taken one skein of hometown usa yarn. Maybe next year’s presents?

yes!! it's a free pattern, which I found on ravelry (I'm wild-fox on there). But, you can check it out on the creator's personal blog, too! It's a super fast, adorable pattern. I also love her dropstitch cowl.
