This is my first attempt at dyeing a gradient. I’m extremely happy with the results.

I joined a handmade swap and dyed this for my Spoilee. I hope that she likes it!
I started experimenting with Kool-Aid dyeing again. I am extremely happy with the results!
I've been on a temporary knitting break since I irritated some tendons in my hand thanks to, you guessed it, knitting! Ho ho! In the meantime, these little hexipuffs that are destined to become a seat cushion have been winking at me. I'll be back (hopefully) soon!
It’s raining hats.
Hats are my favorite thing to knit and wear. I just love hats! The gray hat got a lot of wear during the winter. It’s just so soft and almost velvety. That’s baby alpaca for you! I found all of these patterns on ravelry: Raituli, Sugar Maple Hat, and Worsted Winter Ripple Hats.
Christmas Swap ‘15 Part 1
I’m finally dusting off this blog, so prepare for a couple of updates! First things first, I finished the Cranberry Delight and put together this parcel with a number of yarn goodies for my Christmas spoilee, Linda. I had so much fun putting this together that I am all for knitting swaps now and probably forever!
Hey, love that pattern! I’ve written one very similar!
This pattern is absolutely gorgeous. I’ve seen some people knitting similar ones, but this pattern is the Cable Mini Scarf. Can you link me to your pattern? I’d love to check it out!
Christmas Swap ‘15 Part 2
This is the lovely package that I received from Samantha! It was truly like Christmas morning. What you don’t see in the package is a ton of little bells (and more candy canes!) that jingled as I opened up the box. Samantha sewed a Christmas project bag that has gotten a lot of use since I opened it. I was an still am so touched by everything she made and put together for me.

Candy Corn Here!
Happy belated Halloween everyone! I kicked off the end of October with a little bit of knitting. I’m currently knitting a hat with this gorgeous candy corn yarn from GnomeAcres.
Cranberry Delight
Now that I've finished my Halloween/Autumn swap, I get to start knitting for the Christmas swap that I joined! I've decided to knit a nice cabled cowl. I just picked out some cute little leaf buttons for this. I may or may not be addicted to knitting cowls... but look at the cables! I’m knitting with bulky yarn this time around, so it’ll knit up quick.
Halloween Swap ‘15
I received my Halloween parcel last week!
What you see at the bottom of the card is the most delicious smelling spiced cider tea. I smelled the tea before I got the box all the way open and thought that I had gotten some awesome potpourri!
It’s a shame that I’m allergic to peanuts because these sound tasty.
Here's a picture of everything that I received. The skull is a neat little tea infuser. I also love the ghosts! I've added them to the slowly growing Halloween display around my cat's urn for the season. He would've loved these little ghosts! I will definitely join the Halloween swap again next year!
Autumn Knitting Part 2
I've finished the cowl! This is a cotton and silk blend from Araucania. The colors came out beautifully. I just need to get the rest of the goodies for my spoilee together before I can send off my Autumn/Halloween package. I hope she likes it!
Autumn knitting + yarn bowl
I joined a Halloween knitting swap. It's like Secret Santa, but for Halloween. My spoilee wants either Halloween or Autumn themed items, so I'm going with a bit of both. I'm currently knitting a fall inspired cowl. There was a minute when I thought that the blue might’ve been stealing fall's thunder, but it evened out. It's currently about halfway done and I'm loving it!
My grandparents bought me a yarn bowl. I'm super excited because I've been thinking about getting a yarn bowl for a while now. I wish that I thought of making yarn bowls back when I was doing ceramics! I would've made a ton of them. This yarn bowl is really neat. I see you lurking there, cowl!
I’m finally getting started on my ugly Christmas sweater, which is also my first go at making a sweater. I figured that it’ll be cool if the sweater comes out slightly wonky since it’s going to be an ugly Christmas sweater anyway lol. We’ll see!
I swear there's a silent rule that the knitting needles you need will either be in use or conveniently missing when you need them. I know the needles in question, which are (naturally) missing, will turn up as soon as I replace them lol.
Every Year I Crochet Superheroes And Hide Them In San Diego For People To Find
I’m almost done with my grandma’s Saroyan. This yarn is so soft that several people have mistaken it for cashmere, but nope. It’s baby alpaca!
