Tonight on “YouTube Poop scenes that have lived in my head for a decade”
game: has any kind of elemental based fighting system
me: apply pokemon logic
To be fair Pokemon element logic is rooted in normal logic.

Hey, hey, time for me to talk about trans fiction!
So awhile ago, I watched this cartoon called Kashimashi - Girl Meets Girl. It’s about a dude, Hazmu, who, on the same day his love rejected him, get smooshed by an alien ship and reconstructed as a genetic female. Yup.
The rest of the story is about Hazmu rekindling her feeling with the girl who rejected her, Yasuna, but is now interested in her more as a girl for ridiculously complicated reasons. Meanwhile, Hazmu’s childhood friend, Tomari, has always been in love with Hazmu but biding her time. The relationships are interesting and complicated and feel genuine. The stuff with aliens and things seem to get in the way and waste a lot of time and generally make wacky and more complicated a charming romance story. Also the last episode is legit terrible which is shame since the episode before the last one is heart-breaking.
The comic is a lot less silly and has a lot better characterization on Hazmu and Yasuna. In the cartoon, Yasuna is just an ill girl that Hazmu feels responsible for and sticks with due to her being dependent on Hazmu, whereas here they actually show that it’s more because of Yasuna’s forceful personality that keeps them together. Also in the toon Hazmu is a lot more wish-washy with her reasoning to keep hovering between the girls, while in the comic, it really feels like every time she has a solid stance on whom she loves, the world opens up and flips everything around on her.
ANYWAY! I’m not here to talk about that, this is about how in the show it is lightly implied throughout that Hazmu may have in fact always been trans, but never came to terms with it and then got super sci-fi srs. One such implication us one of Hazmu’s most important childhoom memories is declaring that they would be Tomari’s bride while wearing a little flower ring on their head and being brought to tears after being told boys can’t be brides and only begrudgingly accepting having to be a groom.
Another interesting thing of note is that Hazmu never ever ever, for even a second seems to take issue with their new body or miss their old. She has to learn new clothes, but that’s pretty much it for her troubles with being a girl now.
Anyway, this brings us to the pages I have stacked here. The original comic actually, for reals, deals with this. This is the 19th chapter and for the first time, Hazmu is freaking the fuck out over where the hell she stands now, declaring herself not to be a real girl, but not a guy anymore. And on top of that, she realizes that, this being Japan, she and whichever girl she ends up with won’t be able to have a real wedding and they’ll actually have to put up with more than a little shit.
So yeah, the comic just hit me right in the face with some “real talk” about being trans and gay right as I’m in the middle of feeling friggin’ bummed about being trans and gay. I dunno if it made me feel better or worse, but it’s still interesting and I wanted to talk about it.
every day i think about the batman beyond post that's like "you didn't inject me with something that turns my cum into bruce wayne's cum did you?" i literally cannot imagine what i'd search to find it and i don't know what website it's even from (4chan maybe?) but it's on my mind

In Copenhagen you can visit The Round Tower. It used to be an astronomical observatory until light pollution and the vibrations from increased traffic in the streets made it useless for its original purpose.
Today it’s mostly famous for what it looks like on the inside.
It has an equestrian staircase though it’s so smooth it’s really just a gentle slope more than a staircase. It was build like that so our lazy bum king could ride his horse all the way to the top (king not in photo)
And naturally people have also driven cars up the tower
And held a bike race
For a while it was just sort of abandoned by the authorities and became a sloping marketplace
But today it has been restored and become a tourist spot as well as a popular destination for school trips. And yes, you can still watch the cosmos at the top.
And naturally
people have also driven
cars up the tower

ah fuck, so sorry ma’am-
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a slapping,
As of some one gently flapping, flapping at my chamber door.
“’Tis some fairy,” I muttered, “slapping at my chamber door—
Only this and nothing more.”
Quoth the walrus, "Are you sure?"
Took this as a challenge and queued this for two years from now
ID: tags from livingnotetonote that reads: in 2 years this will be incomprehensible. End ID
do you know what this is talking about
yes, i was there gandalf

Rogue Construct Adventurers can be dangerous and unpredictable and any one of them is capable of mass devastation.
However, there are reports of R.C.A's that enter a "suspended state".
Unless interacted with they stop all actions and only observe.
Long range spell sniping is recommended.
@copperbadge this seems up your alley
If the system ain't broke, don't fix it, I guess! Accounting may not be the oldest profession, but someone had to keep the books for them.
I mean, in theory I know that Excel is based on the structure of earlier accounting technology that's been around for hundreds of years -- what do we think we did to track commerce before computers? -- but it still kind of blows my mind to, for example, look at my ancestor's journal from a whaling voyage in 1770 and see spreadsheets in the back.
no way dude no way. there's just no way

Wild that folks keep saying beekeepers abuse bees as if bees are not both venomous flying animals and fully unionized
Hubris to think you COULD abuse bees
I think that if you see a balrog in an unlocked kitty kennel then you can assume that it wants to be there
Actually, beekeepers take many precautions to keep their bees from leaving.
many clip the wings of the queen, destroy new queen cells, cull queens they don't like and use bee pheromones to prevent a hive from naturally swarming or absconding. They also try and prevent mating with the African honey bee, which makes them less docile among other things. During artificial insemination of queens, drones are crushed and „spare“ queens are killed.
and commercial beekeepers even cull their hives during winter, or when they are not producing well.
Coupled with the fact that there is evidence that insects do feel pain, this is not great.
(Not to mention that honeybees are an invasive species in most places, competing with native pollinators and spreading disease)
It is so fucking bold of you to link the exact same paywalled book thirteen times in your reblog to throw people off the fact that you're using one source from 1859.
I don't think there's ever been a funnier vegan response in the history of this hell site. This is actual gold. If you cited an argument like this in a first year undergrad intro to bio module, then your lecturer would be legally entitled to fire you out of a cannon. I think I'm dying
