I’ve been having a rough month or two or maybe three… but this week is especially bad I think

Everyone is theorizing about Scratch programming Caine to host digital version of „players” minds to avoid his terminal illness (probably behind everyone’s back, as Kinger explicitly tells the party that Caine had no such function) but I think it was the other way around.

I believe that Scratch gave this task to his much more stable, trusted and better AI. I think Abel was born with purpose in mind, but when Caine absorbed his „brother” he inherited his purpose while being fundamentally unprepared for it.

That’s why Caine wants to fulfill his purpose so badly. That’s why he’s always failing.
