My family's story and my anxiety doesn't allow me to join the protest (I've have only been able to do so outside Chile), but I still support it, and here's what I have to say about it 🌱🇨🇱

Chile, October 2019.

President Sebastián Piñera just declared a “state of emergency" amid ceaseless anti-government protests taking place in Santiago. Law enforcement is illegally violating human rights. So far, 18 people have died.

Despite its recognition as a prosperous capitalist country, Chile experiences the greatest economic inequality in the developed world. The people have finally had enough of the injustice, so they’re rising up.

Let this be a lesson to the U.S., which is experiencing similar economic success despite increased economic inequality. The people are watching. Revolution is coming.
